Hi everyone. Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween. It was busy here. We had wonderful weather and with the extra hour of daylight made for a very busy holiday. I had to refill our bowl 4 times. I gave out the kids candy from trick or treating and goodie bags because I ran out. It is crazy how many kids were out this year. It definately made for a fun holiday. The girls were dressed like dracula, Hannah Montana, and a flower. They all picked their own costumes. Funny but not princesses.

I was talking to a neighbor last night that has a son with severe asthma. She said the same thing about the heat. He gets worse in the winter with cold air. I guess I assumed that the heat would be bad because DD8 was so bad in heat when she got pnemonia. They actually told us to keep her out of the heat. I guess asthma and pnemonia are different. I just assumed that they both affected the lungs so they would have similar triggers. Glad I was wrong. I would much rather be in summer weather than winter.

Tomar: So glad to hear that you are feeling better. Continue to take care of yourself and maybe give Candi'z idea a chance. Could not hurt.

MKY: 20 days for you. So exciting.

EE22: I can't believe that you are getting ready to make ADR's. Your trip is getting close so quickly. It will be nice to go back and see some changes. Makes the trip more exciting.

Candi: Good luck with your mom. Seems like never a dull moment around here. I guess we all need our Disney fix to keep us going.

Hi Gang !!! Happy November !
One more month closer to our July trip...and 19 more days for MKY !!WHOO HOO
TP2- We had a hectic Halloween as well...I made 120 trick or treat bags....AND they were alll gone at 5:30 ....
The girls must have looked soooo cute as.. HM...Drac...and a flower LOL
Never worry about taking a trip to the world in the summer with DD...I am living proof that you feel better with Asthma in the summer !!

Candi- thank you for your suggestion of a house cleaner....I do prefer to do it my self though. (I know...Im crazy )..but it gives me alot of excercise....and....Mr. Tomar is a great help to me !! I hope and pray that your mom`s surgery is successful and her recovery is quick !
EE22- How`s the eye?....I hope your feeling better as well !!!

Well it sounds like the gang is on the mend.

We had a lot of kids this year but nothing like the rest of you had.

It must have been the nice weather.

I hope we have nice weather on the weekend and I will get DH to put up the Christmas lights. We will put them up now but we don't turn them on until the beginning of December.

just checking in.

Candi, that is a good idea. I was planning to take down the halloween stuff tommorrow, and we need to put my xmas stuff up early. I think I will just pull it down. This year just putting out my big mickey and minnie with wreath. Instead of alot of other lights. Since we will be gone for so long. Not sure if I want the tree up before we leave. My old people might like it up. I know I would rather do it before the trip than after. Laudry alone after our trip is terrible.

Well we are full bloom in color around here. Lots of leaves falling. This should be a nice weekend. I got cancelled today, only 2 sick kids total. Wow that is slow, for this time of year. Hope the weekend stays slow.

hiya everyone!

Had my second shot today. But he says we are going the right way. My ortho md is a big wdw fan too. He will be at Poly when we are there. I told him to bring a shot. (he takes care of sis's knee too). Anyway, he said if it starts wearing off before we go to call and he will fit me in for another shot. He is too sweet. (and a great md). So I feel a bit of a relief. I was not sure how often he could do it. But he is very happy with how things are going.

18 days WoW i cannot belief we are this close. There is so much to do. And I am sitting here with laptop on my bed with my foot up iced. Gives me a good excuse to play pogo.com and not do anything. I am using a VAC day tommorrow to stay off my foot for the shot. We are still slow at work.

I just read, that space ship earth will not open till feb now. And the tix for the kelly and regis taping of the parade sold out in 6hrs.

Tomar, eat your bananas.
TP2, push fluids. Great for any chest congestion. Watch out for burning leaves. That really affects my asthma. I agree, that the summer is better for my asthma (and sis) But any cold can set it off & and asthma attack can set off cold, sinus problems, pneumonia, etc.. . I have a problem during seasons changing. Blooming springs, ragweed august, furnaces now, and those outdoor fire pits some woods really bother us.
EE22, trust me do the shot. It is 40 seconds of incredible pain till the lidocaine kicks. Then your foot will feel 20 years younger (before teaching).
Candi, hope your mom is doing ok. I think halloween was so crowded here was definately the time change.

Hi Guys !
checking in to see how everyone is doing these past couple of days !
MKY...I can`t believe your almost in the World again !!! How wonderful! Im so excited for you !!

Mr. Tomar and I have been trying to pick up all my medical records from the hospital this week to take to the Cardiac specialist on wed...what a task ....First they gave me the abstract...then the stress test was missing so we had to go back....now the Discharge summary is missing...and the Dr. Didn`t do it yet....FHEW. ....this is starting to be alittle daunting ....to say the least
The Cat scan showed that my pulmonary artery is prominant but no embolism (thank goodness)...but... the suspected DX is PAH.(Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension)...Im praying not...Ive been reading about it and it doesn`t sound like a fun desease ....but what is the difference....COPD or PAH....either one is gunna be a condition I`ll have to live with I guess

MKY - PLEEEEEASE tell me that it doesn`t SNOW !

EE22- Hope your eye is all better now !!

TP2- How is DD doing this week with the asthma ?....I hope that she hasn`t gotten any symptoms !

Tomar - I hope all goes well at the DR.

My mom is doing okay. She seems to be worrying about the surgery but she is feeling okay. The minister (we are United Church members) asked if she wanted her (yes we have a female minister) to the hospital. So I had to make a wise crack about that being a "safe bet".

Good thing the woman has a sense of humor. She is great though and very supportive. We have a very aging congregation and she has done this too many times but it would be nice to have her there. Even my dad went to church on Sunday and we advised the minister to stay aside a bit in case the lightning strike took her out too.

Did anyone get the holiday decorations up this weekend? I am afraid Nascar was on so ours are not up and it is darn cold today.

Tomar, Well you got me on that one. You probably know more about your condition than me. That is not a condition in pediatric's. But can help for test questions. & support. Hope things are settling down. Mr. Tomar sounds like a really good egg.

Candi, No, i did not do the decorations yet. Tried to stay off the foot this weekend. Your a nascar fan? We live at the home of "chicagoland speedway". It is a nascar track in Joliet (here). There is actually 3 tracks. A large track, smaller one & a dragster track. Have never been to a race yet. But the town fills up, during race days. We have had the airforce fly overs for races & the blimp is here regularly. Have you ever come down here for a race? We are located about 30 miles south of chicago. Right on I80.

Hi Everyone. I have not been getting any update notices again. It took awhile to catch up.

EE22: So sorry I missed your birthday. Happy belated! How is your mom?

MKY: So happy to hear that you got another shot. Sounds like it is working.

Tomar: Good luck with all of your appointments. Hope you get some good results.

So last night DH asked if I have a trip in February up my sleeve. Can you believe that? I told him that I don't but it would not be a problem for me to get one there. I think he asks about it more now than I do. Maybe a trip is in the horizon for us.

DD3 has been wonderful. She has not shown any symptoms but I am not sure if that is the pulmacort kicking in.

MKY- I got the Mickey Monitor....the Castle looks Gorgeous ! It looks like all lighted Ice cycles are falling in such a precise way !!

Hi All...

MKY...Gobble Gobble day is even closer now.

My mom is healing and coming along TP2. She is moved to another rehab center, but isn't happy as she's 3 hours from her home town and she doesn't know anyone there She sounded really down when I talked with her on the phone last weekend.
