June/July/August 2006 Code watch

Is there going to be a general code or just AP. I have ressie in July for me and June for my son and I would love to upgrade!! :confused3

I think the majority feel that the free dining plan in August is the only thing for the general public. I think that basically AP holders are looking out for codes at this point. But of course you never know. :confused3

Someone posted a few pages ago about Disney not offering the AP discount this summer because the rooms are almost full. Honestly, I don't think the only reason Disney offers AP discounts is to fill rooms. I think the offer it as an incentive for people to buy AP's. Think about it - Without the discount, granted, many would still buy the AP, but many (myself included) wouldn't bother. AP holders are a BIG part of Disney's business. Not just at the resorts, but at the parks. People like myself that spend 28 days a year in the parks and eat all their meals inside the parks, that's alot to Disney. I don't see Disney ever not offering the greatest perk to AP holders. It would be a very bad business decision. The amount of money they "lose" from the AP discount on resorts is extremely minimal when compared to the money they back from AP holders.

Agree. And, to add, as I wrote yesterday, how many would move off site or downgrade?

A friend of mine was off site in Jan before they stopped BRP and then moved on site when they offered late Jan AP rates about 6 days before she left.

ok...I held it together, but now only 3 minutes later....

I can't take it anymore!!! :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

I just got off the phone with a not very helpful CM. She told me yes I had the pass rate! I am so excited and said what is the rate, $172! I said that is not an AP rate so she put me on hold for 10 minutes and then came back and said there are no rates past 6/3! I swear she was just messing with me! She said try back in a couple of weeks.

He must be one busy guy--unfortunately, he had the same news for me at 6:59:59! :lmao: "And the beat goes on. . .and the beat goes on. . ."

Well, the first CM I got didn't have a clue about AP rates at all. She kept telling me that I had to have one to make a ressie! The second time I called, Norma Sue told me that they should come out soon. I tried to go ahead and get a AAA rate and she told me that there wasn't one available for June10-17. Oh the pain and agony, when will it end!!! I have got to order tickets soon, so Disney if you are listening, get on with it already!!!

It is going to be the end of this week or early next week CAUSE I will be at work early and not able to call / check here. ;)

Good try for 3 minutes EEyorelover22!

Yes, wan't Boone nice! :thumbsup2 He even sounds cute.

I'm one of those people that Disney has benefited more when I had an AP. We never go more than once a year, but AP rates came out, I bought one AP for each of us and we went to WDW 3 times within one year. We never would have done this without the APs. Just hope I can get an AP for my August 7 - 18 trip, since the free dining doesn't work out for us...

Someone said Friday. Yes, it's Good Friday so that's what will make it good ;)
I'm Catholic...hope I don't get into trouble. Besides, we have a snow make up day Friday and that's the only thing that will make it Good Friday.
