JUN 06 2007 Magic - 10 day Mediterranean ( READ INFO POST # 1 )

Hi Leslye,
You mentioned you were going to the Southern Caribean in 77 days. I am so envious. Where exactly are you going? Is it a Disney Cruise? We went on the Wonder 4 day last Sept. and had the most amazing time. Loved pirate: night. Well I am off to get some shut eye.
Dawn :teeth:

We've got DH 45 DW 41 DD 18 DS 13 Grandma 67 & maybe Aunt & DD boyfriend. Did you guys get air through the cruiseline or by yoursevles? Are you flying in the day before? We've never traveled to Europe so it's all new to me. Any suggestions? :hourglass

We decided to book our own flights but it seems that none of the travel sights accept flights further out than 330 days. So we can only guess what the fares will be.

Right now I think we plan on flying into Paris and then to Barcelona. We looked at renting a car in Barcelona and touring a bit in Spain but decided Paris had more possibilities.

Current round trip flights from Paris to Barcelona are about 170 US$ and I expect there are more flight opportunities to Paris from the US.

If I'm crazy, someone please let me know.

We are going also!! We are now thinking of going to Disneyland Paris after the cruise. But have to wait until the airfare is ready!!

This will be my first Disney cruise. My partner and I will be making the trip. I certainly hope that things will go okay since we have no kids to bring along. As for hotel, most reservation windows are not open yet. However, I have been reading up on tripadvisor. I made my own air reservations, as I am using frequent flyer miles to Europe. I really wanted to schedule a stopover on the way to Barcelona, but it didn't work out. I didn't push the envelope too much after the reservation agent was able to schedule us in business class for our trip over. The return hasn't been booked yet, but I certainly hope I get as lucky. I've never been to Spain or Italy, but have many other European countries under my belt. I am so excited about this trip it's all I can think about, even though I am headed to Disney World in less than six months. Can't wait to meet everyone.

I was worried we would have the boat to our selves. Then again, Palos every night is not so bad.

Welcome everyone.

This is a quiet cruise board. Last time I was on the double scoop blabber mouths cruise with over 100 posts a day. I couldn't keep up reading them. :wave2:

From these who are going on Jun 06, 2007 how many are planning to go to Disneyland Paris? I was looking at prices, since we will be in Europe is nice to go at least two days to Paris, and one of them to the parks.

Most cruises are not booked this far in advance. It's early. More will come.

Just returned from our 5th Disney Cruise and booked the June 6, Med cruise while on board. I'm so excited! Our family of four will be attending, myself (then 36), DH (then 41) and DD's who will be 3 and 6. Our oldest daughter is in a French immersion elementary school so we're excited she'll be able to practice a little French during the vacation. :)

We're from Tulsa, OK, have three dogs and LOVE to travel. Before children we used to do a lot of international travel but since having kiddos Disney Cruises have become our preferred mode of travel. It's such a wonderful, relaxing way to vacation...and taking our young girls around Europe via the Disney Magic sounds ideal. :)

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hello everyone!

Well, I may be back on the ship. If you don't know, I jumped ship and went to RCCL for our Med. cruise. Well, after recently sailing Carnival; sailing non-Disney cruising really freaked us out!!!

We have our RCCL still booked, BUT we re-booked our DCL Med. cruise. We have a cat. 9 and 10 booked.

We will study up on RCCL while we decide, but it looks like we may stick with Disney.

Hi Sarah,

We will have our 3 and 5 year daughters with us. Funny you mentioned the French immersion school for your daughter, we have our 5 year old on a waiting list for a local French school. she is taking French and Arabic lessons now, (as DH is too lazy to teach her himself! He is from Morocco and Arabic and French are the native languages)

Our DD's can Parlez Francais together!

Hi Jennifer:
Nice to meet you! I think it would be fun for both girls to practice their French with the locals. Morocco is actually on our list of places to visit, too, so maybe your husband will have some insider tips when we're ready to go. :)

You're in Florida?

Are many Dissers from Central Florida? Maybe we can have a BBQ at my Farm in the Lake Nona/Narcoosee area.

Or maybe a Pre Med WDW trip is possible.
