June 15, 2012 - 2 Night Getaway on the Disney Magic from NYC!

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel this cruise. DH works for American Airlines and it appears he will be part of the downsizing (and that's with 16+ years of service). Wish we could make it work, however, the date appears to coincide with the end of work for him and we just don't want to take the chance.

Enjoy your trip!!!

I am so sorry to hear about your husband I hope everything works out for you guys. :sad2:

well - they are calling it a cruise to nowhere...so I guess we are going no where :rotfl::rotfl:

:rotfl2::thumbsup2:rotfl2:

I have heard last year's western cruises to nowhere had us at the same restaurant both nights, and I wonder about the shows. How about Palo? Since it's a day at sea, will brunch be available? My roommate is a Gold club member so we can reserve earlier than with my Silver. I guess I'm so used to memorizing my intinerary ahead of time, I just want to know for this one too!

good luck - you are off this FE list also, sorry you can't sail, but we understand!

not a clue...this one is a first for me. We are doing it as a B2B since if we were not I would just bring a change of clothing in a duffel bag :rotfl2::rotfl2:

looking forward to a nice weekend on the Magic, going nowhere. Just me and husband, celebrating my birthday. Glad that we can easily travel from NJ to NYC for this cruise.

if you want to join the FE exchange - then PM me the information listed on the google doc (link in my signature)

Welcome aboard!! I agree about the drive is SO much easier than flying. At least I can FINALLY bring more luggage than my traveling buddy Michael (He had 5 bags last I sailed out of FL with him :rotfl:)

As of today - we have:
4 cabins
10 adults
0 kids :confused3

not sure what we finally decided for a cutoff - 30, 45, or 60 days:
30 days = May 15
45 days = April 30
60 days = April 15

comments???

Disney's policy for everything is always 45 days so why not stick with what we're all used to?

I'm cool with 45 or 30. Kinda hoping if wait more people might wanna jump on the FE bandwagon since we have a small group.

I hope so! Right now it is a very short list! As the cruise gets closer folks may stop lurking (or might find us!!)

haven't posted on this thread much. I will post more soon I promise. I have a 3 night cruise tomorrow on the Dream, so have been posting on that thread and then a 7 night on the Fantasy in April so posting on that thread as well. Try keeping up with three threads, it's hard:lmao:. I will try to post more after I get back from this trip:cool1:

Tell me about it...I am trying to keep up with 5 - the Fantasy Maiden isn't nearly as active as the Wonder Hawaii thread - that one posts about 15 pages in 3 days :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Enjoy your time on the Dream and Fantasy!! We aren't going anywhere (yet!)

The 120 day window is open - managed to get all three Palo's - (I am GOING to hate myself for this one)

Times I saw:
Day 1:
Palo dinner 6p, 7p, 8:30p

Day 2:
Palo Brunch: 10:30; 11:30
Palo Tea: 3p
Palo Dinner: 6p; 7p

No other excursions were offered at all.

Good deal! So, they let you book multiple PALO dinners? Is that a Platinum perk I was unaware of? Thought you could only pre-book one dinner per cruise.:confused3
This will be my first booking time as Gold, hoping for just one dinner, and the Brunch.
And what, no excursions - DCL missing a chance at a revenue stream? They could offer ones like "A Visit to the Ambrose Light Tower", or "Viewing Coney Island From Sea at Night"?:lmao:

We're concierge and we were able to book more than one Palo meal...don't know if there's a limit if they're available. Very funny with the excursions...gonna be kind of weird not getting off the ship.:)

I have to wait March 17 to book my Palo res :( I think I'm going to try for the second night.

I love sailing out of NY and watching the city go by. From the looks of the 'itinerary' we're sailing a huge loop toward VA/NC!

We were thinking about booking Palo this time around as well.

I am hoping for a TA rate to be released for this sailing...:):thumbsup2
