Hello, June WDW crew! I love reading about everyone's plans, it adds my enthusiasm about our trip!So many of our friends just don't get the
of Disney. To nvsnot: we always enjoy our days at Downtown Disney (since we live kinda close we sometimes go just for the day as there's no admission!), T-Rex & Rainforest Cafe are the kids' favorites & I love that they get appetizers to share rather than the somewhat overpriced meals. My DH is a sucker for Wolfgang Puck's Express.
Welcome! Thanks for joining us. I added you to our roll call on page 11, but I didn't know where you would be staying. IF you want to let me know, I will add it to the list. We also have an ADR list on page 11 IF you are interested.
We will be at CBR - our normal home in WDW
Here are my ADRs
June 11 LTT 5:20 pm
June 12 Chef Mickey 5:10 pm
June 13 50s PT 4:45 pm
June 14 Tusker House 8:05 am
June 14 LeCellier 4:45 pm
June 15 La Hacienda 5:00 pm
June 17 Lunch with Imagineer HDB 11:30 am:
June 18 Crystal Palace 8:05 am
Still trying to book the Tommorrowland Dessert Party for our trip![]()
I added everything to page 11. I have always wanted to try the Dessert party...with the kids though, I just didn't know if it would be too late for them.
We are actively planning our June trip! It is a celebration trip for my DD's graduation, My DH & I are celebrating 20 years of marriage and the trip also falls on my DS's 11th birthday!! Taking Grandparents - Gma has never been and Gpa was there during the summer of the original opening!! This is going to be great! We have a countdown chain hanging in our livingroom.![]()
Sounds like a lot to celebrate and a lot of fun!Let us know when you firm up plans. We would love to hear the details.
We keep going back and forth about adding one more day. Last year we went for 11 days and although we are going for 8 this time around (which is great), I feel like I am missing out on something. My husband keeps saying to do whatever I want. I should be excited and want to rush to book another day, but I am not sure what I want to do. We love try new resorts so this might be a great opportunity. We already have one day booked at POFQ at the end of our trip. I haven't been there since the 90 when they were still FQ and Dixie Landing and FQ still had a TS restaurant. It will be fun to try something new and the refurb will be done by then so it should be fun.
Maybe we will do it then. I will just have to convince my husband that it's a good idea.
We are headed down in June too!!! I just made my ticker today and it just doesn't seem to far away now!!! I haven't read the whole thread, but we are staying at POP from the 7th-14th.
Cindy-rella,I love my ticker. It gives me something to look at each day. I love counting down the days until we go, but at the same time I don't like to wish them away because then it means the trip will be here and over before I know it.
My aunt mentioned trying to find a buffet in Downtown Disney or wherever as our group will probably be starving by the time we get settled into our villa.
Would you or anyone reading happen to know where we could go for a good buffet. We're from the South and love homestyle cooking! Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and things of that nature would be up our alley!!!
Thanks in advance!
I don't think there are any buffets at Downtown Disney. If you have a car I think there is a Sizzler and a Ponderosa kind of closeby, but I don't know how good they'd be! I've also heard really good things about the Trail's End Buffet at Fort Wilderness. Apparently it's pretty good food at a reasonable (at least for Disney) price. And there's fun stuff to look at in the area/
Wow getting busy in here now
Can I make suggestion? Are any of the posters that posted on the 1st page still posting? Could 1 of you edit your post with a link to pg.11? Or perhaps if they aren't someone could pm them with a request. I noticed that 1 of them was a moderator, maybe they would be so kind as to oblige?
The list is getting buried deeper by the day
Just a thought![]()
Okay, i've added two more ADR's...
June 7th (Arrival Day): T-Rex Cafe (Downtown Disney) - 6:00 p.m.
June 13th (Final Night): Rainforest Cafe (Downtown Disney) - 6:00 p.m.
Now, that should be it as far as ADR's; we don't want to over schedule.
I'm a little late for the party...well, better late then never...
We are staying at POR for 11 nights in June.I absolutely can't wait!!!
18 hours is long, but I was thinking it would be longer. Our drive is about 14 1/2 hours and that is long enough for me. I don't think I could make it too much longer than that.
I understand the long drives. Takes about 26 hours driving with the RV. Going to be the first time with the motorhome to WDW though. Should be a better drive, not so many stops. Big gas tank, a Bathroom and fridge on board....hahahaha
We borrowed sister in law's RV for our first family trip at WDW and loved it! Staying at Fort Wilderness was so relaxing!! Enjoy!![]()
