June 2011!!

Yeah...we're hard core! LOL. It's just easier for us to do that with the little ones. We take turns driving at night so we each get to sleep a few hours. It's really not that bad.

This is exactly how we do it, too. The baby has not been a great traveler in the past. He usually gets pretty ticked by hour three on our trips to Pittsburgh. I'm hoping that he'll do better overnight. Could make for a long 16 hour drive. We've only ever flown to Disney with him before.

June sure is looking busy! To all you teachers::worship: Thank you! I'm the mother of 4 school-age kids (my oldest will enter her senior year in HS fall 2011, when my youngest starts kindergarten, so I have the whole spectrum) & totally appreciate a good teacher! All of the kids are SO excited:woohoo: about going to WDW in June. We haven't been in about 5 years, although we live only 90 minutes away. It will be my DS's first trip. The Disney vacay's are my favorites because everyone seems to relax & enjoy everything..and we get DDP & I DON'T HAVE TO COOK!

We booked our flights today with Southwest Airlines :woohoo:. Booking the flight made our vacation seem official to me. Next week we're going to begin making our dining reservations once we figure out where we'd like to eat:cheer2:!

Congrats! And booking ADRs are so much fun. Let me know when you've made them and I will add them to our list if you want me to.

We'll be there in June, too! :)

Driving down from MI, and we'll be at Royale Parc Suites from 6/18-6/24. :woohoo:

Welcome. Wow! How long is that drive or does it just seem really long to me? I will add you to our roll call list on page 11.

Thank you! :)

It is a long drive (a little over 18 hours). We usually stop around GA and spend a night. I wish I could drive all the way through, but I'd never make it!

Will do! We won't be making very many ADR's as we don't want to plan our schedule around making dining reservations, but we are looking to book a few. We'll mostly be doing quick service dining and some cooking in our room.

18 hours is long, but I was thinking it would be longer. Our drive is about 14 1/2 hours and that is long enough for me. I don't think I could make it too much longer than that.

That's fine. I competely understand not letting ADRs rule your schedule. We do breakfasts in our room for the most part except two breakfasts. We like having the kitchen in our villa for that very reason.

I understand the long drives. Takes about 26 hours driving with the RV. Going to be the first time with the motorhome to WDW though. Should be a better drive, not so many stops. Big gas tank, a Bathroom and fridge on board....hahahaha

I have always wanted to rent an rv to do Disney. Maybe on our next trip. I think I would need at least 10 days of vacation for it though. My kids have seen the pics of Ft. Wilderness and loved it.

We like Ft. Wilderness too. We have never camped there, but we like the cabins and the overall atmosphere. It was a lot of fun to cook on the porch of the cabin and my kids loved that it looked like a swamp between each cabin.

I can't believe we actually got a two hour delay for school this morning. All I know is that the kids are going to be off the walls today. Snow= hard day of teaching. I just wish we would get real snow this year, but I guess last year with snow day after snow day it's someone else's turn.

We got hit hard here in Georgia. We've been out all week with no hope of thawing out until the weekend. I don't know how we're going to make all these days up. This is day 6 for my district. Sigh..... hopefully my beginning of June trip the World is not in jeopardy because of snow.... :confused3

Booked last week for June 11-18 - had already booked for August but NEEDED to go sooner. All ADRs are made just waiting now to see if they offer the Wishes Firework Dessert Party for June - we did it last year and had a fabulous time.

I've booked 2 ADRs so far for my trip June 7-14 !!!

June 8 (2nd day/1st full day): Breakfast at Tusker House @ 8:15 p.m.

June 12 (6th day) Dinner at the Coral Reef Restaurant @ 5:40 p.m.

We may add 1 or 2 more. We're looking into booking a dinner reservation in Downtown Disney for our very first night since we won't be going to any theme parks due to our late arrival that day.

I know. It's been such a strange change of events. We have a lot of family in SC (Mrytle Beach area) and they have had a lot of snow. It was even snowing for Christmas which they were thrilled about.

I am sorry that you guys have taken 6 snow days so far. That is rough. We haven't had any yet which is strange for us. We have 5 built into our school calendar which is nice. Last year we went over, but because we were under a state of emergency so many times, we got a state waiver and didn't make any of them up. It was really nice.

Sounds good. :thumbsup2 We love both places. I added you to the list on page 11.

When I started to plan this June trip I was assuming that my 17 yr old would not be joining us. The boyfriend will be home from college and did not think she would want to be away that long...anyway....I told her I was ready to book (was going to rent points at a studio in AKL) and she needed to let me know if she wanted to go.....well....lo and behold he will be running a theater camp for the same time frame...sooooo that makes us a family of 5 again. I have spent hours searching on the internet (1 bdrm and 2 bdrm on property are out of my budget) and secured an awesome rate at Bonnet Creek! It looks awesome. It has 2 bdrm/2 bths....perfect for us!

So our official plan is June 13 - 20 at Bonnet Creek! Very excited!
