MKY: Ever hear of these shoes? Dansko
My Disney buddy suggested them for teaching. She had ankle issues last year and her doc suggested them.

I have a healed stress fracture in my foot. Not as bad as your situation, but he gave me some inserts for my shoes. We'll see if they work. My joint is rubbing wrong on my foot too which is what is causing the pain and swelling. I told my buddy and she suggested that I wear better shoes as I'm on my feet all the time. Her doc said teachers don't take care of their feet and my obgyn just told me they don't take care of their bladders either....and nurses!

The foot doc today mentioned surgery and it would be 8 weeks to get into a tennis shoe. I thought of you. I'm thinking HAPPY THOUGHTS for you for Friday. Major Pixie Dust and Prayers.

Tomar, you are with in hours. :wizard:  Have a great time!

EE22, no I have never heard of them, but I will google it.;) Congrat's on your phone call! Was it your idea to do it daily, or did they suggest that? Was it easier than the regular cro or about the same?

TP2, Thanks, you make alot of sense. And I thought the same thing, but then today, at work it really was not as bad as last week, after being off for a day at work, and getting back to work. Not sure what tommorrow will bring but just when I was about to throw in the towel, it was managable.

I did get my mri report, from records today (pays to be a nurse sometimes) unfortunately, we dont study feet much, and i've been in pediatric's for 27 yr 's so, not current at all on these issues. Does not sound too bad: a lot of damage type stuff, and a growth (tumor / beign) that occurs when you have a chronic plantar fasciaitis. So feel better reading this, but not sure if they can do anything other than wait it out to heal. We will see on friday.

Have a great week everyone! Tomar's have the best time! & wishes for great weather, low crowds, & a great view.:wizard:

EE2, I hope i get better news on friday. ;) We make a matched pair. Hope your feet are better soon too. I am continuely to do my foot exercises, ice, elevation, and rest it as much as possible. Hang in there.

mky:cutie:

Hi Guys !!!!:goodvibes
Well....the time has come for me to shut down the computer after checking and rechecking all that Mr.Tomar thinks he`s left undone (but really was done days ago !!!;) HeeHee) Im sooo glad that at least I got to hear that your foot issues MKY are not as bad as you thought (although some of the things your mentioning would make MY head spin....LOL....but your the nurse....so you know better :thumbsup2

By the time I get back....MKY and TP will be almost out the door :yay:
And .....
EE will have the most wonderful DVC trip ressies in her hands already :cloud9:
I wish you all a pleasant next 2 weeks.....and I promise pictures when I get back !!:goodvibes
So for now I`ll say "Chao"...as we are leaving in the early AM !!!!!:wave2:

I am not in nearly the state you are in with your feet. At this point, mine is an annoyance, but I figure I should take care of it if I can before it gets worse. I thought it was better but with all the walking on my treadmill this summer, I know now that it's not. I never thought to ice mine. DUH!!

I am calling day by day after reading up on DVC on a few boards and since AKV isn't finished I didn't know how hard it would be to get rooms. It would drive me mad to wait to the end of the vacation to book like most people due except during busy times.

I got through right away this morning and Mondays are suppose to be very busy. It's just different from CRO. It was easy. I was confused about a few things, but Tomar walked me through. I wasn't sure what to ask for, etc.

Bye Tomar! Have a great trip. I will be thinking of you over the next 2 weeks. When you get home I will be packing up all our stuff and getting ready to walk out of the door. Can't wait to see pictures. I know you will have a wonderful time.:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

MKY: Glad to hear that the pain was a bit better this week and the films don't look as bad as you thought. You will probably be fine if you get that ECV and keep it in mind that you will relax as much as possible. I am sure at this point you don't do the parks commando anyway so you should be fine.

EE22: Did you get the next day of your trip? I don't really understand why you have to book that way but I hope you get what you need.

I did get another day today:thumbsup2
I don't know if I have to book this way, but I didn't want to take any chances. There are 134 villas at Jambo House. Once the new building is finished in 2009, I shouldn't have to do this. No one could tell me how difficult they thought it would be since it's so new.

I am too type A to sit and wait too;)

Normally, you would call 11 months from your check OUT date and book the entire thing. That's what Tomar does and it's one call.

I didn't want to take any chances.

They don't have any cash nights available yet for our first night so I will have to keep checking back on that one.

That took me a bit to understand with our points. For us, we bought the min # of points since eventually DH and I will only need a studio, but with the kids we will need a 1 BR, but if I don't do one night cash, we will be out of points by 2009 because the weekends are so many points. So, I have to do one night cash for our trip in 2008. My guide suggested not buying more points for the few years we would need extra due to the annual dues being paid on points we may not use. When the kids are gone and that's not that far off:sad1: we will need a 1BR but after that we won't. So, we went with the 160 to start.

MKY: I did some research on Dansko shoes...the best kind...first hand knowledge. I went to Von Maur here which is an upper end department store if you don't know them as they carry the shoes. The manager of the shoe department use to be the manager of the DS here before it closed. So, I knew she would know something. I ran into another lady I know from the store...she always calls me when pink stuff is on sale:rotfl: and I told her my foot issue. She had major foot surgery last year and wears Dansko or Born shoes. I know Born. She also said that the shoe department manager also only wears Dansko.

So, I invested in a pair. Invested is the right word too as they are expensive.

My only problem will be that until sandal weather is over I will have problems with my clothes for work. She's bringing in a pair of sandals, but I wasn't wild about them so I'm searching the net for some cuter ones.:surfweb:

Hiya everyone!:wave2: Off the computer and I am backed up 3 pages. Took a while to get caught up. popcorn::

Had my test tonight, and waiting for result. Might here something early? Hoping too. Hopefully, it is no big deal and not what they think? Fingers crossed, Hmmmmm, maybe i stepped on a rock wrong and i am a woose? And we worried for nothing.:confused3 Thanks for all the wishes.

Wow Tomar, your down to 3:dance3: Yeah! Now is the sprint, to finish everything!:laundy:

EE22, Practice your speed dialing. Now will this be like first thing in the morning call (ap release dates) Or is it less stressful? I would think July is a busy month and that it might be hard to get dates? 2 Days!:eeyore: :eeyore: :eeyore:

princess: Chloe, Hang in there. It is alot of work. I haven't said much but Had a bad case of endometrios and a hyster 4 years ago. So no kids for me. Guess the not getting married thing turned out to be an ok idea? Gyne issues are alot to go through, mentally, physically, and very expensive. Stay positive. I never thought, I had a problem but: one of my bf's had a tumor on pituitary and never ovulates. Was told could not get preg. for anything, but did the drugs and I believe it was the clomid > now has 3 kids all healthy. So I think it is a good idea, to try anything. And definately worth mouseaddict's idea = Store bought. Just hand in there and keep riding those wild hormones.:scared1:

Had a very bad week at work. Just want to say, buy your kids a bike helmet and make them wear it. Trust me.

TP2 & Mouseaddict's, We are getting closer to our next trips. I got our ap vouchures renewel's in the mail today. I am down to 26 days today.

Well ee22 and I are sending some very beauitful weather east now. Sunny, clear, and only 80! No humidity today. Have a great weekend, and everyone get busy.;)

mky:cutie:

Thanks! We test on Saturday to see if it happened this month.. if not then Istart provera to kick start my cycle.. and then test progesterone again on day 21.. then if it doesn't work next month, then on to clomid.

:cool1: I added another day to our reservation:cool1:

Today I take DS to "Legalized Violence" Camp. It's so different from daycare days..."play nice with the other kids." Now it's..."kill or be killed". Not literally of course, but no offense to the other football moms in the world...better their linemen then mine:scared1: Packing for camp was like packing for the World. I can't believe how much stuff he has to take.

I can hardly wait for the 5 hours of driving through the corn.

MKY: I'm going to check out the sandals my buddy suggested...Chaco...on the way home. Still thinking happy thoughts about your test results.

You too Chloe!

Hi guys! It's been crazy-busy here with work & stuff ..... I think I've read all the pages ..........

EE22 - YES, I really need your address ..... just PM me ..... how many days have you booked now? It's funny to me that you're doing it a day @ a time. You won't have to check out & back in every day, will you??? You're booking a 1BR? What are your dates?

Chloe - My best prayers & thoughts to you!!! Keep us posted!

I didn't get to say bye-bye to Tomar :sad2: Guess I'll have to wait & say "Welcome Home!" ..... but it'll be a different one than the one she gets to hear this week!

MKY --- GUESS WHAT!?!? I'll be in Chicago Sun-Tues ...... Yes, THIS Sunday! :woohoo: Cool, huh? I'm coming for work, but I've got an early flight booked for Sunday to get me into downtown ...... have to go to the Magnificent Mile & the American Girl store for my DD10!

TP2 - What are your dates this year??? I think we'll just miss you when we go back for P&P. We're just doing a long weekend for that trip.

Mouseaddicts: I thought of you today when I dropped off DS. He called and all the upperclassmen ate all the good food off the buffet. You should never steal food from a teenage boy. He got a great roommate which is good. DD goes next week, but DH is helping with the driving so he will be there with her. It will be very quiet here.

I have 3 days booked now. I'm a spaz and that's why I am booking a day at a time. I just didn't know how difficult it would be to get a ressie since all of AKV won't be done. It's all one ressie and they hold the number till I'm all done. No one on any of the boards could really say for sure how hard it would be to reserve a room so I did it this way.

We are booking a 1BR, yes. DS is very excited about it. We were talking on the way through THE CORN today. June 21-28 are the dates. 332 days:rotfl:

The Trip to Camp: left at 10 am and back at 6 pm. THE CORN! and THE SOYBEANS!! fields and fields and fields of it. Not that any of you were thinking about it, but I wouldn't make a special trip to Pella, IA. Maybe if you were heading this way...yes, but otherwise...no. There was a detour too which took us through more corn, more soybeans, more cows and more sheep. First time I have seen sheep. Now, that's exciting. Very hilly and winding roads...so steep and with tight turns they goove the payment so you know it's coming. They do that in Iowa before 4 way stops...it makes that loud noise when you drive over it. The one was nasty...it sort of went off a mini cliff into THE CORN!

Can't hardly wait to do it all again on Friday!!!

EE22: Not only did you get to drive all day but you also got to leave your son behind. DH and I were talking about that during the 8 hour drive to Niagara Falls. We were talking about how the ride could be worse and we could be making the trip to drop one of the kids off at college. That would be torture for us too.:grouphug: Did not know you had all the foot problems. You poor thing, between your foot and your allergies.:sad2:

Mousesaddicts: We are going from the 20th to 29th. Which date did you pick for P&P? We are going on the 24th. I was thinking of also going on the 21st but I am considering adding a park day instead. I am still unsure which way to go. I guess it would be a question for MKY if going twice in one week would be too much.

MKY: Almost Friday. I have you in the back of my mind all the time. Hope all goes well with the doctor.

What do you think of 2 days of P&P? Too much? It is either 3 park days and 2 P&P days or 4 park days and 1 P&P. It will actually be $75 cheaper to do P&P twice instead of adding to our current one day MYW tickets. Only bright side is we will still have 2 one day MYW tickets left from this year to apply to a future trip so I guess the savings is really more in the long run to upgrade the MYW tickets. Did I confuse you yet? :headache: Because I am confused.

EE22 --- you kill me with this camp stuff. Is this the 1st time they've ever been away? Both of mine were gone from me for like 11 days .... full 7 with no phone!!!

TP2 --- Yep, we're going to just miss ya! I think we get down there on like the 30th or 31st :confused3 We're doing P&P on the 31st ..... well, hopefully we are - we haven't bought our tix yet. Guess I need to do that ....

TP2: I think I understood the ticket question;) but, I've never been to a party so I can't answer that one. My friend goes to the P&P on the 11th. MKY is the expert on parties though:cutie: I am not looking forward to dropping the kids off at college. :scared1:

Mouseaddits: Yes, first time away from home. I think if it were a different camp I wouldn't have been such a spaz. Have you ever been around 300 high school football players? :scared1: I also say all the time that I am a victim of too much information. I know way too much about those boys that are in his dorm:rolleyes: And, two of the coaches that are there are former students and I know way too much about them from high school too.

It's football. I really wish he didn't play. I don't want to go through knee surgery or shoulder surgery. He has too much to lose for track and throwing for that to happen. I am also very worried they will move him up to varsity football and I don't want that at all. He's playing with them at camp:guilty: A sophomore player has a different mind set from a senior. They really believe that "kill or be killed" attitude. And, one of our players was seriously injured last year with a nasty late call when we was spiked with a helmet and had a severe head injury...memory loss and was lucky he wasn't killed. He was out of school for a couple of weeks. I don't like football.

Don't even get me started that he gets his license next month:scared1: :scared1:

EE22: I can understand the football thing. Sports can be scary. DD8 plays soccer and got a ball in the face on year. Total accident and it is not a contact sport and I wanted her to stop playing. DH thought I was nuts but I just felt so lucky that it was not worse and next time it could be. I generally don't go to games anymore because I just cringe over the boys and girls playing together. I think it is time for her to be in a girl only league. The boys are much rougher now and they elbow and such.

Glad you got my ticket question. I thought MKY may be the only one out there that has been to several parties on the same trip. Wonder how she is doing.

Mouseaddicts: We had flight vouchers that expire on the 30th of August so we have to be home by then. It is great though. The vouchers were worth $500 and our flight for all 5 of us came to $694. We got direct flights each way too. Only thing is we are coming home on the 29th instead of 30th because the flight was so much more expensive on the 30th. Would have been over $800 for one way. Crazy money for the difference of one day. Ended up adding a day at the beginning of our trip. Sorry we will miss you. As for the P&P tickets, we bought ours on the first day they came out at 7:00am because I thought that they would sell out. Well, all days are still available and some dates are on sale with an annual pass now. I guess that is a good thing because crowds may be low so I won't complain.
