Tomar: I remember that story about the chicken pox. I am actually okay with it. We were supposed to have 20 people for dinner, we were all looking forward to it but we will have a great day anyway. I just have to find out if my parents can come. They may be all alone and I would hate that.

Yes, 24/7 with no sleep since Sunday evening. 20 minutes here, 40 minutes there. One night our nurse was someone I know from school. Her daughter and DD11 are friends. She was so good to us. She made sure to come to the room before the iv bells would ring. I got like 5 hours of much needed sleep that night.

Happy to be home. I guess the adrenaline gets you through it all. I got home and lost it. All the stress and lack of sleep all hit at the same time.

Thanks again for all the support. You guys are the best.

the Princess will be fine soon ...she has a wonderful Mommy and Daddy taking care of her
So Glad that you actually knew one of the nurses...that always helps....We know MKY ........and I know Ive learned alot of things from the wonderful nurse she is !

Tomar, you are too kind. and I agree with you, tp2 is a great mom. thanks for the b-day wishes.

TP2, kinda helps to hear of your hospital stay. Sometimes we feel under appreciated. Makes you better at your job, if it seems liked you helped someone. Get some rest and hang in there. Like the bumper sticker says, one day at a time.

Bug, wants to go to new moon tonight. 10pm show? Thinks it might not be nuts that late. We will see.

Nurses are definately underappreciated. You guys never know what you are going to get. At one point DD5 actually beat up the nursing staff. They made me leave the room so I have no idea how bad it got but we never had the same nurse twice. I just kept apologizing.

MKY: Having your help on the sidelines helps to reinforce my confidence that I am doing the right thing for her care. Her machine stopped beeping!

Tomar: She looks so much better but she is on prednisone, tamiflu, zithromax, pulmacort, xopenex, plus there was another antibiotic they gave intraveniously. Way too much meds. Scares the life out of me.

TP2, Yeah, for no beeping! Meds sound right. Seems like a lot to you, but they all have a purpose. Good job!

TP2- I have to agree with the "expert" MKY ...Ive taken all of those meds (in adult form ) when I had Pneumonia...so they sound right...I too...felt like I was being overmedicated...but like MKY said...they all have a purpose
AND...I agree that ...Nurses are underappreciated !...I realized that, when I was in the hospital back in `07....I adored all of the nurses that were on the cardiac floor...and told them "If I wasn`t so darn happy to get out of there" ...I was gunna miss them all
Sooo glad that the Princess looks better tonight !

MKY - happy birthday to your mom. I am glad she had a good day for it.

TP2 - I feel so bad for you and DD Hang in there.

Everytime my kids got sick when they were little they ended up in the hospital, mostly for dehydration, but it was always the worst thing ever. And yes nurses are underappreciated but I think it might be because of the state of mind than lack of understanding. Hard to focus outside of the needs of the children I guess. I wonder how many people go home and are ashamed of how they acted.

Try to get your rest so you don't get sick too.

EE22 - you should see Detroit traffic since they raised the speed limit. It is like driving Indy car. Mind you I don't mind it so maybe that says something about me I hear Montreal is worse than anything but I have not had the pleasure of trying to drive there yet.

My DD14 is doing fine. The asthma is only bothering her during gym class so that is a good thing.

I hope everyones week leading up to your Thanksgiving is quiet.

TP2...I hope you are resting now that you're home. I'm not sure what the girls have off from school this week, but I hope you all get the much needed rest that you need. Don't beat yourself up either...kids turn very sick, very fast. It's very difficult to know when to do what. If it makes you feel any better last spring break we made DS go to school with Influenza B right before spring break and he's much older. He was very sick. There is no handbook that comes with the kids

I have had several kids out with H1N1 and they missed a week of school. I'm not sure how they will ever get caught up with the worked they missed at the high school.

MKY - I start tomorrow. But I spend half the day at the office today helping out with a board of directors meeting. It gave me a chance to meet a few people.

I am glad the H1N1 has slowed down a bit.

TP2 - I hope she is starting to feel better.

I hope your first day went well Candi.

My friend Laura from work just called and they are having a blast at WDWThey just left Osbourne Lights and were heading back for some rest! I guess the wait for Space Mountain was huge so they were calling to get advice on that and TSM...didn't get to ride it as the fastpasses were all gone and the wait was HUGE!!! They are going back Thursday.

They LOVED Soarin' and they are eating themselves around the parks with free dining

I think she is grateful now though. She told her doctor last night that she loves her. She is out of school for the rest of this week, thank goodness we only had school on Tuesday. Otherwise she would have been really behind. At least it is only kindergarten.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know what we are thankful for this year. We are happy to all be together.

Tomar, is there an italian dish with that turkey? I am off and off friday too. Working the weekend thou. T-day is notoriously the worst holiday weekend. Always nuts.

EE22, OOOooo wish we where there too. Last t-day we where at mgm. Ugh. Oh well 107 days to gooooooooooo.

1/2 done with xmas shopping. Thought about putting up my trees tonight, but will wait. This is dumb: Housekeeping used a chemical at work yesterday, that set off my asthma> and I pulled a muscle or something in my neck coughing. Feels like whiplash. Ugh. At least quick use of my inhaler [the old trusty one, that eats up the enviorment > not proair] Settle the attack after 2 hours. Just relieved that I am still not tight or coughing. But my neck hurts. I am such a baby. So will wait till I feel a little better. Maybe I can get out of dishes tommorrow???

My big purchase was a new blanket...I only wish I had thought to get one for DS for his dorm room. I might head back this weekend. I am starting a list of what he will need. Blanket, sheets, alarm clock...don't think he wants to take his M&M one with him.

My friend from work loved WDW!! They want to go back next year!! I have them hooked!!

I actually was crazy enough to go out on Black Friday at 4 AM to get my DS a new cell phone. He paid for it and went with me for the madness, but it was marked from 99.99 to 49.99 for the day. I was wondering if $50 savings is really worth the madness, but he was thrilled.

Hiya everyone!

Had a nice thanksgiving, Bug is really getting the hang of cooking. I finally finished my decorating. Got all the trees up. 1 large in front room, 1 smaller in family room, 1 crystal ball / silver tree in kitchen [its the tree we had at the contempary resort, a few years ago], then our 2 tiny disney tree's in bug's room and mine. Ugh. I also added a few extra touches outside today. Packed all boxes back in attitic thats it. We like to put stuff up kinda early, cause my mom likes it put away by bugs b-day on the 27th. Left up to me, it would be up through January.

It is suppose to snow here tommorrow, and start getting colder each day now. It was in the 50's today and really nice.

Haven't found anything really cheap with shopping. Carson's here had some pretty good coupons, as did macy's. But, just need something for mom.

We are at 101 days!!Today!
That came up so fast. I hope winter flies by. My hands are totally raw, from washing them at work so much, and using the disenfectants constantly, not to mention the cold air on them.

Well, Thanksgiving is over.....Im THANKFUL !! ...Too much food...Too much work ....and....Too many Calories !!

MKY-Yep....I made Baked Ziti and Stuffed Peppers , as well as meatballs and Sausage in my Pasta Sauce, besides the "Bird"...Alot of Food was going around the Tomar house for Thanksgiving !!
WOW...you are really getting in the Christmas Spirit...How wonderful ....4 trees !!! WHOO HOO !
Im so sorry about your hands...but....better safe than sorry I ...Ive been using the Bath and Body works Anti Bacterial sooo much myself..
100 more days and your gunna be going back to the world....YIPEE !!

TP2- How is the Little Princess doing?
Im hoping that you are ok too ....and caught up on some rest as well

EE22- Black Friday was an Event here in New Jersey ...We did do some shopping though, mostly for the Princess ....Hope you can get DS some great bargins for his Dorm Room while the Christmas sales are in place
