June/July/August 2006 Code watch

Thanks for checking.

I finally did the search thru the April/May watch & saw that their dates opened up initially about 2 months out on Wednesday, 2/22. I believe that they did skip discounts the week after Easter (natch).

Anyone know if there's a pattern (as in Wednesday mornings?). Yep, I am scrapping the bottom of the barrel here.:rotfl2:

Yes, they did skip Easter.
So...what is your best guess date then since these expire on 6/3?

Is 4/5 60 days out from 6/3?
Did I figure that right?

I thought it would today too. Our mistake is probably trying to predict what WDW will do, they're devious :rotfl2: .

Do think they're waiting to see what opens up this week/changing of res. due to free dining promo until they commit to the June/July discounts.

Madame Keisha's crystal ball predicts next week, I like the 11th:thumbsup2 .

What do you think?

I hope it comes soon. I am going July and don't want to pay rack rates!!!

So do ya'll think that with the free dining people canceled June ressies?

OH WOW! AAA rates might open up at PORFQ.. off to call and check with CRO! Hey, its better then nothing! *still praying for AP rates*

My guess is next Tuesday. For some reason I think Tuesday :cheer2: is a popular date for them to release AP codes but I could be wrong. I think CRO needs some time to recover from this weeks free dining promo before they release any more codes and start another frenzy. I also thought 60 days out something would be released, and it was, just not for us. :rolleyes1 And I am also going with the hope that they want to see how many people change reservations to get a true determination of their June/July occupancy rate. :goodvibes

I agree. I think they will want a little space between callers for free dining and the next set of AP rates. I've had the 13th and 14th of April in my head for a while.

My prediction is Tuesday, April 11. I think they will wait until the first set of codes expire on April 8, which is a Saturday and then release on the Tuesday after, which is popular day of the week to release dates. I hope, I hope, I hope! :thumbsup2

Okay, so my hopes are shattered!

Called CRO, b/c with all these people jumping to late summer for Free Dining I hoped that a few AAA rooms would open at POFQ. So I talk to the guy, and he says NOPE no AAA at POFQ. And then he went on to inform me that even if someone holding a AAA rate at POFQ cancels the room does not go back into the system at AAA rate, but at rack :(

So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE release AP rates SOON! Or FL, its okay, my bestfriend lives in FL and will be with us. but something, ANYTHING!!! :guilty:

You're killing me here :scared1: . This is the exact opposite of what I was told (more than once by CM's). Of course it's not unusual to get different answers to the same questions @ WDW.

If Disney works like other hotel systems rooms released MAY or MAY NOT go back into discount inventory. Basically it's a fairly compliacated system so IF you have a hotel where there are still lots of vacant rooms then when you release a room and add it to inventory it may trigger a "discount" release, If the hotel is fairly full it won't trigger that release.

May I ask a silly question? Is this thread mainly watching for AP codes? I am looking for regular room only codes for June....possibly gettting an AP while we are there at the end of our stay. So I just need a "regular people" code at the moment! :) Thanks!

I think most of us are waiting for AP rates, but regular people codes would be posted too I'm sure.

The day I pay off the remaining balance on my resort ressie is the day before the AP rates will come out. That way Disney will use my money for a couple months as it will sit as a credit on my resort ressie! That's what happened last year. I paid off the balance and the next day or two, AP rates came out.

Maybe I'll go pay it now? :rotfl2:

Individual sacrifices must be made:lmao: . Talk about bad timing.

Well, I paid more off. I only owe $300 more :rotfl: those rates will be out in an hour or two now....

Just to let you know how little the CMs know about AP rates...when they are coming out and what the history is of AP rates...the CM who took my money  told me that AP rates are not usually released for the summer months so I should not expect any.

NOT!!!!

last three summers they have released them.

I'm not saying that they will for sure this year, but what he told me was dead wrong.

It seems like the June AP rates will be out next week based on the last few years' history. I'm waiting for the "after July 4" set of rates and am betting it will be May 9 ('cuz it's my birthday).

Looking forward to hearing from the Thursday morning person who actually calls. Thanks!

While sitting here this morning :surfweb: I took a look at the history for 2006 for passholder rates and there really isn't any trend for when they are released, but I did remember that some rates were released very close to the travel date because a friend was going. 5-6 days before! then another one was only 30 days out. We could have a long wait still. :bored:

Do changes to a reservation have to be outside the 5 day cancellation period?

Nothing new this a.m. at 7:00. Rep indicated it would be at least two more weeks before the AP rates are extended beyond 6/3/06. Guess we'll just have to keep pestering and pestering. . . :thumbsup2 APs were late one other year--released 4/21/03--so we could be waiting a bit. I plan to check daily though! :lmao:
