Hi Ladies ! :goodvibes
Hope everyone had a good weekend !...We`re almost at the "Labor Day" one comeing up....Seems like yesterday we were all getting ready for our trips...
and now the summer is fading fast :sad1:

MKY- I feel your foot pain these days....I think I pulled a tendon in my right leg...:scared:
I have to call the Ortho Doc today also for an appt.
My crocs seem to be helping though ...and alot of iceing in between !
Pixie dust for good news on YOUR foot when yu see the Doc pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

EE22- I heard about the Point price for the Bay Lake Tower also ....YIKES !:scared1: ...I hope the pricing comes down to earth in the board room.... before the Announcement that it is going on sale...alot of folks are waiting anxiously :flower3:

Hiya everyone! :wave2:

*** NEWS FLASH *** Mky makes a decision! Calling it: Decision 09';)

Changed March ressies tonight: Scored a AAA rate at CR for garden wing / garden view. That shaved 1000.00 off the gv Poly.:wizard: :thumbsup2 Interesting that it is that much cheaper than poly. The CR std view (parking lot) was not available but that would of been cheaper still. The tower was only available in concerige. :rolleyes1 Don't need to go that far.
The CR was not available when I called from florida when the aaa rates came out.:dance3: But I saw it on the aaa website last nite but it was too late to call.

Then we picked out dates, we are skipping summer heat: for October, the first 2 weeks. We should hit the MNSSHP's and the sept rehabs should be done, > not sure but would like to miss F&W fest. Not a big fan of F&W. Seemed like a lot of party / drinking for the younger set, a alot to crowded at epcot. :sad2: I enjoy epcot, when its empty, and quiet. :wizard: Hard to find at wdw. So I checked aaa rates for oct. and scored CR tower mkv, it is a better "season" so we are splurging for this trip. Not alot more than the gv in high season, and still cheaper than poly gv in high season.:confused3 So we are driving at least for march and will see how that goes, and then make a decision for oct.

I feel relieved. But I will miss the summer planning, but will be here to cheer you guys on.:cheer2: :grouphug: :cheer2: So as not to feel left out.

This must be sooooooooooooo much easier when your dvc. Right now, I think I have to many choices. Would like a 1 br. villa somewhere, but we really like mk area > and think we prefer that. We drive to all other parks and like being on monorail. We don't have the dvc parking privilages for poly etc... . for mk acess.:sad2: > otherwise, I would be right on that.

Tomar, your right labor day is almost here. Any special plans? I get to work. popcorn:: But its my weekend off.:yay: Hope your leg heals soon. Rest! Elevate! Ice!

EE22, Stop! I am having flash backs to physic's class, junior year > with my special calculator.:scared1: akl> underground parking! wow. does wl have that?

Candi, hope you try out vero, cause we wanted to and you can test the water first.

Does anyone know the speed limit on 75 south?

Have a great monday! mky:cutie:

Glad you have your plans mky:cutie: that is exciting!

90 mph on 75 south:rotfl: not sure what the legal speed limit is.
I'm sure someone on the transportation board will know.

Hey everyone. Just got back from visiting some friends in the Adirondeck Mountains. Can't believe the summer is almost over. Time for a schedule though.

MKY: I am going to check out the Cont tomorrow for AAA rates in August. I checked out ASFamily Suites with AAA and they are $159 per night but I really don't want to stay at a value. Would love a monorail resort but afraid it won't happen. New rumor is free dining and discount at SSR or OKW. Not sure about a room for 5 though. That is what is killing us. Looked into an Epcot resort and that blew our budget too. Probably going to be POR.

EE22: Hope things are setteling down for you. You are almost done with your first full week.

Tomar: Can hardly believe it is Labor Day already. We were supposed to be in Disney until tomorrow. We would have been there for all of Fay. I guess things happen for a reason. No Spectro and Fay:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: So glad we cancelled.

Candi: Send me a PM with your e-mail for pictures.

Hope everyone enjoys there long weekend.

hiya everyone! :wave2:

Wow, TP2, you are lucky your vacation changed. We did the tropical storm once and it wasn't pretty. Interesting, but not pretty.;) Hope the cr is an option, or consider the wl or fw cabins? With your large family the cabins might be fun?

Tomar, hope your feeling better.:wizard: pixiedust: pixiedust: :wizard:

EE22, I think it is 90. Only in illinois is it 65 or 55.:rolleyes1

Mapquest is saying 18 hours from here to wdw, and uses indiana instead of illinois.

Candi, lots of buzz on the gm "employee discount" ads. some friends said they might go check it out.

Happy weekend, and I got labor day off now.:dance3: Not sure what to do with myself. :dance3:

mky:cutie:

MKY::wave: Looked into WL and because we are a party of 5 we need to stay in a deluxe room. I think it was $550 per night.:scared: Also looked into cabins but from everything I have read and heard we need a golf cart or car. The golf cart would be better and will run about $400 if we rent it off site. $50 per day if we rent onsite but I am hoping for a 2 week trip. I guess that is really the problem. I want the time and cannot afford to stay somewhere that I want for any length of time. I refuse to complain because obviously I am lucky to be able to go at all.;)

Hope everyone enjoys the long weekend. Back to school on Wednesday for us.

You will be starting school now too.:teacher: School is now work for me....very sad, but to survive, that's what it's going to have to be.

About discounts...I'm pulling for AKV in the discounts too because a 1BR would sleep 5:goodvibes

mky...I would bet the legal limit is 75. In Michigan when not in the city areas, I-75 is 75 mph. My friend is driving at Thanksgiving again to save the airfare.

Hey Gang !! :goodvibes
WEll....we are home from a short trip to the "Real Cape May ", NJ (2 days on the Beach was wonderful:beach: )....and.... it proved to be a good couple of days for my Footsie to get better !! ;)

Thank you for asking MKY :cutie: ...and I hope you are doing better with your foot as well !! :wizard: !!

TP2- I thought about the fact that you would have been in the world with "Fay" last week ...Yes...I believe things happen for a reason too ;)
Next summer will be soooooooooo wonderful for you !!! Im pulling for a GREAT code for your accommadations !!:yay: Im wishing also that the CBR Pirate rooms are gunna be a GO for you !:thumbsup2

EE22-Restpixiedust: ....Restpixiedust: ....Restpixiedust: ...Restpixiedust: .....Restpixiedust: ...that is my wish for you for this weekend !!!!!:flower3:

Happy Labor Day Weekend everyone !!!

TP2 - I sent you a PM with my email address.

MKY - I75 South is between 55-75 depending on the area you are in.

I am looking forward to trying Vero Beach as well. I will be more than happy to check it out for everyone. I will be missing the parks, but since we are going again in January, I am hoping I will have had enough time there to skip it in March.

Thanks for the hope that more will be buying cars due to the pricing. Things are getting really bad here in Windsor right now. We had to put another 6 people on lay off on Thursday and we took a four day weekend (Friday will be unpaid) to reduce the number of people we had to lay off.....:sad2:

So it has been a hard week for me at work. Though I don't make the decision, I supply the information that they use and I feel horrible.

If work picks up, I would love to be able to own at a DVC resort near the Magic Kingdom. I hope they come down to a decent price if they do have DVC rooms in the new resort. Otherwise, I will have to plan to jump on the phone at the seven month mark and book using the points I already own.

EE22 - thanks for the heads up on the calculator. I had a great one in College but it did not cost anywhere near what you are quoting. I loved math in school. I truely am a nerd you know.

Hi everyone :goodvibes

I was finally diagnosed and feel incredibly better :cool1:

Life is still really crazy. DF is still working but for how long who knows :confused3 Could be as little as a week or as long as 2 months so it's tough to know what to do. If he leaves before it shuts down he loses the severance pay and accumulated vacation :sad2:

My work is also nutso with the implementation of a new system  Trying to keep up with it all and the medical issues has been almost more than I can handle.

The medical issues are under control and I see the light at the end of the tunnelf or my work so it is getting better :dance3:

However, we had to cancel our Sept trip to WDW due to my work :sad1: I'm hoping to go for a short weekend in Nov/Dec time frame to use the bounceback offer:thumbsup2

I also want to plan a long weekend to southern Florida in late March (DS will have a day off school) so I'm looking at possibilities for that trip. If anyone has suggestions I'm all for it :goodvibes

Hope everyone is doing well and I hope to be around more :yay:

HAPPY LABOR DAY! :wave2:

Sounds like everyone is having a great weekend. It is 92 and sunny here today. What a way to end august.

Candi, Good luck with the auto biz. I thought it was getting rough. Guess I sold my suv, at the last second before it got this bad.

Tomar, Oh, to just drive to the beach like that. All we have is lake michigan and right now it is probably about 52 degrees. That is the coldest water you can find anywhere.

TP2, I hope you get a good rate on CR or poly. They easily sleep 5!!!!:yay: So that would be good. You get 2 sinks with CR, only 2 buildings at poly have 2 sinks. But Poly has more drawer space.:confused3 Both couch beds are very similar, and max said they were comfortable. (but he could not see the tv as clear, to angled). What about: a split stay? I hate moving and felt like a lose of time, > but it does feel like a whole new vacation when you do it. For a 2 week stay, it might work out.:confused3

EE22, i agree, REST! and get ready > they are coming.:teacher:

We are set with driving. If it is not tooooooooo bad, will drive in Oct. too. Just hope my foot holds out. It is my right foot. Will use the cruise control alot more probably. Foot gets stiff and then hurts more. I probably will be asking for another shot.:scared1: But it is worth it. Just to get back on track. Airfare is running 700.00 / each from here. That is nuts.

I saw pictures on the transport board of the auto train. that is sooooo cool. Have you guys done that? Looks like it would not be bad from the east coast? And you get to have your own car.

Yikees, looked at my counter, I have to think about resturants stat.:wizard: :woohoo: Better get busy.

mky:cutie:

mky...hasn't the adr window changed somehow? I didn't pay attention too much as we make ours after all the upgrades, etc.

The booking adjustment for ADRs has changed again. Due to a system upgrade, most dining reservation can be made for dates through February 22, 2009. The booking window should return to normal when the upgrade is complete by November 21, 2008.

Hey everyone. Candi...sent you an e-mail with a couple of pictures. File size is pretty big.

So I bought myself Disney Crocs. The pearl white ones with pink strap. So excited. Now I have a Bagallini and my Crocs. I am all set. Except for a hotel room of course!

EE22: Would love a discount at AK. I am actually preparing myself mentally for a cramped room for 2 weeks at POR. Did some pricing with paying OOP for the meals or doing the DDP. Difference over a 2 week period was about $200 less to pay oop but we miss out on a lot of dining opportunities. DD4 NEEDS to go to every princess meal. After figuring out those prices and $80 per day for counter service for 5 people the prices were pretty close. Free dining will probably be late August and DH wants to get home earlier rather than later. August 9 starts value season so that is my goal date of departure unless somehow I get a code for an earlier time period. Not going to hold my breath though. Just gonna go on the AAA at POR.

MKY: Those air prices are crazy.:scared1: SW just published $69 each way fares. Of course you have to travel on off days but that is fine with me. I would be driving too.

Enjoy the weekend everyone.

TP2: I know POR is not your first choice, but for two friends of mine, that's the only place they stay. They love it there. I'd rather stay there on property than off site, but I'm hooked on the Disney Magic.

EE22, I thought so too about the adr's, but when I switched it up > the cm reminded me of calling at the 180 mark. I said "what about the new set up thing" and said it was almost ready.:confused3 This was the phone conversation from wdw, when I made the first ressies. I will try and plan and then call but they will tell me for sure.;)

We are actually looking forward to driving. Bug is making all kinda plans. This should be interesting.:wizard:

mky:cutie:

Hiya everyone :wave2:

Just finished my survery for wdw's poly. That was fun. ;) I had all but given up about getting one. And we almost always get one from them.

Still awaiting March 09's hours. :surfweb: Can't do much without them.:confused3

Still planning alot about adr's and making picks. Thinking about narcoosee's for the first time. But do you have to bring a dress or something fancier than nice shorts / shirt to eat there? I can't afford more luggage room.

Its pouring here right now, and tornado threatening cause of going from 98 degrees to 75.

mky:cutie:

Tomar will know about Narcoosee's. I'm positive she's been there, but then again...my brain is going fast.

The temp dropped here too...I wish it would rain. It's so dry. My room was so hot today so I'm thrilled that it's cooler. Tornadoes can stay far, far away though, but there's always the chance like you said mky:cutie: with drastic temperatures changes.

;)

Yikes ! I heard that also EE22  Im hoping that it all goes back to normal when it`s time for us to call !
I believe once the enhancements are in place...the 180 day window will return as before :goodvibes

Im still keeping my fingers crossed for a Great code for CBR for you in the new Pirate Rooms !! Here`s a link to the Main Pool rehab....soooooooo pretty !

MKY- We had my Birthday Dinner at Narcoossees this year...It`s a great Restaurant....if you time your ADR right...and ask for a window table when you check in at the podium....you willl be in for a great treat !....first the Electric Water Parade passes you right on Seven seas Lagoon ....then the lights go dim in the restaurant and you will be watching and hearing "Wishes "while you have desert !
I did..... while enjoying Cindy`s slipper !!!! ;)
As far as the dress code....you don`t have to go crazy with a very fancy outfit...but something alittle more dressy then the usual Park attire will do....:cloud9: You`ll be fine with Capris and a little dressier top ;)
I have a question for you too MKY:cutie:
I was wondering if you ate at the" Wave" ( the contemp.) and if so ...how was it ???

WEll....the kiddies are all off to school here in New Jersey this week....the summer is officially Over :sad1:
Soooooooo.......BACK TO THE PLANNING STAGE......GUYS !!:flower3: :grouphug:
