Hi hope everyone has got off ok and the UKers are all set to go.

Had a tiring day today having been up since 4.30 and probably did too much walking. Need to be more organised tomorrow. Hotel ok at first disappointed with location but then found the metro stop straight through to centre of it all and walked over the road to a good shopping centre.

Just had a lovely meal at the hotel. OH and dd are fast asleep so o am using the free wifi. Scott we are also planning the hoho bus apparently the hotel do a small discount on the ticket.

Karen S. How lovely to stay on and continue cruising! We are meeting up after dinner on Sat. Come along. I have done all the stops before and they can all be done very easily on your own. We can have a chat.

sounds like everyone in Barcelona are having a great time already. What is the temperature like? It hit 23 degrees centigrade here in Brighton today. I'm hoping for a little more heat than that on Saturday.

I've just packed mine and daughters case. Haven't weighed them yet. But I'm praying I haven't gone over 20kg in each case. Hubby will be home tomorrow night. His clothes all ironed, so he can decide what he wants to bring with him. I learnt a long time ago not to pack for him!

I can't wait for this trip now. Just one more day at work and then Disney time. I can almost taste that Sangria and lovely tapas dishes already.

Hello everyone,
our train from Paris arrived this morning and today we went to the Sagrada Familia church, had lunch at 4 cats and then went up to park guell. And when I say UP I do mean up! My legs are killing me from the climb. So we are back in the room for a rest. I think we are going to use the hop on/off bus tomorrow.

So, I noticed the Novotel has not only a pool but also a pool bar listed on the roof!

Weather is great (I think) 25c, but it cools off at night.
We have already started the pre cruise party, Paella with Scott and Lynn last night. Dinner looking back at us!. Found new drink Peach schnapps....OH MY!!!!
Up and out early...finish up tonight with Font Magic at Montjuic. Fountain shows start at 9:30 0r 20:30 . Maybe see some DISers there!!
If not see you at the ship 10:00 with bells on!

we're at stansted airport now, our easyjet flight is delayed by half hour due to the plane coming in late from its previous flight. Hope it's on time for you guys flying with them tomorrow
but at least it means that by the time we get there, claim the luggage and get a cab into town, we should hopefully be able to check straight into the hotel. Then its off out to the town for some tapas!

Glad to hear that most of you have arrived safely and enjoying Barcelona.

We arrived this morning 1/2 hour before the expected time, it was Air Canada's first flight to Barcelona. Lot of fanfare at the Toronto and Barcelona airport, sangria, tapas, firefighters hosing the plane down...

Upon arriving at the hotel after a 1 1/2 hour wait for the Suntransfers driver. Arranged for a booster seat in advance (6 euros) and was picked up by a local cab/taxi rather than a sedan with no booster seat.

Finally arrived at the hotel after much confusion and was able to check-in right away.

Found that the luggage with the formal wear is soaked in sunscreen...emptied the entire bottle on the girls formal dresses. Thank goodness the Magic offers dry cleaning.

Also realized that I have left the fish extender and the gifts sitting on the kitchen table at home So much for the "Canadian" input in to the gifts. The girls are really disappointed with Mom, worried that we will not be able to participate in the FE festivities.

They are all resting now and I am on my way out to do my best to find a replacement FE and gifts.

Look forward to seeing you on board tomorrow, wish me luck with the FE!

By now I hope everyone is in Barcelona - we have had a great trip so far, and we have really enjoyed Barcelona.

Sinthia, don't worry about replacing your FE gifts - I forgive you for leaving them home. Hope you do not have anymore problems before getting on the ship.

But hey, this time tomorrow, should be on board, eaten dinner and unpacking cases and getting ready for the first night of entertainment.

Still worried about the weight of our cases. I'm trying to convince hubby that he doesn't need a lot and he should give some of his suitcase space to me

I realised at the last minute that I haven't got any ink in my printer and was not able to print off the DC documentation they say you should bring with you. Will we be in deep XXXX if I don't have that? I've got everything else, passports, disney cruise booklet with all our details. That should be enough should't it?

if you dont have the printouts, its not a major problem but it will take you longer to check in at the port.
barcelona airport was wierd, its the only airport i've ever been in where you have to go through another security checkpoint AFTER you get off the ship, they tried to take my baileys off me! they didnt get far.....

We are back at The Novotel relaxing for the evening. We went down to the beach, swam in the pool, and visited the shopping mall across the street. Overall we were happy with the accommodations. Our Sun Transfer from the airport was prompt and easy to find. We had a woman taxi driver and she was very friendly. Breakfast was pricey and wasn't spectacular. See ya'll in the morning for the party bus!

had a great time using the hop on/off bus today. Had dinner on the Ramblas and now I am trying to repack so that we fit on the party bus tomorrow! I guess it will be interesting to meet each other for the first time as we are loading up...

Caught up with Karen and Gary but no one else - sorry'. Scott ithink I saw you outside a lift but you got in before I could get to you. We had another busy day. Hoho bus Park guell, la sagrada and shops. A great wine shop in the shopping mall across road but only bought one bottle. Were going to go back tonight but ran out of time

I keep staring at people wondering if they are any of you lot! In the lift today saw identical twins with USA accent, asked if they were Jenna and Brook and they looked at me as if i was mad! Oops!

Sorry we dididnt catch up hopefully we will manage the bus!! By the way I love a fuzzy navel!
