Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

Don't worry about the missing pictures. That't one thing I could never get with Photobucket was the way it organised pictures, that;s why I use flikr that and I actually pay for a pro account on it. It's like 45 dollars for 2 years with unlimited uploads and unlimited ban width.

Don't feel bad, I have missing parts in my memories too. :lmao:

I think you double posted a pic of John....You said you took in the views and then you have a 2nd picture of John...he is a nice view, but I be that wasn't what you meant. :rotfl:

See....both the Dis and Photobucket are conspiring against me! :lmao:

:lmao: You are too much!

I have to agree about CBR. It is such a relaxing place. It feels just like a tropical paradise! Every time I think I have convinced myself to stay at POR, then I see more CBR pics and I want to go back there!!!

That's exactly why we keep going back to the CBR! We love the relaxing feel/vibe after a long day in the parks.

Thanks on the CBR info. I may be booking there soon! ;):goodvibes;) As in a day or so!! :yay::yay::yay::yay: Do you think extra time needs to be added for travel since the buses have several stops to make? We have always had only one stop at the resort so that wasn't an issue to consider.

I need to show Keith your resort pictures. It may excite him a little more!

Good short update!! :thumbsup2

You are welcome! We have never had any problem with the buses with the exception of one time when John slept in and didn't meet us at HS until early afternoon. Then, his wait for a bus was about 25 or 30 minutes. Normally, they run on the same 20 minuter intervals as the other resorts. In the mornings, we have seen several buses at the stops at once. I actually timed our rides to the parks. From the time we sat down on the bus in Jamaica, made our way to the other bus stops, the times were: 1) MK: 13 to 16 minutes (we went multiple times); 2) AK: less than 15 minutes; 3) HS: 11 minutes; 4) Epcot: 10 to 12 minutes (we went multiple times). Of course, when a bus driver has to help load a scooter or wheelchair, then the time is longer but that's the case at any resort.

Love the pool photos. :)

Thanks!

I always have those missing periods of time between photos too. Like, I know we ended up in DHS somehow...

Afternoon pool time is the best! It's a great way to rejuvenate for the evening!

I swear it's not old age that makes me forget....it's Photobucket! I swear it is! ;)

Great picture of the kids in the pool. I love the quiet pools at the mod resorts. They are so convenient. I love the pictures with all the pretty pastel buildings in the background! Such a great resort!

We like how the CBR has the quiet pools so we have a pool virtually to ourselves. :thumbsup2

All I can see in the blurry picture is what looks like a snake. I'm guessing that's not what you would qualify as a furry friend.

I love hammocks in theory, but I can never slow down enough to actually enjoy one.

I thought I was posting the less-blurry pic but I guess I didn't. :confused3 That furry little friend was a super cute squirrel.

It takes all I have to stop and smell the roses while at Disney.

Because I kept exceeding the bandwidth on Photobucket, I upgraded to the Pro account and still have about ten months or so left. I may look at Flikr when my time runs out with Photobucket.

Relaxing in the hammock on the beach with the love of your life....AHHHH! :lovestruc

Ahhhh is right! It was so nice and peaceful.

The Dole Whip was super good and I can't believe I waited so long to try one. :confused3

I'm still trying to figure out how you could have missed getting a Dole Whip sooner. You're so knowledgeable about all things Disney. Back on '07 as I was preparing to go to Disney for the 1st time in over 20 years I discovered the DISboards. While reading the reports I saw quite a few folks proclaim the joys of a Dole Whip! Soon after arriving at MK I happened to be going to POTC and there was Aloha Isle! After waiting in a short line I got my first taste and it was LOVE at first lick! I never go to MK without stopping for one.

BTW, you have tried Tonga Toast at the Polynesian, haven't you? That is another of my favorites. Plus, this past year I discovered you could get Tonga Toast at Captain Cook's Snack Co. (quick service @ Polynesian) in addition to the Kona Cafe.

I knew that the Dole Whips were there but I didn't know what a gem we were passing up. Aren't the Dole Whips one of the best snacks ever?!?!

No, I haven't tried Tonga Toast yet. We aren't big breakfast eaters so we've never had a sample. Maybe I need to rectify that situation.

As I said in the previous installment, at some point in time, we went back to the resort, swam, checked out the view (apparently I checked out the view of John twice since I posted that picture twice :lmao:) and then we went back to the Magic Kingdom. We had a dinner ADR at the Crystal Palace and there was a little bit of a wait before we were seated. It wasn't as bad as the previous trips though...we've had waits of up to 45 minutes before.:faint:

We were seated at one of the tables near the front of the restaurant so there was a bit of foot traffic around us but it wasn't that bad. I don't know about ya'll but swimming and relaxing in a hammock makes us a hungry bunch so we immediately went to the buffet and started filling up on the goodies. I have no idea which plates belongs to which person but you can make a pretty good bet that Hunter's won't have much on it other than pizza and chicken and I don't like my food to touch so mine is probably the neatest plate in the pictures.

Pooh was the first character to visit our table:

Ummm, Pooh, Hunter's just making a silly face...this ain't a hold-up:

Next up was the coolest orange man around.....Tigger!

A booty check. Yep, the tail's still pinned on:

100_2351.jpg

Well, hum....I don't see any pictures of pizza or neat plates so I guess I didn't take many pictures of our entrees. However, I did get a picture or two of the desserts:

And now one that you've probably never seen before. A picture of a Crystal Palace spoon:

100_2355.jpg

I have no idea why that picture was taken. :confused3

His royal Pinkness came to the table and, this time, I got in the picture:

It's become a tradition for us to finish up our Disney vacations with a dinner at the Crystal Palace. I know that some people don't like buffets but the one at the Crystal Palace is very well maintained and there's a variety of good foods to choose from. We gave this meal another :thumbsup2 and we're returning again in May.

**Up next: Just how many pictures are you going to take?

Love the update, Lisa. But how could not...you are with my favorite characters (and I don't mean Hunter :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:).

We've never had dinner there but, as you know, it is a must do for breakfast for us every trip. :goodvibes

I know why my husband would take a picture of the spoon....to see what company made it to see if "it was his" that was sold to a dollar store chain.

Love all the pictures of your 'kids' with the characters. I sure hope my DD will play along for her mother's sake when she is that age. You are a very lucky lady to have such a wonderful family that all enjoy Disney so much! :thumbsup2

Your food looked mighty yummy. We need to get back to CP soon. It is such a pretty place too.

Love the spoon pic! :rotfl: I do that all the time. Somehow I end up taking a picture when I am trying to turn the camera off or on or switch from photo to video. I always come home with strange pictures and videos for which I have no recollection of taking! :rolleyes1

That food looks so yummy! I love CP. Its seriously one of my favs! More great pictures of you guys with the characters, We are doing a CP breakfast this summer. Can't wait!

Aww, I love the Crystal Palace! The food has always been good there, and I love that it gets us in the park early!

My plates always look weird, a tiny bit of everything!

I love all the pictures of the Crystal Palace! We have never been. I have reservations for breakfast in June, but I don't know if we will make this trip or not I lost my job and I don't know how to ask for a week off right away when I find a new job:sad2: But maybe it will all work out in the end.

I can't wait to see how you spend the rest of your last night.

Loved the update. Did your kids ever go through a phase when they wouldn't pose with characters? My son decided at about age 14 that he was way too cool to pose with characters :confused3 and then at age 16 decided that it was fun again :thumbsup2 Glad he got over it!! My best friend is a big Disney fan too and she has two boys who are now 17 and 24 and they still love going to Disney. Her younger son has always loved posing and her older son has never loved posing - their Disney pix are sooo funny because there are so many of her younger son. Guess every kid is different!

Love the Crystal Palace pics! If I ever do another character dinner, this would be the one, I just love Winnie the Pooh and Tigger :lovestruc (as you can see from my Avatar! LOL - I also have a kitty named Tigger)

Love the CP photos. I think it is one place I have never eaten. We ate at the Plaza restaurant last time based off one of your reviews of it! Loved that! It was our best meal of the trip. We actually went to the town hall to compliment our waitress and the whole staff who were so accommodating to my friends food allergy. Plus we got to watch Wishes from inside! I believe Florida had record cold weather that night so sadly Tink didn't fly. May have to try dinner at the CP next trip!

LOVED your comment on the food not touching. I was JUST telling my co-worker today that I can't have fruit salad because it is all mixed in and I can't mix foods, I am way too OCD. You can never have too many photos of a rouge fork!

Your dinner at Crystal Palace looks great! I've only ever been there for breakfast, but that was good too!

Love your comment about not wanting your food to be touching - I'm the exact same way! DBF's mom always jokes that I'd love to just use those segmented dishes with the 3 parts...I can't say I disagree!

You should try Crystal Palace some time. It's really good. We love the Plaza too and have had outstanding service there as well.

I'm so happy to hear that I'm not the only one who doesn't want their food touching. It can touch just a tad on the side but if it gets all mixed in, I think that's just gross. My uncle used to pile everything on his plate at once, even his dessert, and I couldn't believe he would eat his food like that.

Love the Crystal Palace pics! If I ever do another character dinner, this would be the one, I just love Winnie the Pooh and Tigger :lovestruc (as you can see from my Avatar! LOL - I also have a kitty named Tigger)

The Crystal Palace was our first character meal so it holds a special place for us.

I was/am really lucky that my kids never went through that phase. Both of my kids are huggy and have no problem doing semi-embarassing things in public. (As if you couldn't already tell. :rotfl:)

I thought that you got your job back! Oh no! I'm going to put you on my prayer list and hope that you find something soon.

We've never had breakfast at Crystal Palace but I would love the getting into the park early privilege.

It's one of our favs too! I like that I can get a bit of this and a little of that.

I thought about you when I posted the pictures of us with the characters because I had just read your update with them as well.

As you can tell from all of the crazy pictures I've posted previously, my kids have no problem posing with the characters. Actually, John and I don't either.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with pictures of weird things. I have so many pictures of my feet or a table top or the ground.

Lacey is the same way about her food touching. My mother bought Lacey two divided Corelleware plates as one of her wedding presents.

Great updates!

I really enjoy the food at Crystal Palace for lunch. We've eaten breakfast there and it was okay, but the lunch food was great. And I love the desserts!!!!

The first time we ate lunch there, DD9 didn't realize that there were different desserts on each side, so she just went to one and sat down. I came back with stuff she hadn't seen and you would have thought her seat was on fire if you saw how fast she went back up.

We had it booked this trip for our arrival day late lunch, but we decided to cancel it since we are planning to head to DTD that evening. We'll just have a snack and then eat at the resort or DTD early.

YAY! I'm caught up! :cool1:

- That dress is the SAME dress I wore in the wedding I was in last year right after our trip to Disney! Mine was red though! It's a super cute dress! :thumbsup2

- I don't like my food touching either! That's the hard thing about Buffets for me! :confused3

- CP looks good. I hadn't really ever thought about eating there, since I'm not a Pooh fan, but your pictures look good! :) At least those desserts like tasty!
