June 22 2008 Magical Mexican Riviera Cruise

Yes, I have I just haven't printed it out yet. Was gonna do it today, but just got called in to sub. So I guess no DIS for me today! Have a great one! You know I will be checking in tonight!:cool1:

I filled out our documents and put our passports all together in the planning packet so I would have them all together. It will be nice to get our kit this weekend. It looked like everyone had jackets on leaving the other day. We are in Texas and its 88, do we need to plan for cooler weather on the day we leave LA?:cool1:

from Weather dot com here are the average temps for Los Angeles on June 2:

That doesn't sound bad then. We will probably be ready for a little cooler weather by then. Our trip doesn't seem to have as many diser's as other trips. I guess we will know our way around better. I can't believe how quickly time is flying. My daughter's last day of high school is Thursday even though graduation is not until next week. The last two weeks are pretty much just wrapping up the year. Counting the days in Texas.

Along the coast in Southern California, we have something called "June Gloom". It's not uncommon to have overcast skies near the coast in June. Sometimes, we shoot our 4th of July fireworks into fog !! But, as we travel south on the ship, it will dissipate. We'll be bringing light jackets for cool nights.

Here's a live thread from the current Mexican Riviera cruise at mousefancafe dot com.

"Uh Oh, It’s Magic!
May 27th, 2008 - by Joanne
Hello from the Magic! I’m on the first summer Mexican Riviera cruise upon this wonderful ship. After an extremely fun, but exhausting couple of days at Disney’s Grand Californian and Disneyland, I managed to get some rest and relaxation here at sea. As we’ve gone south, the temperature has been increasingly better. We started out in the 60s in California. We are having pleasant mid-80s today.

I’ve already had more than my share of food aboard and have subsequently hit the gym. I’ve danced; I’ve sung; I laughed until I cried. And now it is time for me to head into Cabo San Lucas.

My traveling companions and I are splitting up for the day. I’m doing the sedate Land’s End Coastal Cruise. I’ve got my hat, my sunblock and my adventure is about to begin. So until there are more stories to report, I bid you adios. Wish you were here!"

What fun, activity on our thread!! We are a small but mighty DIS group. I'm so happy to be able to share my excitement with you all. Thanks for the tip about the live report. I'm hoping we are going to get a lithograph by Don Williams too :yay:

I am sooooo tired of June gloom & ready for some Magical Fiesta!!! Back to obsessing tomorrow. In between laundry & my DD's swim lessons!:cloud9:

We got heavy frost last night. Covered the garden but I think it may have taken a hit another night. Twenty degrees below normal last night. I may have to replant the whole thing - Magic take me away :faint:

We'll I guess I can't complain about a little June gloom now.;) I am so sorry about your garden. Even here in CA. the weather has been a little off. 100 degrees one week & rainy & cold the next! I'm ready for a little or maybe a lot of Margarita Madness!!!!pixiedust:

I'm dreaming of sitting up on deck 9 with that welcome drink in the DCL glass!!!

More to add to my packing pile :goodvibes

Yeah! Our docs came today. Just one more week of school and my planning can move into doing...it's time to get things ready!

I am impressed! I haven't even started working on me yet!!! I am trying to get DD taken care of 1st since she has the most clothes & the least to buy! Then it's DS's turn, then me! DH is on his own!;) I crossed things off my list today, but it still looks long!:scared1: I keep calling my DSIL & we are giddy giddy :dance3: for this trip! Where did you get your dress? Where are the deals? I hate running around, it is a big waste of time!!!:hourglass Glad that I am not the only one a little, well maybe a lot, excited!:yay:
