I was wondering...how did people here book their cruise?

I went directly to the DCL website. Anyone use Dreams U, Costco, AAA or any other cruise booking service?

I was wondering where was the best place to book...

Because I booked at the last minute and have gone in debt just to go:rolleyes1. I used Dream Unlimited because they gave me a $175 ship board credit. However, normally I would prefer to book directly through Disney since you have more control over your reservation. When I want to change something I can just pick up the phone and call them directly. When you use DU you have to email them your requests and wait for them to get back to you. I tried calling DU a couple of times and it just said to send them a email. Call me old fashion but I really do like talking to people. I will not be switching my Nov reservation over the them, I don't think it's worth the $175 ship board credit to not have control of your reservation.

Amen on that one!

Interesting. I was looking on DU, Costco and 1 other. Prices vary alittle and I though the shipboard credit might be worth it, but it looks like the best is to book on board or directly on the DCL site.

There were so many sites selling DC's...I didn't know who to trust. Also, booking so far in advance, things do change so I would like the ability to make changes to a cruise easily.

Hi Everyone. This is off topic but I am in need of some help.

I have just spent the last 2 days designing a website for my DD. It is finally complete. When I view it on my computer everything is how it should be. When my friend views it on her computer one of the pages is messed up.

I was wondering if anyone could go to this site for me and tell me how it looks on their browser. The page in question is the resume page. On mine it is lined up perfectly, on hers the resume itself covers part of the picture on the page.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can take a second and let me know how it looks on their browser.

THANKS!!!!!!!

UGH! This is so frustrating....some people say it is covering the pic, some people say it is too far right, and some just right.....I feel like goldielocks right now, haha

I want the resume to be a flash but it does not seem like it is going to work.

If anyone out there knows dreamweaver and flash and would not mind me picking their brain please let me know.

THANKS!

One week from today we're heading to California! This week it's packing time! I think I also need to shop a bit for the kids.

Hiw many suitcases is everyone bringing on board? There are 6 of us and the one with the most stuff is 18 months old! Do you guys think DCL has cribs or should I bring my portable crib?

We are bringing one suitcase per person, plus a garment bag for formal wear and our daybags. In addition, we are going to try the trick I read here on the boards and slap one of our luggage tags on a case of Corona. Do you guys think that's really true that you can do that? I figure it's worth a try...worst case scenario is that I'm out a case of Corona.

One other question: I haven't done enough research about paying for things in Mexico. My understanding is that American dollars are widely accepted, but I'm worried about screwing up the exchange rate and getting fleeced. Anybody have experience or tips to share?

I don't know about the portable crib. I'm fairly certain, though, that DSIL used one of DCL's, but I could be mistaken.

We are leaving Tuesday!!!! HOLY COW!!!!!!! It's really here!!

We requested a crib when booking. I called and confirmed they will have one in our cabin.

Call the DCL number and request one. I'm sure they will have one available.

Now that our 2 year olds birthday party is over we can focus on the cruise! I can't wait.

I think we will have 2 large suitcases, 1 garmet bag, 1 carry on suitcase, 2 backpacks and 1 diaper bag. we will decide in a few days when we start packing.

I am bringing two large suitcases plus a medium carry on. So excited I am not flying so I can stuff my luggage to the gills:banana:

From everything I have read we won't have a problem using US currency in Mexico however, they will not give you change in US Currency so I have been saving all my small bills so I can always pay exact amounts. The exchange rate is about 11:1 but most tourist places just make it 10:1 so the conversion is easy.

So excited just got my formal night gown. I was going to wear the dress I wore in my sisters wedding but than I saw the pictures:scared1: there was no one I would have subjected you to such a horrid sight. Fortunately, everything was on sale so it didn't cost me too much $$$$ now I just have to get shoes tomorrow:cutie:

Ok back to packing...don't forget your Over the Door Shoe Holders, Power Strip, Non plug in room deodorizer (for the bathrooms) and of course you Fish Extenders. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

In our room, we have 2 adults and 2 kids and we're going to try to limit it to 2 large suitcases and 2 carry ons.
My DM & DN arrive from Hawaii at midnight so we'll have a week to "rest" before the cruise!
Got lots to do before hand but it'll be fun. DH got ressies at the Magic Castle and Dodger tickets! Plus DM's b'day is Tuesday so we'll be a bit busy.
l'll start packing on Wednesday ~ cannot wait~~~

PS - Thanks for the tips and the "don't forget's" - I've got my list going~
