Hi everyone!

I have been reading some TRs and it seems that (frequently) the tweens and young teens (13 and 14) are not too interested in the teen club. On our last cruise my DD was 11 and had a blast. In fact, she is still in email contact with friends she met on the cruise. Now she's 13 and I am worried that she'll be "bored". She's also on the shy side until she warms up.

Soooo, I was wondering if anyone with young teens would like to get together to meet with them so we can help them meet each other and then maybe it won't be so awkward for them in the teen club?

We have early dinner rotation and I have to deliver my FEs the first night, but I would LOVE to bring my DD13 to meet up with other 12, 13, 14-year-olds at the Teen club around 8 or 9 or 10?? Or whatever time is good for others?

I also have a DS11 that could come along, but he seems to meet new people more easily....

Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there.

To all you teachers out there... congrats on another year of dedication to the children! This was my first year teaching High School and it was an amazing experience!! I switched careers (long story) and let me tell you - teachers are truly amazing and dedicated professionals! It's WAY harder than it looks! Kudos to you!

I would love to have my 14yo son meet some kids on the cruise - but he says "mom, you know I hate meeting people" LOL So dont be surprised if he is not so friendly! My 16yo still keeps in touch with a few kids from our last cruise in 2010.

Just back from graduation-I'm not a senior, but half of my friends were! 1 week until we leave, 8 days until we sail!!!

Just bought a waterproof digital camera. So excited, hope I get some good shots when I'm snorkeling.

2 more days of school left, followed by a leadership retreat with leadership students (I'm a co-sponsor for the class of 2015) then finally the cruise

We are getting so excited!! Started filling the suitcases today!! Think we have made all of our purchases (dramimine, shoes for the kids, hats). I made journals for the kids and went to Staples Friday to bind them - they turned out pretty cute. Not sure what to do about my daughter on pirate night - she has a pirate dress from Halloween but her boots dont fit her anymore and they are a bit heavy anyway. Flip flops?

Love the logo - going to make a magnet out of it - if I find the time.

My daughter and I decorated some bags for the FE - I feel like ours is a little cheesey, because we ended up doing the lanyards but had a few teensey items, not sure it is worth it, but my daughter had fun with the bags and she is excited to walk around and drop them off, so we will go forward.

Okay, I was going crazy trying to remember where I got the image from. I put the top one on the facebook page to share and when I tried to give credit to who it was from I just had a brain freeze and couldn't remember

Well, we are leaving for Hartford Connecticut in a bit, spending the night and flying out at 7:30AM! We arrive in Orlando at 2:30PM! We are so excited!!!!

So I don't know when I will be able to post again but just in case..............................................

I will have internet in my hotel room once I am in Florida on Friday, and I will have my iPod. Don't know why that's important, but just in case we need last minute updates...maybe.

I can't wait to meet all of you, adults and teens alike! I'm sure you adults will find that I fit in with you MUCH better than I do with my peers, though

We're all packed! I have almost no clothes for the three days of school left before we fly out (last day is also our flight day!), but that's fine!!!
