When we arrived in Cozumel our verandah overlooked the dock and we had a great view of the celebrity ship right next to us. It looked like the suites were amazing! The ship was not nearly as pretty as the Magic though. Once again we did not have any excursions--could not agree and really just wanted a relaxing vacation so I don't feel we missed anything. Took Brandon to the pool early and then watched us dock. It's amazing how easily they maneuver that large ship when I can't even parallel park. We got off and shopped in Cozumel, but didn't buy anything. I felt some of the sales people were very pushy. In 1 or 2 shops tried very hard to get my son snd his friend to buy bongs and pipes, even after I spoke up the first time. I was glad when Brandon returned to the ship--too many explicit statues around. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe and my son got several souveniers and we had appetizers and headed back for the Fajita bar at lunch. All the lunch buffets had too many choices and I ate way more than I ever do. Good thing I always took the stairs or I wouldn't have fit into some of my clothes. The kids had special order banana splits from "Zoolander" for dessert. I swear he made dinner their favorite part of the cruise. Thought they would have Mexican food at dinner that night, but it was similar to tropical night on the Eastern. The whole family enjoyed Lilo and Stitch and then the deck party. Brandon went to the club for the PJ party and made a great Goofy pillow. The club never seemed too crowded , but I think they should plan a few more structured activities for the kids.
Our day at sea included family animation, pictionary,Captain's corner-where he said there is no third ship on order-they are still studying the market--boo hoo.-and bingo. Gary Delena was great, and Disney Dreams is my personal favorite. We went to family karaoke again, but it was way too crowded.I know a lot of people enjoy Fidelio and Carl, but we liked the sisters on last year's cruise better-just my opinion. The CM are funny at the disco night. whether they do or not-all the CM we came in contact with, except one, really put forth 200% and seemed to truly enjoy what they do.
Everyone seems to feel they would like Disney to expand on what is offered at Castaway Cay and spend 2 days there instead of another stop. The island is breathtaking! We did not get off as early as some--we actually docked and disembarked earlier than planned- but had no trouble getting a table in the shade and chairs in the water. The barbeque was good and the kids were excited to see Navneet working there. As always he paid special attention to them. They work such long, hard days it's amazing-all with no break for 6 months!! Went back and enjoyed the empty Goofy pool after lunch. Brandon did the Discover the Magic show. It was nice, but expected a little more from Disney. The kids do get a free tshirt for participating. At dinner, Zoolander brought us a cake that said congratulations from Zoolander , along with buttons and certificates for everyone. The farewell variety show was good except for Eric-as I said before. DCL do not ask him back. Til we meet again was a final chance to see all the characters and it was great for the kids.
Went to early breakfast just to see Glenn and Navneet and Zouhaier and then back to real life.

On the eastern itinerary, they have tropical night where they encourage you to dress in tropical attire. On Mexican night, do you dress in mexican dress or just tropical attire for dinner or neither?

How do the kids know how to make the towel animals? Did they disect them on the cruise and take notes or did your room steward give them a hand out on how to make them?

Tina

Most people had on tropical attire-a few Mexican. They took them apart to learn how themselves, but I believe they got some help from the room steward when they couldn't figure it out.

I forgot to mention the Character breakfast on Thurs. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy ,Pluto and Chip and Dale were there. The "show" is similar to that at chef mickey's. The ship photographer takes pictures and although it was nice they really rushed you through. We were in the first seating-8:15, so maybe the second group didn't have to be hurried through. We went to one of the autograph sessions in the atrium, about 5 characters at a table signing books, and this was quite rushed also. The pictures in the atrium each evening with the characters were not as bad, watch out for those who just cut in line and then say "oh, I didn't notice the 500 people waiting to se Mickey."
