June 3, 2006 - Disney Magic Western Carribean

We have the late seating too. I'm anxious to see how all of this works with the changed times. I prefer late. :flower: ::yes:: :flower:

We have early seating. Had that last cruise and it worked well. I liked eating first and then seeing the shows. If dd is tired she can fall asleep in the late show instead of being tired and/or cranky at a late night dinner.

We also have the early seating. :duck: I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. How are all those that are dieting doing?

We're in the early seating too. Our DD-12 and DS-10 wanted to know if any of you have kids their same age? At least they will have each other in the Oceaneer Lab, but it always great to make new friends.

Tam-Pa,

I have a dd (11) and a ds (10). They love the clubs. PM me with your childrens names so they can get to know each other.

When is everyones seating time for dinner? We have the late seating.

Hi Merryweather and Imok - we'll be joining you at the late seating. Our ds(7) loves to eat dinner "with his friends" at the club.

The diet is going OK. I am doing Atkins. I just started January 2 and I have lost 9 lbs. However, I am quickly getting tired of cheese stix, broccoli and slim jims. But, I'll stick with it. (For now!)

I hope the late dinner will work for us. We have two DD (7 and 5). We may try them eating with us and if they can't handle it we can take them to the club. They are used to us eating out with other adults so they might be Ok. We'll see.

I bought some new spring clothes for the girls today. They have so many cute styles out already.

I am waiting to buy new clothes. Maybe the cheese stix, broccoli, and slim jims will help me wiggle into a smaller size by then. :rotfl:

136 days and counting. :rotfl2: Is everyone getting excited. We have started to pick up stuff that we will need for the cruise. I like to buy one item each week, that way I'm not spending 300 dollars right before the cruise, save that money for the cruise. :cool1:

Everyone have a great day.

We have early dinner seating. Anyone else?

We are doing the same thing Simba. We have bought quite a few things and putting them aside for the trip. This way we will not have to use what we already have --- and it will just make things easier. My DD's are actually even putting them in the suitcase. We even got photo paper while on sale so we can start printing as soon as we get back. Not in any hurry huh - :rotfl2:

Hello everyone. We are also going on the June 3 Western cruise. It will be me (mid 30's), my DH (mid 30's), and my DS (7). I also have a DD (1) but she gets to stay with the GPs while we are on the cruise. When she gets older she will get to go. This will be our 2nd DCL cruise. We did the 4 day on the Wonder last June with a couple of days at WDW afterward. My DS had such a good time that as we were leaving the ship he wanted to know when we were coming back. :earsboy:

We have the early dinner seating. Last year we had the late seating, and my DS wasn't able to enjoy it since he was usually so tired. I think he will do much better with the earlier dinner.

I haven't decided where we are going to stay the night before. We are driving down on Friday. Last year we stayed in St. Augustine Beach and split the drive up so as to not tire out the DS so much. Any suggestions? Looking forward to talking with everyone.

Wow it sounds like they are having rough seas on the 1/14 cruise. I hope we don't have those problems. I would hate to have to worry about being on Bonine the whole time. I'm afraid that it will just make me sleep :guilty:. I think going in June we should be safe. Wht do you guys think? :confused3

Hi Dana. I too have a DS - 7..his name is Christopher. I am sure they (DSs) will find each other, especially if your DS goes to the Club. I know what you mean about wanting to come back to DCL- we too started with the Wonder four day cruise and decided the only thing we didn't like was that it was way too short. That was about 6 DCL cruises ago....we've become quite addicted!!!!

Re the rough seas - I don't think we will have a problem but you never know especially with the way hurricane seasons have gone recently. We did hit a hurricane on the PC crossing-we had one day where a few folks were having issues but that lasted less than 24 hrs - we hit rough seas about 5am but things were fairly calm by night. I think they do a good job avoiding the bad weather. Have you ever used a scopolamine patch? I use it on each cruise just in case - I had no problem with the hurricane. There are some contraindications with the patch - but I've not experienced any side effects.

Welcome Dana! I have a DD who is 7.(Tori)
I hope she can meet your DS (and Cinlyn's) at the kids clubs.

I also have a DD who is 5.(Maggie)
