To all those doing Palermo on your own . . .

Anyone planning to go to Mondello beach? We were thinking that we'd do a quickie city tour and then head to Mondello beach for the rest of the day. I'm wondering if anyone else is planning to go. Doesn't look too far from the port.

Hello! Count us in for the gift exchange. Might not be too exciting as we are leaving in JUST 10 DAYS!! So... does this mean we should bring those fish holder thingamajigs that they talk about on the other threads? Or - should we just do a person-to-person exchange? Either is fine with me.

We are doing Palermo on our own, too. Can we just walk there from the port, , or do we have to take a taxi? It would be great to hook up with others not on an excursion. Let's talk at the meet and greet on Sunday.

To get to Mondello, we'd have to take a cab or public bus - don't think its that far though. The entire Mondello area looks great - shops, restaurants, etc. The DCL excursion just isn't long enough for me. We'll talk more later.

Ok, here's the deal.
Everyone who wants to participate will bring a small trinket from home for each "disname" that wants in. Not each person, just each "disser". I think it should be something that represents where you're from, but really it could be anything you like. Spend as much or as little as you like too, but lets be real..those credit card bills will arrive soon after the trip so use your best judgement. Don't worry if it's hokey or silly. The point is to bring something the each of us will remember YOU for.

So far we have the following participants:
Auntsue1, Taysmom, Disneyloverlinda, Purtypat1, OHLawyer2, Worktoplay, Princessjasmine, Vtiffany, Lisatex and maybe pillow (wasn't sure if that was a yes or a no)

We can exchange anytime or leave them at each others doors or ?? I don't know, but we'll find a place. Maybe even the last sea day as a goodbye to each other. I'm sure we could find a place to meet then.

Lisatex leaves on June 7th, so we should change the last day to participate and make it June 3rd.

Alrighty, just another thing to pack, but it'll be fun. Now...who was working on those bracelets? I think I need to bring some money for those..or are they not happening? Someone refresh, please don't make me read back.

Wow Marie and Leilani, y'all had good memories made this last weekend My DS wanted none of that, just wanted to go to WDW for graduation.

We are BAD--we are adding excursions still. We just added the perfume one for DMIL and I, and the guys are going to see the Prince of Monaco's cars Tried to get one in Palermo but they don't have one for what we want, so it is on our own! Still don't have one for Olbia

Trying to find out more info from the first cruise but cannot seem to find the link. According to the weather for Italy it was to be very windy in Napes today so hope all is going well.

At last after 2 days and nights it had stopped raining but is still very cold for the time of year.

British Airways plans to meet the Advance Passenger Information (API) requirements of the Spanish authorities from 13 June 2007.


More information
This is the first enforcement of its kind on European routes and means that all airlines, including British Airways, will be required to collect specific information from every passenger travelling to Spain. This information is compulsory and is required for the purposes of ensuring aviation safety and security.

Below is a list of the information required:

· Full given names
· Surname
· Nationality
· Date of birth
· Travel document number e.g. passport number
