Hi! We are going on this cruise too -- so happy to have found this thread!! It's the 3 of us -- me (Bev), DH Gary, & DS Dylan, age 15.

Sounds like you have lots & lots of plans so far & I don't know if I'll ever catch up, but just wanted to subscribe to this & hope to get to see some of you on the cruise. I haven't posted here for ages too, so don't really even remember how to do it very well..... But thanks for all of the great tips I've read so far & I'll keep going back -- wow, so many pages of interesting stuff for our cruise!!!!

ICUceleste...took the circumvensia train from naples to sorrento. Said it was easy and under 10euro for a round trip ticket per person.
She said just no problems with people either. Her podcasts are great. I recommend listening to them. I commented on her blog, hoping to get some clarification on the VAT she stated. DCL CM said there are no additional taxes..so whats the deal?

I don't know if you've read back through all the pages, but we lucked out and got the Roy Suite for this cruise so we are hosting a DIS meet and greet in the Suite on the first sea day. Everyone is welcome so if you and your family would like to join us just let me know. I am keeping a list with everyone's cabin numbers because I plan to send out a reminder on the 16th.

Also, I am trying to put together a list with all the information for everyone such as when you are arriving in Barcelona and what excursions you are planning on doing. This way we can see who is going on the same excursions so we can look for each other. On page 115 there is a list of questions if you want to look at them.

It's a bummer the cruise is not in August. We are from Iowa and I thought an ear of corn would be perfect! But alas, they don't harvest until late July/early August.

I was reading the Schiffy blog tonite, & it seems that the pulic restrooms they visited today were lacking toilet paper. I guess it's the nurse in me, but I found little rolls of toilet paper that I'm taking with me. According to Schiffy, this lack of toilet paper was a big topic of discussion.

There seems to be an abundance of 12 year old girls....do we have many 12 year old boys?

About the gifts....is it one per stateroom...are there more than one family is some staterooms? I just want to make sure I bring enough!

Seems that most of Europe are having this very unpredictable weather we are getting in England at present. Good job it has plenty of time to improve before we set sail.

Seems many people who visited Euro Disney did not find it up to the standard of America - that I think is why it is always half empty and they cannot get people to go.
