June 29, 2008 - Magic - West Coast!!!!

Hey there! The 1/2 was GREAT! I had a blast running it with my friend! We finished in just under 2:30! Running through the parks was so much fun, too. It all kind of went by in a blur...it got a little ugly around miles 9-12. LOL! But I pushed through and finished! I loved how there were so many people cheering us on. Disney puts our names on our race number bibs, so the supporters can call out your name as you go by! "Go Crystal!" I heard that a lot and LOVED it! :thumbsup2

mile 10! Only 3.1 to go!

That is so COOL cryssi!!! :cheer2: So what time did you have to start??? That first picture looks like it's "dark-thirty"! :rotfl2: I've read that some of the Disney characters were also lining the route and cheering on the runners. I would LOVE that too!! Well, I'm very happy for you and your friend that you finished and had a good time....thanks for sharing

lol, definitely 0 dark thirty. It was 6:10am...

hey there cruisers! I was just thinking about you all and wondering how everyone was? I've signed up for another race, the WDW full in January...yikes! Anyway, hope everyone is well... :sunny:

Hi Gang,
I've been back a month now from the 15 day Panama Canal Repo (and the 5 day Back to Back). I promised pics - well I'm not the greatest photographer BUT our Repo group has a website where everyone shared pics that I want to share w/you all.

It's www.thepiratezone.smugmug.com and its loaded w/pics from pre cruise and galleries for each day of the cruise.

The Panama Canal Repo was just awesome. It was truly a "trip of a lifetime" - the Dis group was so much fun. Lots of us did excursions together and on board events. We put togeter our own "Grown-up Princess Night" on the 2nd formal night. Yeah - with tiara's and all!!

I don't know when we'll be sailing again given the ecnomic crunch today. BUT - on 10/6 DCL is announcing the 2010 schedule that rumors suggest that the Magic will be going to the Baltic durin the summer - if so that means Transatlantic repos again!!!
Well - I can always book a "dummy" cruise and hope I'll have the money by 2010!!!

Hope you all doing great. I'm back up in No. Calif. and only get down to L.A to visit my daughter occassionally.

Ciao!!
