June 26, 2011 5 Nights on the Disney Dream!!!!

party:***Lanyard meet on embarktion day at 3pm at the Vista Cafe on deck 4.
Look for the Lanyard logo on a big 8x10 sheet and also a green disboard Mickey Head so you can spot our group.

At that time My family and some of the lanyard team will pass out the lanyards to everyone.***

If you can't make it at that time I will deliver to your staterooms that evening. OK.:wizard:

We'll be wearing red shirts with Mickey ears bleached out on 'em. Mine is a Minnie because I used the Bleach Pen to make the bow, dots and all! :D

We are so excited! Last night we bought the materials to make the FE! Just waiting for April 12th so we can book everything and really hoping that what we want is still available!!!
Cool:thumbsup2
I'm not the crafty type so I bought my FE on ebay:cool2:

Don't panic if things are not available when you go to book.
There are options on the ship when you board (palo or spa).
If it is a particular excursion you want and it is not availble at 75 days out you can check back to see if there are cancelations or try to do them on your own (Nassau). Although you can't book anything at Castaway Cay on your own... I've heard the parasailing and jetskis book up fast there-so no option for those but to hope someone else cancels.

YAY:yay:
I'll be there early to help hand out:woohoo:
I can help with delivery if you wind up needing that too:thumbsup2

PRIVATE MIXOLOGY CLASS

Okay, I got a response from my Dreams Unlimited TA about a possible private mixology class(thank you Kelsie!!)

I spoke with Disney and they do offer this but you will need to send a fax to 407-566-7336 or an email to dclfunctionrequests@email.disney.com

The email needs to include the following:

Request: Private Mixology Class
Reservation numbers
Sail date
Number of guests
Contact information (yours)

They were not sure if there are a minimum number of people.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or requests.

So if you are interested send me a pm with the info above. I don't think there is any risk with the ressie number as no one can do anything with it without your passwords or personal ID.

I know they keep these classes small so if we have too many people interested they can break us up into 2 groups.

Don't feel like you have to be a big drinker to do these tastings. When I've gone in the past I'll only finish the drinks that I really like and just enjoy the lectures from the CMs and fun with other passengers:goodvibes I'm not sure of the cost for these classes but I remember the wine/martini tastings as $15 and I would think these would be about the same (maybe $20 at most).

Also let me know what your preferences are for days and times. I don't know if we'll have much choice, but it can't hurt to ask. I'm thinking sea day either late afternoon (avoiding brunch time) or evening so let me know if that works for you or not.

I am leaving later today to help chaperone my DS's high school band trip to Orlando and won't be back until Sunday. So you most likely won't hear from me until then. If someone wants to take this on and organize it be my guest or you can wait until I come back and I'll do it---just please include me in the list and I'll send you the ressie number when I get back.

We had private tastings on our Panama Canal cruise in 2008 and they were alot of fun. There was no prior payment for the classes but they had a list of names for people that signed up at the door and made sure that whoever showed up was on that list and the cost was charged to their stateroom at that time. There were some empty tables as some people changed their minds but they weren't charged for the tastings.

I just looked up what Justice was-We don't have any of those stores within an hour's drive so I didn't even know what it was! Even so, I don't think I'd shop there xD I'm not a name-brand kid, and I'm not a fan of stores like Aeropostale, Abercrombie, etc. I shop the $1.97 racks at J.C. Penney's :D

I'm concerned about style, just not brand names. For example, I picked up a couple of impressive batwing tops at JC Penney for $1.97 each...I like scoring while shopping! :)

I just took dd to Justice for the first time because the alternative is Juniors at Target or Walmart and we aren't ready for that :) Prior to this year we were all about Target and Walmart. I found 2 great disney tropical tees for her at Walmart for less than $2. I love finding deals too!!

Should have gotten up at midnight on Sunday, but had been travelling all day to get to Hilton Head DVC, Palo brunch was all gone at 7 a.m. :sad2: Don't want to do dinner.
Hope u can get the ressie u want when u board.

When we did this for our PC cruise in 2008 we wound up getting frustrated because DCL was not ready to organize this until much closer to the cruise date. Everybody kept asking when is this going to happen and DCL wound up not scheduling us until a few weeks before our cruise.

So I don't think there is a rush, but it couldn't hurt to email them early to let them know we are interested and see if there is a deadline or something:confused3

I don't think we need alot of people for one class. Maybe post on the main board to see what the maximum number was and more details on how they did the class:confused3

My party and I (a total of 4) are interested in joining in in the mixology course. :stir: :drinking1

I hope everyone received the updated copy of the FE list today. If you didn't, please let me know so I can get you one.
I think all the adults in my group would be interested in the mixology class. There are 8 of us.
So, the past few weeks have been pretty crazy around my house. We are going to WDW for 5 nights before the cruise. We ordered our tickets last week and signed up for one of the education programs. We finally purchased our airline tickets. We booked our transportation to and from the port. SUPER BUSY!! In addition, I have to go to a 5 day seminar in April in Indianapolis and a 3 day seminar in June in Maine. AND my parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary April 15th! My siblings and I are putting together a party for them on the 16th of April! I better start packing now! I still need to find pirate costumes! I am having such a hard time finding a decent one for me!! Plus, I am still hoping to loose a few more pounds before the trip! I have a feeling the next 102 days are going to FLY BY!!

We received ours. Thank you very much for all your time and effort on this, and to everyone that has put in including the Lanyards!!:cool1: We are so looking forward to seeing everyone.

I must say that everyone has been such a big help and eased some of our concerns about this being our first cruise. We are super excited!!:hyper:party::hyper:

I hope no one else joins the FE list. I've already ordered everything for them and I have enough for 24 families and everyone on the list that went out today.
pirate: It'll be a pirate theme to go with the cruise and my screen name and favorite pro-sports team.

Cool:thumbsup2

YAY:yay:
I'll be there early to help hand out:woohoo:
I can help with delivery if you wind up needing that too:thumbsup2

Yes I can use some help with that. Thank you.

No more additions to the FE list. I only have 3 extra lanyards incase one breaks.
2 days to go and we will be down to double digits count down under 100 days.:woohoo:

We are auditioning for Beauty and the Beast, which will go up a couple of weeks before the cruise. There's two publicity events in May, and prom in between. This Saturday and two weeks from now I am going to the state house for a Youth and Government conference, and the weekend in between is a choir competition. Not to mention the three more concerts we have to do and a trip to Boston...Lol!

99 is what my ticker says. Of course by the time most of y’all get a chance to read this, it will be even lower (and that… is a very good thing). :woohoo:

 Looking at my reservation it says 99 days until the cruise...is it 100 or 99 today?

And now it’s down to 98! :woohoo:

Yo brother… Glad to see a fellow cruiser join in on the silly fun over at the DisDads club. :thumbsup2
If there are any other fellow dads in this group who think they can live up to our stringent qualifying test :rolleyes1, just click the link in my Sig and head on over.

I Tripple-Dog-Dare you… :lmao:

And now it’s down to 98! :woohoo:

And now it's 97......I want to go NOW!!!

It's a beautiful sunny day today, we've had a lovely weekend, spent part of yesterday on the driving range and now my arms ache...yeah, it's been a while! Now we are waiting for the offspring and their fams to head over for our annual St. Patrick's Day dinner (can't do it during the week...gotta work for these cruises, ya know!)

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Are we there yet? The family spent some time on the FE exchange project this weekend. I would never have imagined my DH happy at the prospect of shopping for little "odds and ends" so to speak! He is absolutely fabulous and I am so excited to see HIM so excited!

Just three months.... now I just need to loose weight!!! I found a bathing suit (one piece) that I love!!! and a cover up that is really cute! Anyone have any good tips or recipes? I started the Special K diet this morning, that says 6 pounds in 2 weeks, so I hope I am successful! I also really enjoy working out with "The Biggest Loser" for the Wii. I want to get back to that as soon as I catch up with my homework (midterms right now) and I am sure that will help also!

Hope everyone has a great week! I'm off to do math... LOL :surfweb:

Well, we had a few 'Spring Like' days here but today------- another 8 inches of snow expected!:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1: Will this winter ever end!:headache::mad::confused3:headache::mad::confused3:headache::mad:
I need this vacation BAD!!!!

Glad to hear you guys are getting excited! While my DD and I have been 'unofficially' packing for quite some time we got the suitcases out this weekend, sorted through summer clothes, made lists of what we need and put some things away!
I, too am doing the diet thing! Only 3 months left! I need a miracle drug:rotfl2::rotfl2:
