Jumping January Exercise Challenge

New total 305/930

45 minutes of shoveling snow yesterday that I'm counting since it was a much harder workout than my normal exercise. And 30 minutes on the bike today. Someday, in a few months, I'll get to go outside and exercise. There is a nice walking/jogging path along a river near me that is great to walk but not when the temperature is -10!

It's my dream to someday live somewhere that I can run along a path by a river or lake. I have a beautiful trail nearby that I run on. There is a river that I could drive to and run along but it's not really feasible for regular running at this point in my life (while raising a young child and working full time).

Did 45 min tonight- 30 min p90x3 day 13 and then some light jogging. Felt weird that it was my first run in 2015!

355/500

45 minutes today...30-minute HIIT workout plus 15 minutes of abs and stretching. Didn't go to work today. DS10 go sick this morning so I stayed with him. Only the one time and he was fine all day. I didn't want to chance it and bring him to my parents' house. I think something he ate yesterday at my cousin's bar mitzvah celebration disagreed with him. We were at this really awesome bowling alley in Times Square and there was a lot of well...bowling alley type food there that he's not really used to eating. It was probably too much for him because then he was fine all day. No nausea, just some cramping this morning and then he was fine.

So of course I'm mad at myself for taking the day off...I don't like taking off from work and I only do it when I absolutely must, but I still always feel guilty. Anyone else like that?

YES! I am exactLy like that! That's why all these darn school delays have been driving me crazy lately. But that's life I guess.

57 minute run. Cold and icy - luckily I didn't fall! :cool1:
I had the same problem - I slipped a few times, but thankfully caught myself before I fell. Stay safe out there, everyone!

75 minute walk/run for me.

Puts me at ...
423/1000

Doing the math, I'm about where I need to be to hit goal. :cool1:

Adding 160 more minutes at the Gym/PT since last posting. Using the recumbent bike (new for me), leg press and lots of exercise follow up at home, too. Next week, water therapy.

300/900 so far.

I miss being able to see pavement.

Did some treadmill time - 31 minutes

Me too. I'm so ready for early march running.

Did 43 min of p90x3 - today was the agility workout. Man I do not love that one. Most of the others I can handle or even enjoy but this one seems to make me feel disappointed in myself every time. It has a lot of moves that are very difficult for me because of my bad knee. I knew that this program would be hard but perhaps I shouldn't have run last night before this one today. Hopefully my knee will keep getting stronger and I won't feel as discouraged. I really want to keep at this because I can feel myself getting stronger. Maybe next week, no running on Monday night! Still not sure where to fit in some running then- thank goodness my next half isn't until November!

Stay warm and no falling out there on the ice anyone!

Oops. Forgot my total:

Back on track after WDW weekend.
My 1/2 was slower on purpose to save energy for Sunday. My DD and I had a blast taking pics. (And it added extra exercise min as a bonus)
Sunday's marathon wasn't fast because it just wasn't in me to go faster but I loved the day spent with my DD.
1/2 - 198 min
Full - 388 min
Gym 30 min

Tonight we are going to a Brazilian steakhouse, just the four of us, to celebrate DS10's birthday which was this past Wednesday. He knows we're going out to celebrate, but we're surprising him with the place. Steak is his favorite food so he will be very happy. Have any of you ever been to a Brazilian steakhouse? There is a salad bar and hot buffet, but the main thing is that at the table they give you this thing which has a green side and a red side. When you have the green side on top, they keep coming around giving you these delicious grilled meats (all different types of steak, chicken wrapped in bacon, a whole roast pig that they wheel to the table and carve table side for you, rabbit, duck, etc.). It is a steak lover's dream so my son will love it. They also grill whole pineapples and bring that around as well. It's an making place and I'm sure he will love this! I'm glad I worked out this morning so I don't feel quite as guilty lol. It would sure be nice to have a Brazilian steakhouse at WDW. I think it would be a great addition to Disney Springs, although it would have been nice if they replaced Kouzzina with it instead of an Italian restaurant on the boardwalk.

I took my girls to one here and it was sooooooooooooooooo good! The chicken wrapped in bacon is awesome. We walked out of there so full.

Oh- inspirational quote: has to be from "coach Charles" on these boards (or formerly as we haven't seen him much lately). It's in regards to running but could be used in reference to any activity or life moment - "the relentless pursuit of forward momentum."
The singular idea of just keep moving forward can keep me going when I really want to give up (like my second wine and dine when I thought I was going to pass out- didnt- or puke- did- and give up- I didn't: I finished!)

I like that quote, I'll have to remember that next time I want to stop.

I'm up to 475/1575 more walking and pool.

I'm updated to here. I spent the weekend cooking! I wanted to try batch cooking and I managed to get 18 meals in the freezer! I'm so excited about that. I want to try and stop eating out and if this works I'm going to do it once a month!

As a team we hit ORANGE!!!

I'm just doing so-so. Plus 30 min walkin. 190/800.
I'm not doin so hot. Totally did not walk this past weekend. No excuse. Any one has a good training "walking 1/2 marathon" program? Signed up for the Tinkerbell 1/2 marathon on Mother's Day (May 10, 2015). Remember, I'm recovering from knee & ankle injuries.:clown:worship:
