Congrats Candi. I am happy for you. My cousin lost her job earlier in October. I am not sure what she will do.

mky: they don't have normal flu or enough swine flu and I am not high enough up on the list to get swine. I suppose if I was going to get it...I would have...many gone from work...students and staff. I don't understand the 3 am thing...that sounds horrible.

I hope TP2 and Tomar stay well.

I am doing better. I did finally determine what I am allergic to which is why they switched medicines on me. It was a nasty reaction that's all I know.

:wave2: hiya everyone :wave2:

Candi That is great news!!!!:banana::dance3::woohoo::banana:
So exciting. It will have to be less stress than the auto industry. Now, is it up in Canada, or still Detroit? What is going to happen with your vacation time, or haven't you heard yet?
CONGRATULATIONS !!!!

EE22, I would think working with kids :teacher: You are high on the list? Just think how much contact with kids you have daily. :scared1: I forgot, Congratulation to Amanda, on the braces off. I remember my day to clearly. It is a wonderful feeling! :wizard: Was DS handsome as usual for his pictures?

** Interesting Swine flu fact ** The most contagious day, is said to be the day before symptoms appear! No wonder every is spreading it around. Well, got my shot on Friday, and no signs of problems or flu symptoms. So I didn't get it from the shot. Good luck, everyone and stay healthy.

mky:cutie:

WOW...alot of congrats tonight !!! :goodvibes

Candi- Congratulations !!!!! :banana::cool1::banana:
Soo happy you landed the job you were wanting !!! Sorry to hear your not feeling well though....Hope your feeling better soon :flower3:...

DL11-- Congratulations on taking off the braces !!! :yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo:

MKY :cutie:- Thank you for all the up to the minute info on the H1N1....I am soooo overly cautious these days...its amazing:scared1:....If a person so much as sneezes near me I go bezerk !
Started the Root canal today, (that was put on the back burner since I broke my tooth on our Wishes Cruise night.)...I kept looking to see how the dentist was using the instruments...and how he cleaned everything.....
I must have went through a dozen little Bath and Body works Hand sanitizers already !!! :goodvibes

EE22- So happy that you are finally aware of what the allergic reaction is coming from

Evening everyone, :wave2:

Well, this past weekend we did our plane and car ressies. Finally. So all day I have been working the big board with park times, and planning. Just finished our ADR's. Ugh. I know, I am not on time, but wow. Really picked over. The hardest ressie I had was tony's town square. Must be the lacking resturants at mk. :confused3 They where offering [did this all online] the castle, B, L, or D. no one must be interested in the high prices. St. Patrick's day was kinda hard too. I know from past experience, it is not a holiday celebrated in florida. Which is really hard from the chicago area. We go all out. I asked 1 year if anyone was serving corned beef and cabbage for the holiday and no one knew what we where talking about. :rolleyes1 Sorry, but a rueben sandwich does not cut it. ;) Finally found in epcot, the rose and crown chef was making a special dinner. So got that adr, but it is definately not the time we wanted. Oh well. We wheren't looking for Canada, or Italy, so not sure how hard those where. Just seemed like the mk was off limits for some reason. It must be going to be very busy.

Anywho > when you reach your 180 do it. I am sure the summer will be even worse. With the adr online system, lots of people using it.

In March we are suppose to spend some time with our cousin and family that moved to Tampa area last year. So not sure about that. If we are going there or they will visit wdw for a while. :confused3 That should be nice. We have a very tiny family and he is my age. So we have to arrange all that.

Well, think I will call it a nite early today. I am still recovering from my OT.

Tomar, no problem. :wizard::thumbsup2

mky:cutie:

Thank you!!!
The day was uneventful which is all I can ask for:laughing:

I think mky you're in high spring break time with adrs too which doesn't help. Also, with the new dining system sometimes they don't have places loaded right so check back.

Teachers as far as I know are not high on the list which seems lame as teenagers are in the higher risk group. Go figure:confused3 I still think that's what I had this summer. I took tickets last night too at the football game so if I'm gonna get...I will.

MKY - the March trip is still on. They did not want specifics but I told them I had three weeks planned and paid for next year. Then I talked to the CFO and she did not feel that either time would be a huge problem.

We are at Disney with you in March and then Colorado in July with our friends.

I quit my job yesterday and the reactions have been unexpected to say the least. I thought my boss was going to pass out when I told him. He thought I was kidding and then turned white as a ghost, which can be hard for an Italian to do. :lmao:

A lot of people have been very positive when they hear where I am going and what I will be doing. So that is nice. The vice president (was the plant manager when I started) sent me a nice note that he had mixed feelings about me leaving. Happy for me but sad that he would be losing such a great contributor :cloud9:.

I have to start a list of people that want me to stay in touch or want to know if I will be hiring. :rotfl: I do work with some good people and it will be harder to leave than I thought. But it is all for the best and I am very excited.

I would have been there for 19 years this coming February. A lot of people are just shocked or think the it is rumor. :rotfl:

Stay well everyone.

Hi Everyone.

Everyone must be so busy these days. It was an incredibly nice day today and it was good to get out and rake the leaves. I decided to leave them all to try to hide the piles of dirt around the house :lmao:

DD14 is in Toronto with her Grandma for the weekend. She has sent email to let me know she is having fun. :thumbsup2

I hope everyone is feeling okay and keeping well.

:grouphug:

Hiya everyone, :yay:

WOW, what a beauitful weekend, to be off. We had great weather too. Sunny, 70's & blustery. We did our leaves again on sat. I hope that will be the last time, this year.

Hope everyone got the same weather. And had a great weekend. Back to the grind tommorrow.

mky:cutie:

Hi Guys !! :goodvibes
Gorgeous weather here also at the Jersey Shore today...it was in the 70`s !!:woohoo::beach:
MKY-:cutie:...Glad you got the leaves out of the way...we have a HUGE Bradford Pear tree in the front of our house...that is still holding on to dear life it looks like !....Im afraid we are gunna be doing leaves well into the winter with that tree ! :scared1:
Candi- Ive been shopping for the newest addition to the Tomar family this week:cloud9: ( so I haven`t been posting much)....we bought the baby the "Mickey Vintage" bedding for his crib at BabiesRus, and the Princess ...The Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs (actual dolls) that she wanted for Christmas...

Im not much into the holidays this year guys ....with the loss of Nana, Id much rather skip it really:sad1:....but Christmas is for the kids (besides the religious aspect :littleangel:)...so we have to smile (when underneath I feel the complete opposite :sad2:)
Hope everyone had a great weekend !!:grouphug:

Tomar - it must be fun to shop for the grandchildren for Christmas. :goodvibes

It can be hard to celebrate Christmas when you have suffered a loss but I like to think they are celebrating with us on those days. This will be our first Christmas without DH's dad. He passed when we were on the Magic in March. I like to think we are closer to him (and others) on Christmas. But I can understand how hard it must be for you loosing Nana.

I donate a plant for the front of the church at Christmas for each of the ones I will be thinking about. It is a small way of remembering them and nothing looks nicer than all of the pointsetias (not sure on the spelling) around the church on Christmas Eve. Then I give the plant to one of the older members or someone I know is a little sad and it seems a nice way to close the circle as the plant will chear them up a bit. That is one way I try to cope with not having them around in person.

Our minister holds a Blue Christmas service every year. It is intended to help those that are not feeling very joyous during the holidays. It really helps those that are struggling.

Candi- We did the same thing years ago when my boys were younger....we donated a poinsetta plant (for the Alter) in memory of a lost loved one each Christmas..My both DS`s were Alter Boys and went to the Perocial school that was attached to our church...:littleangel:
I just don`t feel so overly joyous this Christmas (and believe me, Christmas was always my favorite holiday)...I know that time heals all wounds...but your right...the first Christmas is probably the worst...and I feel like I have an empty hole in my heart right now....I remember that your DH`s Dad passed one month before Nana did ....I was so sorry for your loss as well :sad2:
The Blue service sounds just right for the way us folks, that have lost a loved one ,are feeling right about now:angel:
On a brighter note:...yes, I adore shopping for the Perfectly Princess
And now, for the expected new Prince in the Tomar family as well !! :goodvibes

Hiya everyone :wave2:

Tomar & Candi :grouphug: Hang in there. Thinking about both of you. :grouphug: I hope you can find a little piece of joy, in something for season approaching. Remember, we are all here for you's.

EE22, Hope things start to settle down soon.

TP2, Having any plans for turkey day yet? Have fun shopping for the girls. :wizard:

Everyone, we are thigh high with flu at work. Be careful. Seems to be spreading more here & more serious. A really terrible cough, and everyone sounds the same coughing? for some reason. :confused3
Well, the good news is lots of overtime, being offered. :rolleyes1

Happy wednesday, mky:cutie:

Hiya everyone,

TP2 & Tomar, Heard you guys where getting some wicked weather. Hope things clear up soon.

Its gloomy here, but not raining yet. Maybe tommorrow. Since the time change, I go to work in the dark & its dark 1/2 hr after I get home. This is so depressing.

Mom, is having more issues. Things have been bad. Bug painted the kitchen today [i was at work] to make her feel better > a little. Worried about holidays here. I think they will change alot after this year.

Good news is I haven't caught the flu yet. Been around alot of sick people too. It is a very nasty virus. One of the nurses caught it and said very high fevers, and aches. But she was all better in a week & considered not contangious too. At least it is fairly quick, unless you get complications. Which is all we see at work.

Miss you guys, guess everyone is real busy. Getting ready for T - day. Hard to believe its in 2 weeks.

Have a great weekend, Hope everyone is doing better. Mky:cutie:

Hi Everyone! I've been so busy and having such issues with my allergies. I guess I'm going to have to be tested...I am calling tomorrow, but I am better. I removed everything citric acid that I can think of from my diet and worse from products...body wash, soap, shampoo, eye cream. It's not easy either. I do feel a lot better though and my eyes are starting to settle down. I haven't found any hand soap yet though.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom mky. That is not good at all. I'm so sorry.

DL11 and I are probably heading to Chi Town for a day over winter break. WDW is still way too expensive. She wants to hit Macy's and there are none here so we will probably do that. We'll have to check into a meeting spot mky and Bug, but I know it's a busy time of year. It will be after the 25th. We are in school until the 23rd. It will be that next week. We'll come over on the tollway as it's less traffic and shop near Aurora.

The flu hit our school hard about two weeks ago, but things seem better now. They all looked like me at WDW with a nasty cough.

My family is having a hard time with the loss of my aunt last Memorial Day...she cooked like no other too so I am sure this Thanksgiving will be very difficult for her as will Christmas as well.

I hope everyone is hanging in there. I'll try to be around more mky! DH's computer crashed and I got a new one...now he's getting a new one so we've been busy. Work and school with the kids is just total insanity. I am hoping I can get into the allergist before Thanksgiving, but I'm not sure how that is going to go.

I'm currently pulling for a deal to DL so it's cheaper for this summer. We could go a year early:laughing:

Hey EE22, :yay:

I am so excited you guys are coming east. Yes, we will plan.:thumbsup2 Glad your doing a little better. Good luck with the allergist.

Funny, you brought up disneyland. I was thinking all week about it, too. Thinking if we don't use AP vouchures, I could hold on to them & take our next trip west??? A friend of mine planned a very smart trip out west a few years ago, and might want to do it his way. He flew to las vegas, stayed a day and a half then on the third day rented a car and drove to DL, stayed there for 4 days and then a Universal day > then drove back to LV and stayed 2 more nites and flew home. We did a bus tour to DL for the day last time we went to LV and the ride is about 2 hours and not bad at all. I think it was 1 highway only. Airfare to LV is very reasonable. Not that we are big gamblers but seeing all the "new" things would be fun. And seeing a little of the scenery would be nice. [all desert].

But, I would probably go into wdw withdrawl, and change my mind.:rotfl:

Well, hang in there and hope you figure out these food allergies. :wizard:

mky:cutie:

MKY: Sorry about your mom.:sad2:

Sorry I have not been around much. Had DD11 and DD9 birthdays this week. 4 parties and all the shopping. I am shot. DD5 has been miserable. Her asthma is kicking her butt the last couple of weeks. 4 times on the nebulizer today and she is still wheezing. No sleep for me. Doctor tomorrow, I have a feeling it is now bronchitis and she has an ear infection that she won't let me treat. Very stubborn.
