mky....I so forgot about the shower games!
it was a small group although the shower lasted a LONG TIME!!!

We played pictionary of baby items and also played charades of pregnancy terms...that was interesting:rotfl2:
Good Luck!

I have one week left and the invasion of 1 has occurred. My house...looks like a bomb went off in it.

MKY: Hope that shower went well. You are probably cleaning up right now.

Question for all of you. We are planning on driving :scared: from Corolla, NC to Orlando this summer. DD11 really wants to hit HP at Universal as does DD13. Of course I just want to be in Disney but I am trying to be fair. We are only staying 1 week, no extensions. My question, would you stay for the full week at RP or would you spend one night at RP and then move to Bonnet Creek for the week? I am undecided if we should just do one full Universal trip or just squeeze Universal in but do other Orlando attractions. You all know I am a die hard Disney fan that never leaves property for 2 weeks.:rolleyes1 This trip is throwing me for a loop!

I think a week at Universal is far, far too long. RP is very expensive too for a hotel room. I think you could get a lot more at Bonnett Creek. You'd need two early days for Universal at least. If you stay two nights at RP it buys you 3 early days into the parks. I personally think you'll find that 3 full days is enough there. There is just not the entertainment that there is at WDW to fill up the time.

So...I'd stay two nights.

2 nights gives you 3 days of front of the line access too which is wonderful!! Universal/IOA is a blast.

Tickets are going up soon at WDW. They went up today at Disneyland. This is earlier than last year.

:wave2:

Hi Everyone!

Okay, what a busy May I am having. We had a GREAT time at Disney. I was amazed at how much time we spent together as a group. I thought for sure everyone would take off in different directions but for the most part, all 9 of us stayed as a group. It was fabulous. I have decided to never do the dinning plan again as I gained 7 pounds eating all the deserts. :scared:

We got home Sunday night and then Friday night I took DD13 and a friend from school to Toronto to try out for "The Next Star". It is like American Idol for under 15 year old Canadians. The ride there was so loud with the kids wound up with excitement.

We stayed overnight at a hotel in downtown Toronto and got up at 4am and stood in line for most of the day. They were able to get into a bunch of the taping shots for the commercials so they may end up on TV. I think that would be a lot of fun for them. They did not make it past the group audition and were devistated! The ride home as quiet as they were so dissappointed and tired.

I am off to Philli tonight for a conference and won't be home till Friday night. So I am going to need a rest period in June!

I am trying to learn about Universal as well because I have promised the kids that is where our next Florida trip will be. We are looking at next March break and I am thinking three nights in Hard Rock would be enough. Then I have a deal at the Holiday Inn Orange Lake Resort that we are going to use for the other 5 nights. No Disney for us next March will be sad, but I think I am ready for something new as well.....but I would love to cruise instead!

Better run as I need to unpack and then repack so I can leave at 2:30pm.

:laundy:

Hiya everyone :yay:

Happy Weekend! We are exhausted. The shower is tommorrow. Nurses do weird nights for things. We had to pick a day that our 12hr people would all be off and going. And not run into graduations etc... . .

We are shinned polished and almost ready. Have a few more jobs and then finished the decorating tommorrow. Have food and snacks all prep-ed and ready to go. I pick up the cake tommorrow afternoon. Have games planned and hoping it does not get as cold tommorrow as they are saying. I wanted to open up the deck and use that as part of the party area.

Send pixie dust > the boys behave. I really don't want to be embarrassed. I am scared they will cry and bark through the whole thing. :confused3

Candi, great news about the trip! Glad everything worked out so well.

TP2, congrat's on planning your trip. Sounds nice! Bonnet creek, looks very nice and great location. I agree with EE22, stay 2 nights and you can use the "front of the line" pass for 3 days. That should be more than enough time, for US. But, I agree > stay at US if you go there.
You can still go to DTD ;) no tix needed. :wizard:

I can't wait till tommorrow is over. :sad2: Oh well maybe > it will turn out ok??

mky princess:

Hi Guys !!:grouphug:
wow I missed alot of chatting !....Our younger DS and his GF were over for the weekend. It was really a lovely weekend weather wise here in NJ..

MKY- Good Luck today with the Shower !!:cutie:::yes:::wave2: Im sure you will be the perfect Hostess !! :tinker:

TP2- Congrats on your Summer Vacation...Can`t help in the US area ...we haven`t been there in a longggg time....:upsidedow

EE22- Sounds like Great advice in the ticket dept. ....This year Ive been finding "Sticker Shock" on every phase of our Disney Trip...(including the summer AP rates....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :crazy2:)

Hope everyone has a great week !!!pixiedust:pixiedust:

:scared::scared::scared:So I am so used to Disney planning...it is now so easy and fun.:goodvibes This whole Universal thing is giving me a headache.:coffee: So I think EE22 is right, 2 nights are enough at Universal so now I am back to moving to BC. Gotta call and try to reserve tomorrow. Spoke with DD11, who is the huge push for HP and she only wants to do HP and can care less about the rest of the park.:p Some things look way too scary for DD7 and after reading trip reports, it seems that people are done after a day and a half. Now just wondering if the onsite hotel is really necessary because you cannot use front of line access for HP, which seems to be the only place you really need it.:scratchin

MKY: Sure you are exhausted and cleaning right about now. Hope the shower went well. Bet you are glad it is over!

TP2: You need to determine if being at RP allows you to arrive an hour early for park opening. If you come in with the masses, it will be packed. And, the walk from the parking ramp is HUGE!

You should do Spiderman...it's not scarey for the older ones and it's a sweet ride!!

EE22: We get early entry and we get front of the line but not in HP. But there are neighbor hotels that also offer the early entry just not FOTL, but they cost like $79 per night instead of $300 per night, when only staying 2 nights. If we stay the full 7 nights the price drops to $195 per night but they also charge $17 per day to park so that changes things up. BC is $120 per night and free parking and free shuttles to Disney. Plus a kitchen so we would save on food and of course the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms!
