June 2010-- When can you make your reservations using the Disney website?

I'm planning a trip for early June 2010 and was wondering when I'll be able to use Waltdisneyworld.com and their vacation package tool to make my plans. Currently, it says you may only make plans for trips through December 2009.

Does anybody know when I can start the planning process for the vacation package? This is my first Disney trip sans-parents (I'm going with a friend of mine, a Disney virgin if you can believe it! ) and I'm very anxious to make the plans. I know I can probably just call them and make reservations, but I really would like to do it online.

If you called now you would only be able to book the room and pay the equivalent of 1 night at the current rate as a deposit. The rates for 2010 will be out in early to mid august, if past years are any indication. At that point you'd be able to book the resort, tickets, dining, etc.

I am also waiting for the numbers so I can decide when I want to head down again.

Use the next couple of weeks to dream/fantasize about everything Disney. That's what I'm doing.
