Tomar: So sorry you were so sick. For me, stomach issues are the worst and I get crazy when I see someone throw up. I run and throw everyone in the tub with Clorox!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I'm not really kidding.:rolleyes1

AWW...TP2, thank you sooo much !:goodvibes
I feel better today...and I know what you mean...this is the WORST !!!:scared1:
I rather have a sore throat ..than this ...anytime.., and I really really know what you mean about the clorax....I must have used rubbing alcohol on everything that I could in the house  especially door knobs ! ...I seriously don`t want to ever EVER:eek: ...get this again !!!! :headache:

So sorry to hear the TOMARs are sick! I hope you are feeling much better .... SOON!

I asked DH about the "ADR" issue (he's the one that always calls) .... he said he just says "I need to make dining reservations." :confused3 Of course, he always calls the WDW-DINE number, not CRO.

He did, however, get a snippy CM yesterday ...... He was calling to make the deposit on our May trip .... He didn't have the ressie # and the CM made issues with him that he NEEDS that number! He said "if you knew how many trips to WDW I'm planning right now, you would understand how I have a hard time keeping up with all the numbers!" :rotfl: He actually had to call back today b/c it was so difficult. When he called today, he still didn't have the # .... new CM, no problem!

Hiya everyone!:cheer2:

Tomar:sick: So sorry you all caught a "bug". Hope your feeling better. :wizard: That desert at Cape may sounds great, But bug is allergic to CHOCOLATE. :headache: Which she is not really happy about.

I have to say being in health care, I rarely get bugs. I am exposed to so many germs daily, we have a pretty good immunity. I only get sick, if my asthma is acting up. [or I am on a plane] :cool2:

The adr contravsary: I always call them adr's. :confused3 No one ever has given us a problem. We will see sat. Ok, question: On sat I can make 10 days of ressies. But when can I get the rest made? Last year they would not let me make past 10> till each individual day was 180, exactly. I tried to make the #11 on 181, and would not do it.

EE22, we are giving you a run, for bad weather queen now. It has been freezing all day and snowing / blowing like crazy for 2 days. Congrats on the Air fare. Yes, your on your way. :teacher: How many more days of school?

TP2, I know what you mean. We usually go to chicago and the auto show, stay a long weekend in Feb. and I told sis, we can drive up go to the chicago auto show and then come home.:wizard: This haul to august is gonna be hard.

Candi, glad I could help.;) Your almost down to 1 month.:woohoo:

Today was our last day to turn in vac. request for 08 March > march 09. I threw in my last 2 weeks in March 09'. Not sure if anything will materialize for it. But started to lay some ground work discussions with bug. So I am thinking aug 08, march 09, & aug 09? That would be a nice break.:rolleyes1 :dance3:

Happy Planning, mky:cutie:

Hi MKY - 35 days to go but counting down.:thumbsup2

I have so many things going on in February it should pass quickly.
:cool1:

My DH got four free tickets to a Red Wings game last night and we took the kids for the first time.

We were in the lower bowl, 13 rows off the ice and center with the face off circle near the net...great seats.

Gordie Howe was signing his book and we bought one and we were able to chat to him a bit. The book is wonderful. It even has a picture of the Stanley Cup team from 1949-1950 - which my husband's uncle was part of.

Then Wayne Gretzky's dad was sitting a couple of rows over so I got a picture and and autograph from him as well.

Then DD9 - managed to get onto the Jumbo screen - with a nice zoomed in shot - which she was just dying to do.

So we had a great night last night - late but good.

I hope everyone manages to fight off all the bugs going around.

Candi: Sounds like you had quite the night.

Hoping to keep all the germs at bay. One of the kidos I watch made me call her mom at work because her throat hurts. She went home early this week because of a stomach ache. We thought all these kids were faking because they wanted some time home but we are now thinking that maybe she has strep. It is running rampid in our school. I was going to keep her home but her mom said to send her in and she will pick her up.

MKY: So exciting to get to make your ADR's. I know I will keep using the term, I guess until I call and then I will just make dining reservations.:rotfl:

August hours are finally out. I just need a parade schedule which I hear may take a couple of more days. I really want to just sit around in my sweats and figure out my trip. Gotta run some errands and then hopefully when I get home the hours will be up.

Tomar: Glad to hear you are feeling better. Nothing fun about the stomach bug. Looks like I may see a round of something here next week. I have stock in Lysol!

hiya everyone,

TP2, thanks for the heads up on the hours being out.

Big day tommorrow. :dance3: Bright and early.;)

Candi, that sounds like you guys had a great time. The kids will never forget it.

MKY - yes I do think the game will be something to remember for the kids.

We are heading to a Chinese New Year celebration tonight. My DD9 is facinated with all things Chinese and I work with a couple of the organizers of the event, so getting tickets was easy.

No, we are not Chinese, but I love all festive traditions, so off we go. The only drag is the fact it is formal and with the snow and ice, I really don't feel like pulling on a dress....

Keep well everyone.

I didn't want to say anything sooner so as not to "jinx" our planning ..... but we are now officially booked in a 2 BR @ SSR for December 28 - January 2!!!

This will be our first experience with the world that time of year! In all our trips, we've never seen the Christmas decorations ... parades, candlelight processional, etc. I am sooooo excited!!! :yay:

We are hoping/planning to take my parents with us. They haven't been to Disney since I was 3 yrs old (33 yrs ago!) and of course then it was just the MK. We have been trying to get them to go with us for a while, but I think they've finally agreed. They don't consider themselves "theme park people" - but I think they have decided it would be a fun family trip with all the grandkids! :grouphug:

Sooooo ........... I'm gonna need some serious help from my dis-girlfriends!!! This is a whole new planning event for us. We're desperately reading up on tips, strategies, etc. for the BUSIEST week of the year at Disney!!! :surfweb:

Y'all know that we traditionally go the week of July 4th which we have been told repeatedly by CMs is the 2nd busiest week of the year ..... how much worse is the Christmas to New Year's week??? :confused3 We're hoping for the ability to use our same theme park touring strategies without the July heat!

Mouseaddicts: Our trip at Christmas was the best ever. It was so wonderful. I think the attitude you have to have is one of..."we've been here before and we'll be back again so if we miss something due to the crowds, it will be okay". We still saw and did everything we wanted to even during this time.

The shows at MK were awesome so try to see them all. The Night Before Christmas show by Buzz, the parades, the Castle shows...there were two when we were there, special Wishes and you'll be there for New Year's too. I know the new Castle light show was very good too and I would think they would have that again.

Candlelight at Epcot was outstanding. I would get the package because it was packed when we were there unless you just want to sit and listen to the music. The tree lighting was very cute and very busy. The light bridge (whatever they call it with the dancing lights) was very cool. We enjoyed the Santas in the countries. Hitting all of those is hard to do though.

MGM...the parade and the lights are awesome and the parade at AK is really good too.

You will have a wonderful time.

It is busier than in the summer though;) but it doesn't seem so bad because it's not so HOT! The difference is that it's like the 3rd and 4th at MK after the special fireworks, but it's like that ALL DAY long.

For example, AK...by 10:30 all the fast passes were gone in the entire park and lines were at least 2 hours even for Bug's Life. Epcot on the 27th was wall to wall people even in the countries and it was the only park that wasn't in some form of clousure.

Like I said though...it was our best trip. We had an amazing time.

I know you don't want to hear this either, but! You have to get up early:goodvibes Watch the hours...all the parks open early.

I'm back in the running again for worst weather...
the blizzard warnings last week...that weren't, but we got hit again over the weekend....Saturday 3 inches of snow and Sunday another two inches and now we have a delay due to freezing rain. Not sure what's going to happen with this. There's thunder going on right now. It wasn't a great weekend that's for sure with the weather. YUCK.

The stove is toast and couldn't cook toast. Not sure when the new one will arrive due to THE WEATHER:confused3

oh well...at least we're going to DISNEY THIS SUMMER!!!:goodvibes

EE22: When does the warm weather come for you? March is when we start warming up around here but what we have is nothing compared to you.

Mouseaddicts::banana:    So happy for you. We would love to go around the holidays but our time off just does not work to support it. We can only go over the summer. You will have a wonderful time.

MKY: How did your ADR's go? I am going to work on it today. We have 2 weeks until "D" day.

Tomar: Glad you are feeling better.

Good morning everyone !:surfweb:
HOW `BOUT THEM GIANTS ?!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Well....I thank Goodness that I have my little Disney retreat to escape to in our house to do some planning ...especially last night.....when all the men in the Tomar family was going bezerk over the Giants winning the Super Bowl !!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
They are all happy campers this morning ...as is all of the Tri-State area where we live !!

EE22- so sorry that you guys are getting hit again with bad weather !! I can`t wait til the summer and I know you surely can`t more than any of us...hang in there.... !:flower3:

MKY- Hope all went well with calling for your ADR`S. :cutie:

TP2-Thank you...I do feel better :goodvibes ...How`s eveyone at the TP2 house doing....I hope you cloraxed all the germs out before they even had a chance ;) Wishing you Happy moments planning your Dinning choices !!!:wizard:

Mouseaddicts...Congrats on making ressies for Christmas. :goodvibes ...I would love to one day go at that time of the year:cloud9: ...but... Alas...it has just never come to pass...too much going on in the tomar house at that time of the year....but......Mabe someday !

Today is the 3rd day of my summer vacation.

NO SCHOOL. I HATE SNOW DAYS AND I HATE THE GROUND HOG!!!

EE22: When does the warm weather come for you? March is when we start warming up around here but what we have is nothing compared to you.

I'm thinking never:confused3 last year in track season which is April we had several meets called off due to the cold or ended early. Consistent warm weather isn't till probably late April/early May. The weather here really is horrible. It's Florida hot in the summer and winter....I have words I can't post here for the winter.

The last couple were mild.

It's SO DIRTY!! brown slush...yuck:rolleyes:

MKY...what ADRs did you go with???

WHY?????

There is now a winter storm watch posted for Tuesday into Wednesday. 6-10 inches of snow. :sad2: :sad2:

Whoever ticked off Mother Nature needs to be nice now!!!

Try to remember that it will be blistering hot in about six months and everyone will be complaining about the heat. :rotfl:

It is 36 degrees and raining here. It will probably flood due to the ice covering the ground...

But I am off to Disney in only 31 days :goodvibes

Hiya everyone,

We got 5" last nite in 2 hours. Today it was 40 out and supposed to rain. This is the weirdiest winter.

Adr's are 1/2 done. All the important ones. Got the Castle for dinner. They told me 2 times that max would be charged adult prices. It is interesting that the "have" to do the speal with each adr. "There is no smoking in the resturant, you will need park admission. Arrive 5 minutes early to check into the podium."....... I told here she didn't have to but she insisted. I called right at 6am on sat. and it took 1/2 hr to book the castle and my fantasmic pkg. Then it took another 15 minutes for the rest of the week.
We booked, tony's, liberty tree tavern, chef mickeys, garden view tea, gf cafe, Cape may buffet, marakesh, toyko dining, & teppan, sci fi, primetime 50's, Mama melrose, corral reef, & garden grille.:scared1: Yikees that is alot of eating. (and alot of $$$):confused3

Mouseaddict's, Congrat's on your trip at christmas. We went early Dec this year and it was wonderful. The decorations are wonderful. Make sure you hop to all the resorts and check them out. Don't skip BW, we thought they had the best lobby.

Candi, You are getting down to a month:dance3:

TP2 & Tomar, Congrat's if your both Giants fans. What an upset.:cheer2: The Bears need alot of work before next season.:sad2:

Did anyone hear that united is going to charge for a SECOND bag to check? 25.00! Made the news here tonight.

Happy Planning, mky:cutie:

mky:cutie: that storm missed us and hit Iowa City 40 miles south of here. They had 8 inches yesterday and it came down so fast my friend almost got stuck at the grocery store. She couldn't believe it. She was in there for about an hour and it was a blizzard outside. It was nasty here, but not that bad. We are suppose to get slammed again tomorrow. They have been right all winter...I hope they are wrong this time. They did miss the blizzard last week though.

You made great ADRs...we have many of the same. Yes...big bucks!!

We have to pay for our first bag  $10 so that added $40 both ways for our tickets. Still the cheapest way to go though. I think I can get us there with 3 suitcases and the bath stuff, but I really wonder. I guess they are hitting the vacationers rather than business travel with that one.

Congrats on the ADRs. I hope you don't get our weather Tuesday.

I am not sure I'll get my new stove now with the bad weather.:confused3

Hiya ee22!

wow, they charge for 1 bag. At united it will be 25.00 for second bag but if you over pack 1 more than 50# > you wind up paying 75.00.:confused3 I will pay for the second.
Yes, it was the same storm. No snow when super bowl started > when it was over it was all done.

Hope the next one missess all of us.;)
