June/July/August 2006 Code watch

I'm starting to worry about missing out on what I'm after altogther...should I go ahead and simply book the rooms I need for early June and then apply an AP to it later...or should I hold off...my worry is I'm going to miss out - my other worry is that they'll have another rack booking giving them reason not to release an AP code........

I think the time to consider going off-property is rapidly approaching.....

:confused3

I'd book now. I waited until this time last year to book for early June and didn't get the resort I wanted. We ended up in the FW Cabins instead. It was fine, but I really wanted PO again. Book now. Hope for AP.

You know if I remember correctly the first batch of AP rates originally went to July 4- so this last one that was released last year included the june to early july. Then in May they released the dates after July 4. (we had an ongoing trip during that time and needed both sets of AP's and they were released within one month of each other.

Is WDW skipping us June people for AP rates  ? June 4 to July 4th ?????

I hope not

Wow, you know I hadn't even thought of this. What if they DO skip June altogether? Has that been done before? I will be so sad!!!!!! We have WL booked for 7 nights in June and I was hoping for that discount just like everyone else. Hoping and praying!!!

Thanks - presumably then I'd just phone if codes come out and ask to apply it to that ressie yeah?!

Trying to see the "half full" side of June codes...
with some searching on the Disney site for the end of June, the mods are booked, but there are still rooms at the values and deluxes. That's based on how reliable the site is of course.

Here's hoping!!

Yes, prior to 9/11 AP codes where announced very shortly before date 1month to 2 months top & occassionally months where skipped. I remember paying full price twice. October once and July once. :guilty:  So if they are fully recovered we may be slipping back to the old ways?

Hopefully, something will be out in the next few days. mky :smickey:

Higgins says "nothing on a weekend", so no for today and probably tommorrow. Everyone hang in there.

Thanks for calling. Thanks for the history before 9/11 too since mousesavers only goes back to 2003. I'm sure with no ap rates, some people will change plans for their resorts.

I am an AP holder and also hoping for an AP rate, for our trip from July 9-16. We are currently booked at AKL with a AAA rate and even if AP rates don't come out, that's where we are staying. I also wish that Best Rate was still available. It guarateed that we would get the best rate available, that only people that had purchased an AP in advance were eligible and assured Disney that people wouldn't casually cancel ressies. The only drawback for me with Best Rate was not being able to pay the trip off in advance. We have paid this trip off and if an AP code is released, we'll get a credit...if not at least I have my room already booked and I was able you get 2 trips this year out of my AP.

I just can't help but think that I could potentially save $700 with the AP rate. That would practically pay for all of our ADR's. I am trying to see the bright side and forget about the AP rate for now. It's stressing me out too much! Lol :crazy2:

Mine would be $1000 since we are staying 10 days.
I hear ya!!

I don't even want to think about 18 days. :guilty:

My back up plan is ressie I have at dolphin for 8 days, got $129.00 with the 1 cat. room upgrade. :moped: and then keep the poly for the 10 days aaa rate.  It comes out about the same, (if we get 80 to 100 off deluxe) in the long run. We are taking adhd nephew this year so I really want to stay put. :sunny:

come on ap rates. Yikees I still have to join AAA, how long does it take to get that card?

Oh Wow Good LUCK! My 13 yo is ADHD and it can be a real challenge sometimes!!! Usually he is fine at WDW, because since there is constant motion, constantly something going on or to look at, he is just fine. Hopefully your nephew will be just fine too.
:thumbsup2

We are not ap holders but hoping for a code for August. We are going for 15 nights. Do you think there will be a code?

why is there nothing for june yet :(

They don't love us!!

In looking at mousesavers, there have been times that the codes come out only 7-8 days before the first day of the code. I'll give up when I'm on the plane :rotfl:
