Thanks for calling, Happy Mothers to all the moms!
I did a search on it and that's what several people posted. Someone even asked the DDE office. I renewed mine the beginning of April still thinking ap rates would be released for our dates in June. After some confusion, I finally had it renewed. They told me 3 weeks to get the card. I haven't received mine yet, but that's because the person working there isn't working there anymore. I called back to check on it and sure enough...the feeling I had was correct. They totally messed it up. The new CM I talked with put my info in after May 8th so I would get a June 07 expiration. Just order yours before your pass expires.java said:I hope that is right because mine expires before we go(the DDE expires the end of June and my AP expires July2- we'll be at the world June30-july9) so I hope that is right. Last year I don't recall anyone asking for my AP when we dined.- some did ask for ID to prove who I was- like a resort card ect...But I don't remember ever having to show an AP.

I know it went into effect after my May/June trip there last year. I booked Pop Century for Labor Day while I was up there thru CRO. I was there until 6/10 last year... If I remember right, it started by runing along side the late Aug/Oct AP rate release, except it was for stays from Nov & after (I think)EEyorelover22 said:Does anyone remember how the BRP was released last year? Was there an announcement on the Disney site? I was at WDW when the entire thing was unleashed so wasn't following the news on ap issues.

No, that is not how that program works. You need a valid AP to get it (unless you are a FL resident). FL residents use to be the only ones that were able to get the DDE. They offered a discount if you were an AP holder too.DWDreams said:I believe you have to show a valid AP in order to actually use the DDE card. Passholders and up to three guests can save 25% off the regular price of Category 2 admission.budget mom said:Someone mentioned a new la nouba offer the other day............what is the scoop on it?
They should know the rules but you may have many new seasonal CM's in training now & they do not. That is not an excuse though for them not knowing, but may be the reason...EEyorelover22 said:DWDreams:
I find it annoying that the DDE office doesn't even know the rules if that's the case.
If you ordered your DDE before your AP expires (which if I read your previous post, you did), then you should be ok. As far as being a FL resident & moving... if you moved during the year, obviously you will still have your DDE until your expiration date. If you went to renew after moving & not holding a valid AP, you will not get the card. They will deny you when they see the new address & no valid AP.java said:You know though the more I think about it.... what if I was a FL resident...then I wouldn't have to have an AP. And what if I had moved? I think once you have the DDE you are good to go. I'll just renew it and hope for the best.
I'd say I've used mine maybe 50 times and was asked one time for my AP at Sci Fi Dine-in. Several times (mostly at ASMo food court) I was asked for an ID. I did usually give DDE card with room key to charge it back to the room or Visa so in some ways I was showing another ID. I used it at the bar at AKL last week and the manager had to be present to OK the use but even he didn't ask for an ID.DaisyD said:I have used our DDE card about 100 times so far and have never been asked to show my AP. Only reason that I can think of for the CM asking for the AP may have been as a form of ID, but that really would not make any sense since there is no pic on it. Unless it was a new CMlovesdumbo said:I'd say I've used mine maybe 50 times and was asked one time for my AP at Sci Fi Dine-in. Several times (mostly at ASMo food court) I was asked for an ID.
