Tomar: Did you see the news that Long Island got a tornado yesterday? That is so scary because we have NEVER had a tornado here. It was on the south shore so it makes sense because they take the bulk of the weather but still, I always thought that was an inland thing. Well I hope all your ironing is done. 4 hours without power is way too long, especially when you don't know when it will come back up again. The last time we lost power for any length was during the huge blackout a couple of years back. I think it was like 5 years ago now. It came so close to 9/11 that we were all so scared on top of it.

On to better things...5 MORE DAYS...:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

VMK Chloe: Good luck with your tests today. I really do understand how stressful this all is. Like I said, I went through it with my best friend and sister inlaw. My best friend had twins and 3 months later found out she was expecting another.:scared1: The doctors know so much now, I am sure everything will be fine.

Eeyorelover- did you have to have any help or were you able to do it on your own? It's really good to know that you were able to have children with it. I know lots of women do. But it always helps to hear that it's possible!

The diabetes test I had to do was a fasting one, is that what you’re having done? I was use to it as it’s the one like they give you when you’re pregnant.

I never had to take anything to have my kids, but I was diagnosed at 16 and was treated until I had my kids at 27. I don’t know if that made a difference or not…I suppose it did. They told me at 16 that I wouldn’t have children.

It was not easy for me to get pregnant though. It took several months for both. It was of course less of a mind game with DD as I already knew I could get pregnant.

I did the temperature method each morning…every morning at the same time. It doesn’t seem like much, but it really was a drag…setting the alarm at 5 am on Sat and Sun was a pain. I was very irregular so never knew when I would ovulate which was the issue. I can’t remember what the norm is, but I was not in the normal range.

I had MAJOR issues after DS was born and I’ve been on progesterone (except for when trying to have DD) ever since. I know what you mean about the mood swings. And, actually, yesterday, the doc is lowering my dosage so it should be a thrill. I guess I’m glad I have a few weeks to adjust before school starts.

I had come to terms with the fact that I might not have children and had started working on my PhD. I registed for my first class in Jan...I had just finished my Master's in August and took a semester off. The next day I did a progestrone test and I was pregnant. I then made the decision to stay in teaching because of the hours and summers off to be with the kids.

After driving to Iowa City yesterday, God works in mysterious ways! The traffic now from here to there is HORRIBLE. That's where I would have worked had I finished my PhD.

Keep the Faith.

Next week I will need you all. DS is going to football camp. I don't think I'm gonna live through it. He's never been gone from home. And football camp:eek: I just hate football.

Thank you so much! It is really helpful to read stories like this.. and the others that have shared! God definitely does work in mysterious ways! I've never doubted that he wouldgive me a child one day, I just decided that I probably have to have a little help and I believe that's ok!

Well, the appointment went well.. DH did a semen analasys today (ran into someone from church while dropping it off, lol) needless to say, he was embarassed. The lady who did my blood test today was nice.. but not nearly as gentle as the one last week.. my arm is extremely sore. But it's worth it, if it all works! But, they said I should have the results tomorrow, or at the latest Monday.. but I'll let you all know what happens.

Thanks for being so supportive! I never thought when I joined the Dis Boards that I'd be talking about this with anyone on here! But it's been great to have all of the support!

oh, and yes.. it was the insulin resistance test.. which I would assume is also the diabetes test?? That's what I had to fast for.. they also did a progesterone test and something else was on the list.. but I can't remember.

Sounds like many of the tests I had.

Word to the wise as you can tell from TP2 post about being pregnant 3 months later...once you figure out the trick be VERY careful or you'll have little ones one after another. It happened to a lady I work with...she had twins and the bam...another one right away as they weren't being careful. OOPS!

Yeah, the fact that I may end up taking clomid.. increases my chances of having twins.. my dr. said they've even seen quads in their office come from it! lol NOOOO!! I could handle twins.. but that's the most! Plus my grandmother was a twin.. so it's also hereditary.. and it didn't happen with her kids or her grandkids.. so..... hmmm. I could end up with twins!

but, since I don't ovulate.. i wouldn't have that issue.. cause I have to ovulate to get pregnant.. so in order to get pregnant I will have to take meds again.. most likely.,

You are CRACKING ME UP on that one! He's like 15, right???

I think I told y'all, but I'm not sure ...... BOTH kids (DD10 & DS7) went away to summer camp this year for a whole week .... in Rolla, MO!!! I was a basket case ...... but you know what? They were FINE! Didn't send me one single email the whole time! They were having too much fun!!!

Did I mention that my DD had her b-day AT camp? Yep - she made the choice that she wanted to be at summer campt to celebrate her 10th b-day, so I didn't see OR talk to her that day!!!

If I can do that .... you can send your DS to football camp! ;)

(btw .... I  football!)

VMK- Glad that the appt. went well :goodvibes Keeping our fingers crossed for DH`s test to do the same !!!:woohoo:

EE- I am feeling your pain....I was one of the "Follow the Class" Moms...just to be near the boys !!:hippie: LOL

Mouseaddicts- I keep looking at your MK View from CR...and thinking that in a short while I`ll be seeing it in person !!

TP- What a Mess in the City yesterday :scared1: ...It took my DDIL 3 hours to get home from 38th street ! ...Thank goodness she wasn`t near the disaster.....when I saw it on TV....I got the chills....it reminded me of 9/11 tooooo much:sad2:

MKY- Tomorrow`s your test also.....much pixiedust for you...that it comes out well !!pixiedust: pixiedust:

Y'all are counting on one hand now!!! How exciting!!!

EE - What are you planning to book? I'm sure you already know! How many pts did y'all buy (if you don't mind me asking). Have you closed yet? And, oh yeah, I need your address ........ :rotfl:

VMKChloe - I am wishing you all the best with everything!!! :grouphug:

tests came back good! Insulin and glucose were normal.. they don't think it's PCOS now. Plus the progesterone test, showed that I did ovulate this cycle.. so.. he put me on provera.. and then we will test again next month.. and if nothing happens.. then we will probably move on to clomid!

No results on DH yet.

No, he's not 15...he's nearly 16:rotfl:
I know he'll be fine...it's me having the breakdown.

I don't like football because it's brutal on the players. Otherwise, I don't care. I don't want him hurt.

After practice today he was all excited about his helmet.
It must be a guy thing!!!:confused3

Okay...really confused on the provera...that's what I take and it stops everything and can be used for birth control. Why did he put you on that?:confused3

Mouseaddicts: We are booking a 1br. We bought 160 points.
Why do you want my address? or was that really just a funny...my brain isn't working so well today. Haven't closed yet, but we can book still.

What happened in NYC? my buddy in CT said there was an explosion. I don't watch the news because it's so depressing. So...I'm clueless. When Reagan passed away, I didn't know for nearly 2 days:eek:

Hiya everyone!:wave2: Off the computer and I am backed up 3 pages. Took a while to get caught up. popcorn::

Had my test tonight, and waiting for result. Might here something early? Hoping too. Hopefully, it is no big deal and not what they think? Fingers crossed, Hmmmmm, maybe i stepped on a rock wrong and i am a woose? And we worried for nothing.:confused3 Thanks for all the wishes.

Wow Tomar, your down to 3:dance3: Yeah! Now is the sprint, to finish everything!:laundy:

EE22, Practice your speed dialing. Now will this be like first thing in the morning call (ap release dates) Or is it less stressful? I would think July is a busy month and that it might be hard to get dates? 2 Days!:eeyore: :eeyore: :eeyore:

princess: Chloe, Hang in there. It is alot of work. I haven't said much but Had a bad case of endometrios and a hyster 4 years ago. So no kids for me. Guess the not getting married thing turned out to be an ok idea? Gyne issues are alot to go through, mentally, physically, and very expensive. Stay positive. I never thought, I had a problem but: one of my bf's had a tumor on pituitary and never ovulates. Was told could not get preg. for anything, but did the drugs and I believe it was the clomid > now has 3 kids all healthy. So I think it is a good idea, to try anything. And definately worth mouseaddict's idea = Store bought. Just hand in there and keep riding those wild hormones.:scared1:

Had a very bad week at work. Just want to say, buy your kids a bike helmet and make them wear it. Trust me.

TP2 & Mouseaddict's, We are getting closer to our next trips. I got our ap vouchures renewel's in the mail today. I am down to 26 days today.

Well ee22 and I are sending some very beauitful weather east now. Sunny, clear, and only 80! No humidity today. Have a great weekend, and everyone get busy.;)

mky:cutie:

Mky, I hope your news is good. I'll be thinking Happy Thoughts for you!!

We always made the kiddies wear helmets...I even took them to Michigan when we went and they rode the big wheels down my mom's longggg driveway!!
