mky...you are really moving in on that!!
track will be here soon!

no snow yet! I'll keep you posted.

59 days for us too!

MKY - if you want to stay at a DVC resort in a studio, I can give you a $ to rent points so you can see if it is cheaper for you. I have points for this year I probably won't be using and will end up renting or banking.

We hit the fabric store and bought fabric for the Fish Extender :lmao: The poor women who helped us was not sure what we had gotten into as the mechanics of sewing are over our heads. :rotfl:

I think we bought okay fabric. It took some time since we are trying to do it on the cheap! :confused3 DD15 picked out this horrible fabric that she spent an hour trying to convince us would work. It was all fun though.

As for the snow, I am glad I am in the Southern part of the Great White North as it has been missing us for the most part. I am hoping Nashville does not get a lot of bad weather as our plane stops there on the way to Orlando. I avoided Chicago due to all the issues it can have.

EE22, thanks keep us posted. :thumbsup2

Candi, Still not sure what direction we will go to for the extra 3 days in august. But, thanks anyway. I know what you mean about airports here.

mky:cutie:

Looks like it will be a white morning for many of us.... How many more days until spring ;)

Great news to share... DF loved our weekend last fall and wants to book a week long trip :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1: Snookered him in with a beautiful courtyard view at the WL & grave diggers at the MNSSHP :rotfl:

Wish we could go for a week in Oct as DF loved it but it's too busy at work then.... Anyone ever been during mid June? DF is still not a "theme park" guy and the crowds concern me... In his way of thinking no ride is worth a line and loves fireworks so no early evenings for rope drops..

The only dates in June are smack in the middle of the black out code rates too...

So any thoughts on if this would work or do I need think the dates :confused3

Been in June Minnie...crowds are not bad with no discounts going on.

The buy 3 get whatever last year made it busy, but that's not going on this year. There tends to not be as much rain either as July I think, but you know how that goes.

I converted DH too...it can be done:laughing:

Not sure what to tell you about no discounts. They may still offer aps, but I don't know if you have one or not.

AVOID JULY = TOUR GROUPS AND THAT WOULD NOT BE GOOD!

8:45 mky CST...no snow

I need to embrace a snow day if we have one...this will NOT be easy for me!

it started snowing at 5am this morning (its now 8am), and schools were closed before 6:30am... we shall see how this snow "storm" lands.... i bet all the bread, milk and eggs are gone within a couple hours at work.. lol.. silly hoosier people..

They missed again on this storm...but this time it's a good thing. Well, 2-5 and we have around 2, but it was going to snow all day and it is a bit, but not much.

The city didn't plow at all though:confused3DH said it's very slick as a result. With DD driving, I am glad we have a 2 hour late start. Her first class will be at 1:45 with the different schedule! :laughing:she has been pulling for a late start this semester!

TP2: pulling for a snow day so you can plan a bit. :lovestrucIt will come up fast.

I looked over the DL stuff last night and then gave up with the menus as there is not much out there to eat for me.

I don't like snow days...our first one takes away Good Friday and the 2nd takes our work day at the end of 3rd quarter so then we have to do the work over spring break or cram it in somewhere else.

Hiya everyone,

Yes, we got hit, again. Ugh. about 4 inches only. Bug, and I shoveled after work and now about another inch is down. It is still snowing off and on. At least it was a real light fluffy snow.

Minnie, we went in June a few times. The crowds tend to be star war weekends and gay days. Definately check the dates at gaydays.com It is a huge group that goes. They can be pretty rowdy too. We have overlapped with their group, but just go know their designated park for the day and stay off their schedule. This will help with the crowds. The weather is wonderful in June. warm but not sweltering yet. Sunny, and not as much rain as rest of summer.

TP2 & Tomar, Your going to get nailed. Looking like the south's snow storm is overlapping with ours. :scared1: Hoping it goes out to sea quickly.

JMouse, hope your day at work wasn't too bad.

EE22, wondering if DL does the chef visits for allergies, and / or makes you something special you could eat? The wdw web site where you set up dining keeps saying to call 1 to 2 weeks out before trip and talk to them about your special food issues. I would think they should do it too?

Happy planning, and stay warm, mky:cutie:

mky...I am sure DL will...I just don't know as much about DL. I am also not sure about the DTD places that are not Disney. If it were just DH and I, I'd handle things differently and with my experience of an hour wait at the one place, if I can find something on the menu that I like I go with it to avoid waiting etc. DL menus seem to be heavy in seafood which I also cannot eat. I found that in DC as well.

I believe my nut allergy has become more of an issue though too which is not good. The wrong food could ruin my trip so I have to be very careful. I was pretty sick two days over break from something I ate and I believe it was something that "may" contain traces of nuts. This is not a good thing. I'm sure dairy will be the same with cross contamination.

I will keep on the search...I just became overwhelmed last night and work is rather hectic too.

Can't be too bad...I'll be at Disney!

and another day of snow! school was closed again.. they are gonna hve to make the days up at the end of the year soon if they dont have to already..lol.. glad im not in school anymore..

mky... work wasnt bad.. just a pain in the butt, but thats normal..last night was a tiny bit better, but at 5am, management informed me that i had to bin yesterdays and todays overstock.. when we leave at 7am. not only that but it was one of our co-manager's last night on nights, he is going back to days for 6 months, and we get Isabelle back for 6 months. so they stopped us working to have some cake.(not complaining). Then when i got back i had todays overstock to bin, and i also had to fight a 10-pallet milk truck being pulled in. btw, i work in Dairy most of the time..

but i am home, and warm till tonight when i have to do it all over again.. ick..

how many days till disney again.. lol

i think when you are there, if you tell them you allergies, they might be able to suggest something to meet your needs.. thats how i did it when i was down there, since i dont eat meat.. they were very nice about it.

ADR Call date coming up this Weekend for the Tomars :woohoo::woohoo:

That would mean to me.......SPRING!!!! :flower::flower2::rose:

EE22- Im sure you would be able to have the chefs come out and see you at any Disney Restaurant in DL this summer ...I hope they can make something special for you, that won`t give you an allergic reaction !! :flower3:

TP2- How did you guys fare today, with all this S-N-O-W ??!!!

Jmouse- Glad you had all day to rest up and stay warm !:goodvibes

Happy Disney Daydreaming everyone !! :grouphug:

They are, but I have special meals made for me. My allergies are too severe to risk taking a chance. I just know WDW better than DL and which ones are the greatest to visit because of a wait. I will just have to visit with the Chef. I may stick to order off the menu places which seem to be what most of them are at DL. I have to figure out if they even offer food that they could use to make me something. Like the Castle...they just made me plain chicken.

Sorry about your snow TP2 and Tomar, but I hope TP2 had some good planning time and good luck with your adrs on Saturday Tomar!

We have 6 inches of snow that fell yesterday. It is nice and fluffy so not too bad to shovel.

My DH step father is in the hospital and is in respiratory failure. It won't be long as his breathing is getting very laboured. Please send pixie dust for a peaceful passing.

The kids are having a hard time with it. We spent time at the hospital today and attempted to say our goodbyes. He was not really awake except for a short moment. They don't plan to have a funeral so that will be hard for me and the kids....I don't understand that point of view. :confused3

Im sorry to hear that. its never easy on anyone.. let alone the kids...

some people dont believe in funerals..so that could be the case.. or it could have just been his wishes.
