June 29, 2008 - Magic - West Coast!!!!

The ship sails after the muster drill. Immediately after the drill, drop off your vests and head directly to the sail away party for a good spot. There are lots of dancing, the characters come out, dance some more. After the countdown and the horn blows, the ship starts it's departure. Lots of people then go to the rails to watch the ship sail out of port. I love that! My DD9 and I will probably go down to our room when we come upon the restuarants to wave to my DH since he knows where our stateroom is. I always bring a DCL towel to hold over or wave.  Can't wait! :cool1:

Cool, thanks! :cool2: We're on Deck 8, so I guess running down to our balcony to wave (although, we'd just be waving to the masses since we'd have no one personally to wave to) would be the thing to do.....plenty of room there :thumbsup2 I'm headin' to Disneyland tomorrow, and can't wait to make my hotel reservations for after the cruise! :cool1:

Hi all, thought I should join this thread... :)

Thanks! We've been perusing the excursions to see what's interesting. Seeing as we're from CA, Mexico doesn't seem to be as exciting as the caribbean, but I'm definitely looking forward to this cruise! We've never been on the Magic before...

Yup....us too. We're still up in the air if we're even getting off of the ship yet, but those excursions look very fun. Our first trip on the Magic may be excitement enough for us. :woohoo:

Yay! We will be joining you on 6/29/08. It will be me and my soon to be hubby!!! It will be our honeymoon cruise. A little dissapointed not to be doing the caribbean but we think its going to be awesome!!! I'm so happy that someone else on the Dis is on my cruise!!! Woo Hoo!!!!

Hello MickeyAnne! Congratulations on you wedding!!! My husband and I are celebrating our 20th. I am young though...(just got married very young) I am so excited that we are cruising together. It will be my first cruise. I can't wait!!! Only 154 more days!:cloud9:

Hey everyone! Wasn't sure if you noticed the thread on the main board (saw you there PizzieDuster)....but, the Mexican Riviera theme nights have been posted. I wish I knew how to post a link....but we missed having Pirate night on July 4th. Pirate night will be on the 5th night of the cruise (which is July 3rd) per this posters email from DCL. It would've been cool to have the fireworks on the 4th, but oh well. And who knows, they might change it for our cruise just to coincide with the holiday :confused3 Not sure if they'd actually do that 'just' for us :worship: Anyway, just thought I'd share :flower3:

:thumbsup2

I'm feeling the SAME way! I am hoping for a separate Fourth of July celebration - hoping - :worship: I'll bring my decorations and appropriate clothing for DD9 and I in hopes that there will be something special. :wizard:

Either way, at least I am sailing and having a great time! :grouphug:

Ok...so tonight I was watching the Superbowl, and there was this VERY cute commercial (Pixar/Disney) with Woody and Buzz from Toy Story. So, they're talking about the new movie "Wall-E" that's coming out on June 27th, this year. Well, when I saw that I got to thinkin'....this will most likely be shown on our cruise, right? :confused3 My family is really looking forward to seeing this, and I thought I heard somewhere that they show movies that are in theaters at the time. If that's true, will it be shown in our rooms or do they show it in the theater? We're all kind of wondering about it, but were extremely excited when we found out the release date :cool1: Anyway, if anyone can answer that would be great! ;)

Oh I am HOPING that they show it on the boat! They do seem to show the new releases...

Oh that would be so cool to see that on board.

Jeez, tonight I'm trying to make a payment (by credit card) towards our cruise and I've spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how to. Does anyone know if I can just do this online... and where to go to do this? We have been saving - to make payments - but I can't figure out how to do it.

Anybody know? :confused3

Sorry.....I qualify as the MOST computer illiterate person on the face of the earth. Hopefully you found a way ;)

Hey Everyone  Anyone getting as excited as I am with only (ok correct me if I'm wrong) 4 months and 8 days left to go?? I tell ya, even though we booked the cruise on the first morning it was available, looking back at it... the past year has really flown!! I really can't believe it. As I get older, I guess the years tend to speed by....:scared: UGH! :rotfl:

It seems so far away, but I know it will come up fast!

So true :thumbsup2 Today in the mail I received a big envelope from my AAA travel agent. It was a "cruise travel kit" from Disney. Very cool little thing. It's full of booklets with lists and descriptions of the excursions, stateroom gifts, etc etc. So I know what I'm reading tonight with my glass of wine!! :drinking1

aloha,
Wow it's so close I can taste that margarita on deck 9 already. Anybody going to Disneyland the day before the cruise?
Have a great Disney day:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:
aloha,

Hey guys, sorry to have missed a lot. Got to get back in the groove of things.
We are still planning to be on the ship unless things go awry. I'll help to bump us up to the top of the cruise meet list.

It's coming fast..... I have to add 30 minutes to my work out! :scared:

I'm so excited! :cheer2: Not about paying off the cruise but just looking through the information. :upsidedow

No worries! ;) Hopefully members of our cruise will start to come back now that it's getting close  We haven't heard from anyone for a while, so hopefully they'll come soon and chat with us :thumbsup2
