Just found out about this message board. So glad to be connected. Now....if I can only catch up --- there's so much to read! Can anyone give me an update? Looks like this is a great group and everyone is meeting up on the ship? We are new to cruising and are bringing our 5 yr old daughter. Would appreciate any info.

June 2 (Sat) from LAX to Rome. Two days in Rome then off to Barcelona on the 5th.

Lucky you with a glass in hand. Both the J and the H will have our's in hand in about 7 hrs!

wow it's really almost here. BTW i almost had a heart attack today. I was reading about how Pres Bush will be visiting the Pope and that usually they close the vatican museums etc for security reasons... the date June 9... frantically i look at my calandar for "C" and realize we're there on the 11 i am happy that it isn't our day but could you imagine....

After reading the 250+ posts in this thread, I think Sharolyn should be the chairman of our meeting. Anyone who can coordinate 23 people on a cruise is obviously a leader! The first day will be hectic and there will be jet lag among some of us. Perhaps we can just be on the lookout for the green Mickey paint chips (as suggested by pjtulsa) on day one. Meeting at 1PM on Thursday (at sea) makes sense but I personaly don't want to be inside any more than necessary! Wear your green tage and meet at the bar in Quiet Cove. For those 1st tiem Disney pasenegers, that is on deck 9 forward and is reserved for adults. It is usualy a little more quiet.

PLease confirm if you agree with this meeting time and place!

Someone knows what is the latest time we could get to Barcelona airport? I was checking my flight and from 10:30AM I was getting to Barcelona now we are arriving at 11:30AM, is this OK?

Marlaymike you should be fine... the ship doesn't leave until 9 pm and check in starts at noon or 1pm (can't remember) So I think you'll be a-ok, tired, but ok.

pjtulsa, signs are power point slides that you make with cliparts and information about the people traveling with you! Is fun to walk around the ship reading the signs. No everyone makes the signs in power point, they sometimes make really big signs.

Once I saw mickey ears, does someone have the template to cut them? I would really like to have them in my door.

this is the thread about the signs... and I think the template for the ears is somewhere in here.

We were thinking of just making one simple one. I have heard it helps a lot in finding your room and since I am already directionally challenged (the left right thing still eludes me after 25 years) I think I would benefit from it. But I think I will put my Screenname for the DIS on it too if other DIS people will be doing it.
