I've not been on in awhile and have not had time to catch up...is there a meet during our cruise??

I have not posted much...but I am now getting very excited for this cruise. I am missyoh's twin sister maryoh and am very much looking forward to this vacation.

I would like to know if anyone is taking an excursion on their own in Tortola? What beach are you going to and what are your plans of transportation?

Lisa, we're having a quick initial gathering at 3PM on Saturday in the Promenade Lounge, Deck 3.

ibmickey was kind enough to make a logo for us, "The Magic of Tortola". It's located downthread. Also, we have a Facebook group available ("The Magic of Tortola Gang"), should you wish to see some of us...this way we can spot each other much easier.

We look forward to meeting up with you!

We will be leaving here Tuesday morning (7am). I was put on call tonight so I am on this board. I have made Mickey heads (thanks home depot) for the four of us to have on our bags, I hope this will help identify us.

We are staying Friday night at the Raddison and taking the shuttle so we should not have a trafic problem. Wouldn't it be cool if we got to see the shuttle lift off while we were pulling out of port.

Well I geuss I had better get to work on the things I still need to do (like packing). Magie

Hi. My name is Dianna and my family will be on the Magic on June 20th. I should have been on here sooner to get to know everyone but I've been totally overwhelmed with my daughters senior year and everthing else that has taken place. We are having to drive this year and I'm excited but dreading it at the same time. It will be my DH, DD173/4, DS13, and DD's boyfriend. I know that we have rooms on the 2nd floor. I hope I get to meet some of you while on the cruise. The last cruise we did, I had met many people through the disboards and it was fun talking to a variety of folks from different places. I need to get off this computer and start packing. It usually takes me a couple of weeks to pack, but know I have less than 4 days. Gotta go for now, and try to start packing. Everybody be safe.

I haven't started packing either. We leave for WDW on Thur. My DH and DS13 will be meeting up with my brother and his family at BWV and then off to the ship on Sat. We are on Deck 6. Hope to meet up with some of you.

Hi!

I'm sorry I haven't posted. I've been swamped w/ end of the school year stuff, band fieldtrip from heck ALL day Monday, son's b-day party Tuesday, baseball games EVERY night, friend's son's b-day party that I helped at, taught 8hr traffic school Saturday & so much more I can't even remember.

Today was my 1st day to really start getting ready. We bought some new luggage at the Container Store. Our old luggage weighs TOO much. We got Eagle Creek luggage & organizers so I'm going to hopefully pack a lot more into less space.

I've lost 10-15lbs in prep for the cruise.

I agree about the AP dessert menu, but lots of other things look great. DS Liam 12 is really looking forward to the lobster mac n' cheese.

I got a new camera & video camera on Thursday! We'll be at the port early. I'll be the woman w/ the Nikon D60 taking a million photos & constantly looking at them as a I try to learn how to use DSLR. I don't do facebook b/c I don't want my students ever viewing & reading anything I'd create. I teach h.s.

I'm going to try to learn how make a door magnet from the awesome group logo.

I'll try to remember to pick up some green mickey heads.

I've got to finish my FE gifts!!!!!!! I bought a cheap FE on Ebay for less than $10 so no sewing for me. It's got Chip & Dale.

I'm sooo nervous. The clothes are ready to go into the suitcases. Time is speeding up & I need it to slow down a little. We leave Wed. We'll be at Beach Club Villas.

Space Shuttle is supposed to launch Wed afternoon. Does anyone know a good possible vantage point from WDW?

DH Scott wants to know if the Okies coming will hold it against him that he was born in NE & is hard-core Cornhusker fan.

I can't wait to meet everyone. Does anyone want to try to get a group together to do anything else? Afternoon tea at Palo, wine tasting, etc. Another meeting on Sunday in the Promenade???

Sorry again I've been so out of touch! I'm so psyched to get to know you guys onboard. I hope the kids hit it off too.

I'm a first time cruiser and poster to the thread. I have been enjoying reading everyone's stories and tips for about a month, but have been apprehensive to post.

My family is very excited about our first Disney cruise. Besides my DW and myself, we are bringing along two DS (16 and 9).

We are camping out on Deck 7, and are hoping to join up with everyone on Saturday at 3.

Is anyone parasailing on their own excursion in St.Thomas?

Also, does anyone now if you wear your pirate garb to dinner and the party?

Based on what I've seen in the past, I think you'll see plenty of people wearing their pirate garb to dinner and then on to the Pirates IN the Caribbean deck party. So do it up! You'll be in good company!

We will be leaving in just about 9 hours. I finally finished packing (just need to find my shoe). to the new members of the group. I know you will have a great time. Hey not everyone can be an Okie without rivals games wouldn't be much fun. I think it would be nice to have a group for High Tea, or maybe the Margarita tasting, I found that I don't like martinis at all. Michelle has done most of the planning on this trip ( I have done the paying), so I am not just sure what we will be doing when. I do no that we will be at Bomba for dinner tomorrow night. I am really looking forward to that. We have never tried to do the parks in the summer before I hope we will not be too disappointed with the crowds not to mention the heat. I know that Caitlin is looking forward to being able to ride any ride she wants as she is now tall enough. We will see on Wednesday.

WE leave for our flight in 3 1/2 hours, YIKES!! But I am so excited I can't sleep. It's like that commercial. We are all packed. One thing I did this time was I used gallon size baggies to pack things in, such as one for meds, power cords, shampoos, ect. This way I can just take the bag out instead of ruffling thru my bag.

I haven't made our magnets for our door yet, but I will on the plane. I can't wait!!!!!!! See you all on Sat. at 3. Oh, and I am bad with names and I forgot to print up a list of everyone.

Maybe if we're lucky someone will bring some name tags. I can be terrible w/ names too, but looking forward to meeting everyone.

I'll bring the list of times for tastings & see if we can get some people together for a tasting . There are sooo many--this may be harder to organize, but we can try. We could also just pick another time for a DIS meet, such as on Deck 10 near the bar that isn't always open. People could still keep an eye on kids while relaxing a little.

DH doesn't really want to do to tea w/ me. I love any excuse to go to Palo.

How about Monday for for High Tea???

Just think about it & I'll take names on Saturday & then talk to PJ at Palo to see if we can get a big table or the special room.
