i am in Crawley, about 10 minutes from Gatwick, leaving my house at 5 saturday morning for flight at 6.55, arr Barcelona 9.55, what about you?

Thanks for the info on everything, are the plugs two or three pin?

Didn't know whether to take her little outfit of Tinkerbell i bought her for the Disney show recently in brighton, what do you think?

Have you cruised before? With Disney?

We'll be on that flight as well. Did you book independantly or do a package deal? We live in Brighton so not too far from you.

i've cruised on the wonder twice before, but this is my first time on the magic.
the plugs are the standard US 2 pin plugs, grab yourself a plug adapter before you go, and dont forget that things will take twice as long to charge as the voltage isnt as high as ours.
my grandparents live not too far from you , they live in horley, pretty much next to the aiport.
we live in southend in essex, we're flying friday morning from stansted at 10am, arrive in barcelona about 1.15, then there's a load of us from here staying at the novotel in barcelona then getting a coach to the port on saturday morning.
i'd say go for it taking the tinkerbell dress, it'll be really cute on the formal night, and will make for some great family photos is it the dark green tink dress from the disney store? (i work at the disney store in lakeside)

I have cruised with Royal Caribbean before and love cruising, so when i saw this deal i just had to grab it, especially as i had been thinking of taking my daughter to DLP anyway.

i thought about going out the day before once the ash cloud was affecting everything, but by then the flight costs with easyjet have more than doubled. i am hoping that the transfer to the port will show me a little of barcelona.

ok i will bring the dress, no i bought it in tescos, was reduced to about £6, so grabbed a bargain.

i never used to be into disney, i was always more into universal, but since my daughter came along, disney is growing on me, must be a mum thing!

are you going as a group? i am leaving the husband behind and spending some bonding time with little keisha

Airport is about 20 minutes from the port if I remember right (we did the Med. in 2007 on Disney)

You will love Disney Cruise Line. Just be warned---you will be hooked and your daughter will want you to go again....and again.....and again!

I hope to have the magnets at the 10:30PM dis-meet, so if anyone gets an upgrade they can get thier door magnet then. This is our 4th with Disney but because my mother is coming too, we will be able to have more adult time this time around, looking forwad to that too!

i'm not going with a group, just with my husband gary, but there is a group of us from here thats staying in the same hotel the night before and we're all getting a coach to the port in the morning.

oh soooooo true!! this is our 3rd cruise in less than 2 years......


only 1 more day at work to go then its packing time! then holidays on friday!

Actually, we arrive in London Sunday morning and then take Monarch Airlines over to Gibraltar. So we will be there before the Magic. Tried to figure out how a helicopter could just land on the Magic on Sunday and we could arrive directly on the ship, but no such luck!

Anyway, we are staying at The Rock Hotel Sunday night and I have requested a room with verandah with view to the port to watch the Magic coming in Monday morning. I will be up early and actually watching you come in and taking pictures with my camera. So be sure to wave to me from Deck 10! If I can zoom in close enough with my Cannon Digital Rebel, I might be able to see you coming in........

We have soft side luggage and my thought is if they want in the will cut anyway. Someone told me to just use garbage ties or zip ties but then we would have to find someone on the ship with scissors to cut them off. any suggestions are welcome.

We always use cable (zip) ties Bode, both here and in the States, & put a tiny nail scissors in the small side pocket to open them with. Used a lock at one stage and it ruined the case when they popped the lock, we had made it to Orlando from NYC, but the bags didn't so one of them was forced open.

when we fly into the US we need to use TSA locks as you guys check luggage a lot more carefully than we do. i say lock them for your own piece of mind, if they need to cut them off they will do but chances are you'll be ok

Welcome Fatou, we cruise a lot too, usually in the Med, so will be great to do it on the Disney Ship, we are going more for the ship than the stops!! Definately bring anything Disney that your daughter has. We found the little ones love dressing up for dinner. Last time our dd was three and wore both Snow White and Belle, however, she is less into dresses now (6 in September), so it's High School Musical and her Mickey Mouse cape (bought in DLP)!

We are flying Monarch too, a budget line, but hopefully will be on time! We will give you a wave, perhaps we should make a banner?!

Alex, you will be carrying a lot of magnets, I hope you get to hand them out, or you could be delivering all night. It is very kind of you to do them (you probably regret it now! )

We set off tomorrow morning, as some early o clock, so maybe will bump into Scott in the Tapas.

Packing done, think I probably have too much!! When I was working I would be away 7 days with one very very small bag. Now I seem to have got to 20kgs and a bit more. Hope it is warm, or I will be buying sweaters!
