June 2011!!

Ha! After leaving my middle school assignment, I taught at the preschool level and LOVED it! I'm now teaching in early intervention (birth-3) and officially have my dream job. In all fairness to the middle schoolers, I was teaching in a self-contained, center-based school for kids with emotional disturbance. Not exactly a fair representation of the middle school population as a whole.

Yeah, ED kids are a different population. lol. I can say middle schoolers are very unique, but I love how they become such individuals during this time. They are very hormonal though. LOL. I am so glad that you work with little ones. I think it takes such dedication and patience to teach them and they learn so much at that age.

Officially 5 months until our trip! :D!!!!!!!!!!

And with teacher talk...I'm student teaching this semester in K-5 general music. I got to teach the full day yesterday and it went pretty well! You've got to be patient with the Kindergartners, but I really do like them. I think my favorite grades are 2-3 though. =]

Tom LOVES that age. He says the same thing about me. I am a school-based Speech Pathologist serving Pre-K-5th grade. He says there is NO WAY he could do what I do. I say the same to him. He's so patient and kind and really seems to have a way with them. Funny enough we have a 3 year old and he says they're not much different from her. :lmao: Dealing with independence issues and defiance. :)

My husband and I are both middle school teachers. we can't get away from them. My cousin/ son's godmother is a speech pathologist too and she has the most wonderful patience for my children as well as the little ones so works with each day. I just got certified to teach Preschool and kindergarten, but it's more for the credentials than anything. I always thought that I would love to do at home daycare, but I don't think I could stand losing my summer's off. It's too nice.

Yay for only 5 more months! :yay::yay::yay:

I too am a middle school teacher...7th grade math. I do feel crazy some days!
It is a great age though:)

Interesting turn of event in the Kleinberg house:

Back story: My DH just graduated in December with his BS in Middle Grades Education (Math and Social Studies). Since the economy has TANKED over the past year or so, teaching positions in Georgia are few and far between. Well.......... He actually had a job interview on Thursday!!!!!! And it went WELL!!! Fingers and toes crossed! We'll know something either MOnday or Tuesday.

BUT.............................he'll still be working until June 1st. Wait!!! Our WDW vacation begins on June 1st!!! So, we'll either have to cut our trip short or try to move some days to the end. Sigh....... of course Le Cellier is now booked for the entire week and we have ressies there on June 1st. BUT....if he gets this job then we'll be able to vacation more and possible even buy in to DVC. Soooo....I'll get over it and adjust my touring plan.

It's such a great touring plan too.......

So can you all please send up your thoughts or prayers (if you do) for Tom in GA to get the job at Renaissance Middle School??? Thanks guys!

Best of luck.. will be thinking about all of you

just adding our oldest DD is in college new studying to be a special education teacher early childhood thru grade 4 :)

Teaching is NOT a job - it is a calling!

So my husband let it slip tonight at dinner that my father in law is planning a Disney World trip for June 11-17 :woohoo:. We would fly down because i have never flew and i really want to. So i am really excited now that i may be going in June again. My husband didn't want to go this year and said that we can go next year, but since his dad is wanting all of us to go he has agreed to go.

I am so doing a happy dance right now!:banana:

its official my father in law has booked the family Disney vacation:yay:. We will be there June 12-18. We are driving instead of flying for a few reasons. But i am so excited that i get to go to disney again!!!!

yay for you. That is great.:banana: I updated your information on page 11 for our roll call. We drive also. I just think it's so much easier and it's cheaper for our family. We don't mind doing it and we like having our car with us when we are in Disney. It makes traveling with LO way easier.

We've decided to drive, too. Unless flights come way down prior to our trip, that's the plan. We've made the drive before so it's not awful. We'll leave around bed time and drive through the night. We are arriving a day early and will spend the day recuperating not far from DH's sister's house. The plan is to get up early on the morning of check in, go tothe hotel and them straight to the parks.

We do the same thing. We leave just before bedtime for the kids and drive through the night. That way they sleep all night and do not complain about being in the car and then when they wake up, we are not far from Disney. We eat breakfast and then continue to the hotel. The kids are little but they have been really well behaved in the car each time which is nice for us. Hopefully this year will be the same.

What day are you leaving? We might see you on the way down! LOL. We've been to WDW 3 times since 2006 and we've driven each time. I would love to fly but like the PP, unless the prices come way down, we'll stick with driving.

We leave on the 23rd and get there on the 24th.

Wow, you're driving straight through! We'll probably leave the same night but will check in to a motel across from the gates late on the 24th and then check in to AKL early on the 25th.

Ok, DH took a look at my spreadsheet and wanted me to tweak a few things....:headache: so ADR's have changed.

I don't plan on changing these again...unless Disney changes the park hours (which is a possibility but hopefully it will remain).

Saturday, 6/25 - Check-in to Jambo 1 BR Club Level (enjoy the free, but not really free, food for the rest of the night:rolleyes1).

Sunday, 6/26 - Sunrise Safari @ 7:00 AM.

Monday, 6/27 - O'Hana @ 10:00 AM

Yeah...we're hard core! LOL. It's just easier for us to do that with the little ones. We take turns driving at night so we each get to sleep a few hours. It's really not that bad.

Hello everyone, we are also going in june for three weeks  cant wait to be in the sun .

Wow! Three whole weeks huh? That is great! I wish we could afford to go for that long. Welcome to our group!

I think I have everything right. If I messed anything up, just let me know and I will fix it.
