I saw that and have been watching. They only fly on certain days though too It's the extra fees that are driving me towards SW.

8 days and counting!


It was a very busy week here. The wedding party went shopping and the bride found her dress and the bride's maids found their dresses too. DD16 is standing up in the wedding.

The price was not terrible and they found very cute shoes. I think it went well. No crazy girls in the party.

So much to do before we leave! My year end is Monday so I have to work this weekend.

The allergy season has not been bad so far this year. I am hoping it stays like it has been!

Your soooooooooooooooo right about allergy season. Asthma is in high gear around here. Work is busy as is home. Bug, is now on steroids and antibiotic's. {We are waiting for her to break out in hives with the antibiotic.}

EE22, which airport is minnie talking about? Just curious.

It was cold her today 50's. Ugh. Sunny and pretty out. Cannot wait till may!

Everyone has their trips planned for this summer.We are still so up in the air. No clue what we are doing at this point. I know we have a house with family in the Outer Banks in July. We are hoping to pair a trip to Orlando with that but everything depends on me getting a job. We have free dining bounce back for August 17 but if no job I have to be home in case I get called. Please some for a job before school lets out in June. If that happens we can hit Universal for a few days before free dining starts and then DW. That would be my dream. We shall see. But happy everyone else has plans.

Thanks for all of the . Praying for a job. We shall see. One more week of hard school work and I will be done.Cannot wait for that!

MKY: Sorry you are not feeling well. I missed that someplace around here.

EE22: DD13 had her first track meet today. After arriving about 30 minutes late and staying for 2 hours, she still was not done. She was in 3 events. How have you survived all these years? I bet the best part is that boys and girls compete at the same time.

TP2: the track meets are endless and they are worse in college because there are 4 throwing events rather than only 2.

The worst one ever was about 2 weeks ago...we got there around 9:30 am and we left at 7:30 pm. I walked several extra blocks too when I had to go potty...NOT using the porta potty

There was an indoor meet that was run so poorly...only 2 events indoors that we arrived at 10 am and left at 7 pm.

In a big meet like at Drake, the throwing events can last 1.5 hours or more with warmups and finals.

We froze last Saturday...40 degrees, high winds and soaking rain. It was brutal.

I'm throwing a party when this is all over. Flying out of Midway with Bug and MKY and we're coming to the Jersey Shore

EE22: She did 3 events, by the end she was shot and we were all freezing. Can't imagine a day like you described. Parents were all so confused too. No one knew when events were happening. I wanted to be there for her but then we were outa there!

Jersey Shore works. I can meet you guys there too! What a great idea. We should plan that!

Thr throws are at least easy to follow

the track is organized chaos to me!!!

We have stock in Under Armour and if she continues you should invest in a long sleeve turtleneck and some tights. They work. I wear them to meets under my jeans. For her and you!

I have a bag of stuff in my trunk...chairs, extra winter coat, scarves, gloves, eat muffs, blankets, hand warmers (buy them by the case at Sam's), rain suits.

Failing to prepare to preparing to fail!!!

EE22: We do have some Under Armour from soccer. She is going to have to use it. So you sit through the WHOLE thing.We left as soon as she was done. I still needed to make dinner and I am not done with my homework for today. Exhaused. Ready for a vacation!

I new I didn't exceed in sports for a reason. {I did gymnastic's} [too short for anything else] Never would of been able to focus through all that or last.

MKY - I agree with the sports thing. I failed at most I tried!

DD13 made the track team as an alternate...blessing or curse? She was so excited.

Candi: Thanks for the extra I need it in this job market. Have fun on your trip. Funny because I need a trip to look forward too. Just seems to keep me balanced.

The whole track thing, can't believe she had to run around that track 4 times. I had no idea what the numbers meant, I thought how they were placing but it was how many more times around the track. I would have passed out.

WOW....I just can`t believe I haven`t been getting any notifications for our Thread anymore....What`s up with that ?!!

MKY-Sorry your not feeling well...I suppose I could give you your own advice, but, of course, being the wonderful nurse you are, you know what to do already !!
Yes....we have great beaches here in New Jersey,up and down the shore is the place to be for the summer on the east coast.........but if you ask me, I`ll take a couple of weeks at Disney`s Boardwalk Leisure Pool myself !!

I know what it`s like for you gals to be out there in all kinds of weather routing for the kiddos to do the best they can in sports.....Mr. Tomar and I have been members of the "bleecher crew" for years while the boys played football in HS....Hang in there everyone ~!

one of the indoor running events...5000 meters they go 25 times around the track or some such insanity!!

I've been confused now at the college level because all markings are in meters! I have a cheat sheet in my purse!
