From the looks of things, the folks at the Radisson might just as well paint the 10:00 shuttle a nice shade of DIS-Boards green.

How awesome would that be?!?!?

We have not booked hotels, air tickets, car ressies or anything yet so I will have to update everyone this week! We always go at least 3 days before but our last day of school is the 24th so we will either fly out after school or early sat. morning. We will have to spend our extra days after the cruise this year. Helps when its before the cruise to get on the 3 hour time difference!

Good morning! After a late night/early morning on the boards, I'm really feeling it this morning!

I've always started planning a year in advance when we booked onboard from our previous cruise. So I'm used to going overboard (between being a teacher and a scrapbooker, I get into the details)! But this is a little different cuz' this cruise hasn't been set into stone until now but it's reality now

If we were paid in full, I would have already booked Palo but we're not there yet! So within this week, we will have all of that taken care of.

I guess I better get going quickly. Although the time will go by fast, it sure does seem to go by slow in the midst of our excitement!! Anyone else excited?!?!?!?

Like I said, I'll work on trying to catch up and get my info to the correct person.

How many adults and kids do we have on the FE list already? I have always made special FE gifts so I have to get thinking We probably won't do the lanyard thing cuz' we will come up with something else. I found the lanyard..it's cool!! Since I haven't gotten back too many pages, what does Double Dip mean? Are the families participating in the lanyards all doing double dips? LUCKY! I sure wish we could double dip!!

Do we have a group sailing list of everyone?

The lanyards that were referred to are some of our FE gifts. A group of us purchased them for all of the FE participants and that is what we would have given you in your FE. Hope that makes sense...I'm reading it and not sure! I'm a bit fried around the edges today....need more coffee

And yes, we are getting excited as well!!!!

***Lanyard meet on embarktion day at 3pm at the Vista Cafe on deck 4.
Look for the Lanyard logo on a big 8x10 sheet and also a green disboard Mickey Head so you can spot our group.

At that time My family and some of the lanyard team will pass out the lanyards to everyone.***

If you can't make it at that time I will deliver to your staterooms in your FE's that evening. OK.

So it's three months as of today...and I would like you all to know that I spent the day at band and choir festival! Band got a B rating and choir got an A! Very nerve-racking because after our performances we were given pieces to sight-read and we had three minutes to figure them out

My husband has been on this board for a while and since we told the kids tonight about the cruise i figured I should get on here as well. The kids are really excited but i have a feeling that DH and i are a tad bit more excited. You all know DH as WestPalmBucsFan. The kids are DD16 who is a cheerleader and captain/QB of her High School Flag Football team, DSS16 plays football for his High School and DS10 in the 4th grade, plays tackle on the rec team in our hometown. DH and I actually run the rec program here and the cruise will come at the perfect time between the draft and practices actually starting---we will need the relaxing before the season kicks off.

I need to get my post count up so if you have any questions so I can answer.

Can't wait to see everyone in June!

Private Mixology Class​

Finally heard back from DCL about the required numbers for this class and was a bit surprised by their response.



I thought the class would be much smaller as the posts I had seen on this had said that you got to mix your own drinks.
I'm going to ask him to clarify whether this size class is just a lecture (with drinks handed out) or if it is hands on.

I'd prefer a hands on class if possible.

Anyway, at last count we only had 10 people (plus 4 maybes) interested. So we need alot more to hit the minimum number of 25.

Also, if someone is in concierge and is interested in this type of class, the concierge staff would probably be faster and more efficient in organizing this for us...so feel free to step in and let me know if interested
I could take the names and info and pass them on to you to pass on to concierge

Of course the drinking age is 21, so unfortunately our younger DIS members have to sit this one out

If this is the hands on class, I think we would be interested. I will let you know!

My daughter (8.5) is sitting with me now and starting to get excited! She said she likes your daughter already! She likes all3 of the Disney things you mentioned, was a Brownie (troop dismantled so we will rejoin in the fall) and she likes Rapunzel also. Michael Jackson all the way!

The FE sign up has been 'closed' per say and I was going to send out the final list on the first. We were just waiting for a few people to respond. I did hear back from on of the parties today and they are not going to be cruising with us so I think we can get you guys in. I email Tammye about the lanyards tonight and am just waiting to hear back from her and then will let you know for sure!
Thanks for the comment on the shirts! We are now tie-dye addicts! We are going to make a few more for the trip! I used the directions on the creative board- it was pretty easy. *Trace your mickey head *Bast stitch the mickey head with dental floss using very small stitches *Pull dental flight VERY tight and tie in a knot *Wash (do not dry) shirt *Tightly rubber band the mickey head at the base *swirl the shirt like a danish *Put on 3 rubber bands to make 6 wedges *put dye on mickey head *put dye on wedges *put in plastic bag for 8 hours minimum (we did 24) *undo rubber bands and floss *rinse in warm water *wash, dry, ENJOY! It would be great to get together to make some if it wasn't for an entire country between us (you in CA- me in NH)!!
My DD can not wait to meet all her new 'friends' on the cruise!

We told the kids about the cruise and they are getting very excited. The older ones should be setting up their Disboards accounts fairly soon.
THe youngest one (DSS 10) wanted to join but we told him there aren't that many kids his age on here with accounts but he can talk to his cruise friends using our accounts.

We are already booked for our excursion and palo. Other than brunch everything was wide open. I could have booked on the 13th but was away and just did it last week so my take on availability is fairly recent. Good luck! For anyone waffling about remy, book it if you can. It truly was a phenomenal meal and experience!!

We’ve been booked on this sailing since May of last year and we’re not telling him about it until his birthday in May of this year. Stingrays on the first CC day, mom's manicure on Nassau day, and parasailing for me and mom on the second CC day. I plan on booking a massage at Chill when we get onboard, so I can cross TWO things off of my bucket list...

Booking window opened by 12:02 and all I had to do was refresh the screen. Had no problem booking Remy dinner for Day 5 at 8:10pm plus Atlantis Aquaventure on Day 3, but there were no slots for a Swedish Massage onboard any day except early morning and late day.

Does anyone know if they hold back many of the midday timeslots for spa treatments? Interestingly enough, there were plenty of slots for the massage on CC which I thought was more in-demand.

I think they may hold back a few slots. Check as soon as you get onboard!

I stayed up and booked Sunday night, too! DD and I are doing the sea lion encounter in Nassau (DMom is going to observe). DSister and DNiece are parasailing 2nd Castaway Cay day. I wanted to do Palo brunch with my Mom but nothing available! BUMMER!!!

CSwan1 -- you and DD are going to love the sealion encounter (assume its at blue lagoon). My DD and I did it in January...it was cold!! They give you a wetsuit to wear and the interactions are a lot of fun. We ended up buying a few photos. the beach area looked nice, but it wasn't really beach weather when we were there!!!

We're doing the Atlantis Deep Water Dolphin Swim and Aquaventure thru Disney -- my DNC and her DSIL haven't been before, so this covers a lot of bases! I wanted to do the dolphin trainer (because you got to feed Sharks) but was overruled......

A few days off the boards and I missed pages I have started to make weekly trips to Michaels to use 40% off coupons to but things for the cruise - picture frame, markers, tshirts....makes it seem so much more real...getting very excited

ATTENTION ALL FISH EXTENDER PARTICIPANTS

On April 1, I will be making all final updated to the FE Spreadsheet. I know there are still a few people we are waiting for info on. I have sent out emails letting them know that the end of March is the last day to get me their info to be included in the exchange. On the 1st, or shortly after, I will send everyone the final list. After that, the only updates should be GTY room assignments and room changes. I am leaving for Disney on June 21st. I am thinking about putting a dry erase board on my door to my stateroom in case anyone has a room change after the 21st or at the port. What does everyone think? That way, if you are changing rooms, you can go to my door and make a note on the board. Then if a family is delivering and can not find you, they can go to my room and get the info. Sound good?

Sounds like a good idea - we actually got our assignment so I will get you our room number - I was hoping we might get an unexpected upgrade but nope

Hello everyone! We are booked on this cruise!! We are a family of 4...mom, dad, DD (8) and DD (5.9) from CA. This is our 5th disney cruise but our first on the Dream. A little nervous because we knew all we could know about the Magic, the shows, the food, etc and now we have a whole new boat to learn!!

I have a lot of reading to do!! It will take a little while but I will get to know y'all a little better! I haven't even seen my signature in a year and a half so I am really behind

I did skim a few pages back. I thought I read that April 1st is the cutoff for participating in FE? That's really early compared to my previous 4 cruises! Yikes! That's only in a few days!! Cruises don't have to be paid in full until April 12th so some might not join the boards until then. We have always made time-consuming hand made FE gifts so I understand that we can't have people join at the last minute! Maybe I didn't read it right....it's 3am. That's almost 3 months in advance so I could be completely off. Maybe it said May 1st (which is even early compared to my other cruises).

Like I said, have lots of catching up to do! Looking forward to getting to know you!!

Hi! My DD is 8.5 and plays club soccer. Reading...well.....she doesn't like it because her teacher mommy makes her do extra stuff!!

Maybe once I get my info to the correct person (I'm searching what info I have to send), we'll exchange names and info and hook the girls up? Now that they are older, it's great to have a friend onboard!
