June 7, 2014 Fantasy Western Caribbean

Hi everyone!
My family and I will be joining you fabulous folks on this gorgeous ship. :woohoo:
This will be our fifth Disney Cruise. This time around it will be a celebratory cruise as my husband is graduating with his doctorate! :yay: June 2014 can't come fast enough!!

As expected, we've already decided to bow out. This cruise is just too expensive compared to our 2012 and 2013 cruises. We're going to try to book an earlier date which is a lot less expensive or wait to see where the Magic/Wonder are that summer.

I really wish Disney wasn't pricing themselves so high to start off. We booked this one on the first day of booking for Gold CC members and it was by far the most we would have paid per person per day.

I know it'll be a fun cruise. Enjoy!

Since we're doing a b2b in June of 2013 this will now be our 6th cruise. I'll be Gold for this cruise woohoopirate:

Hi We will be on this cruise. I have not cruised with Disney since my daughter was 12. She is now 22 and is as excited as I am to cruise on a disney ship again. We are joining my sisters family and my niece will be the only child in our group and she will be 12. We also have our mom coming and a friend of my daughters so we have 3 rooms total. I was glad to see a thread for this cruise already because I love to read these forums as I am planning. It's a long way off but time flies!! Anyone have ideas for excursions? We would really like to do river tubing in Jamaica I would love suggestions for other ports. Thanks!

Welcome to all the new additions! :grouphug:
Glad to have you join the thread! :thumbsup2
See, I knew I wouldn't be the ONLY one wanting to plan/talk/lurk 17 months out! :rotfl2:

I think a FB page would be great.:thumbsup2 2 of my other DCL cruise FB pages are still active (from 2011 & 2012) and some of those folks are not based in the US/Canada :)

We plan on doing the mixology and whiskey tastings while on board. We did them on the Fantasy this past December and had a blast with the guys (especially Novak) He's awesome:yay:

As for being excited for this cruise...I'm cruising again later in 2014 and their DISboard page is already talking about matching Tshirts for our first day meet.. It's never to early to be excited about a DCL cruise. Bring on the planning/meet up postings :)

I am so excited to have booked our 2nd Disney Cruise. Our first was on the Dream last June, and it was amazing!! It will be myself, dd Tesla16, and dd Robbie, 14. Can't wait!

Any new people for this cruise? Looks like the ocean views are all booked and not many insides left. At least they don't show as available on the disney site.

Hi all! Just switched our Christmas cruise to this one. Our school calendar for 2014 has just come out and this date was perfect. Warm ocean, not having to worry about traveling during the winter etc. plus we did the Eastern in 2012 and haven't been to any of the Western ports. DH also prefers being home for Christmas. We have been on the Dream once and the Fantasy once. Loved them both but Fantasy was just wonderful because of the longer cruise.

It will be me, dh, and our 3 dds ages 16, 16, and 10 at time of sailing.

Hello everyone! Glad to be joining the group. My DD14 (at time of sailing) and I will be heading out with y'all. This will be our 7th Disney cruise, but our 1st on the Fantasy. I'm really looking forward to hearing from anyone that's been on the Western itinerary that can help out with excursion ideas. It seems like time passes a little faster when the thread is active with conversations about our upcoming vacation. June 2014 does feel SO far away, though!!!

Yes we need excursion ideas as well. I am waiting for info on river tubing in Jamaica . It is such a long way off but it will be here before we know it!!

We haven't confirmed yet...however we might be leaving this cruise. So a navigators verandah will open up. I'll know more after this June.
DW and I may be going to Hong Kong Disneyland and back to Tokyo Disneyland/sea in October of this year.
We have two cruises booked for 2014 and I'd have to let one go...:confused3
:(:worried::(

Well we are booked for Hong Kong and Tokyo. I haven't cancelled this cruise yet i'm hoping to swing both cruises in 2014.

This will be our first cruise. Me, DH, and DS 9, DS 6 at time of sailing. Hope to learn all the ins and outs before going. What do you all think of the Mayan ruins? Is Jamaica good for dolphin swimming?
