June/July/August 2006 Code watch

I'm wondering if Disney is trying to be sure those folks who are booked with packages and the 45 day cancellation requirement cannot switch to an AP. As I have posted before, in 2003 we waited until April 23, I believe before release of June rates--although that release date included May! Trying to figure out the thought process behind the release dates is pointless. . .we'll just have to keep on checking and checking. . . :confused3

I just called & the CM told me next week they should be out. She said 5 to 6 weeks out from the date & were not quite there yet.

That's what we who talk to customers on the telephone all day refer to as "passing the buck to someone else when we have no idea."

Now refresh my memory I think I only saved an additional $10 a day off my AAA rate last year with my AP. Does that make sense? Should it be more? We stayed GF last year and are staying Poly this year.

June AP rates were $100 off a deluxe so I would assume it would be $10 off a deluxe for AAA. Maybe you didn't stay deluxe last year? Depends on what month you went too since July/August rates were less off for those months.

Interesting thought. That would be 4/20. 45 days out from June 4th.

If in 2003 it was 4/23 for May codes (??) did I understand that correctly?
Then there is still hope for June :)

The AP rate is a set amount usually, such as $100 off a delux. The AAA rate varies and is a percentage, between 10 - 20% off dependant on resort and the season. Value season for a delux is 15% off , so depndant on the room choosen etc it can come close sometimes.

Thanks all for checking. I have to say though that I did not have much hope for this morning because they always seem to let one or two people squeek through the night before and I haven't seen that yet. Well, lets hope for a release soon. I have to say that 4/20 does sound interesting. :scratchin

I talked to DH ..... He called @ 7:02 AM (EST) & the CM he talked to said "you're the second person that's asked me that question this morning!" Yep .... the other DISer's were all up & at 'em allright ......

I called today, 4/12 @ 9:30 AM - no AP rates,

BUT ... the current rates end ..
2/16/06 - 4/13/06 EZK
and
4/23/06 - 6/03/06 EZN

So maybe AP rates will be out soon...

CODES - my guess - from letter K to N is 3 characters and period of time rate is good for is 3 months.

If the next set of rates are June/July/Aug (since free dining starts end of Aug) then that would be 3 months - and 3 characters from N would be Q...
AP code for summer months would be EZQ ???? :rotfl2:

JUST A GUESS - this is not documented anywhere !
