Thank you so very much!

Lifting her up in prayer!

Thanks and please continue to do so!

My prayers are with your friends.

Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving. Good luck shopping Black Friday. I plan to go Thurs night!

Thank you very much! I won't be doing any Black Friday shopping this year....thank goodness. I'll be in Tennessee!

I love reading about y'alls experiences with Star Wars weekend. We are thinking of doing it next year, but it seems overwhelming to me! Our kids are huge Star Wars fans so it will probably be worth it!

About your issues with Disney - they record all their phone calls so if you can get a supervisor on the line and provide the date, time and cast member you spoke with they should be able to find the call. From what I have heard, they will honor whatever you were told but...

I really hope it all works out for you! It's so frustrating to be disappointed with something that has brought you so much joy. I want all my interaction with Disney to be as magical as the Parks are!!!

I was a bit intimidated by Star Wars Weekends when planning last year. It wasn't as bad and I thought it was going to be. Keep in mind, though, that you will not be able to see and do all of the attractions because of the meet and greets. If we were to go back again during SWW, I'd plan to spend another day at Hollywood Studios.

I'll be posting an update on what I finally found out from Disney with regards to Mama's pin code.

Wow, read your whole TR in the last two days, love it!!! Subbing! Can't wait to hear about whether you get a response from Disney on your discounts and looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip too. popcorn::

Welcome! I'm happy to have new readers. I hope to be posting a new installment this afternoon or in the morning.

I am so mad about the treatment you are getting over that pin.

I emailed you.

Update coming up!

Just wanted to sub! Somehow I completely missed that you had a "new" TR! :sad2:

I really enjoyed your past reports and can't wait to find the time to go back and read this!

So glad to have you! I think I've failed to post the links to the last few updates in my first post. I'll try to go back and add them so you won't miss anything.

Prayers are being sent! I hope she recovers completely and quickly. :grouphug:

Thanks so much!

Hi Lisa,
I'll say some extra prayers in the coming days for this family.

Not to dump gasoline on a fire but I just went out and got my mail and what did I find? Yet another PIN code from Uncle Walt good for the 1st Quarter of 2012. Since I just got back before Halloween there's no way I'll take them up on this offer. For the life of me I'll never understand the logic behind how WDW sends out PIN codes. Those like me who only visit occasionally seem to get the codes on a regular basis. Yet people like you who go year after year and spend your hard-earned dollars at WDW apparently aren't deemed worthy by WDW to be offered a PIN. IT MAKES NO SENSE!!!

I really hope you're able to contact someone at Disney who can make something happen and get you or Mama a PIN code. You might ask them how your Mama got a letter with her name and address AND a PIN code yet somehow it was sent in error! Just how much would it cost Disney to make things right in this one instance for a family so dedicated to spending their vacations at The World?

The family appreciates each and every prayer!

I don't understand pin codes either. They say that they are randomly sent out by the marketing department. I've read quite a few posts where minor children are even getting pins.

I have an update on Mama's pin code coming up.

Thought and prayers for the family!!!!!! (((HUGS))) :littleangel:

Thank you so much!

I will be praying for your friend's family.

I appreciate the prayers!

Thought and prayers are on the way! You know I thought I had it bad with losing my job and this just reminds me how lucky I still am. Please keep us updated.

Amen! I think I have problems and then something like this comes up and my problems are just a drop in the bucket of life.

Sending positive vibes to that mother and her family.

Thank you!

I think I responded to all of the recent posts.

I wanted to thank you all again for praying for my friend and her family. The Lord definitely answers prayers because the latest news is that she is no longer on the ventilator and is awake and responding to questions. Can you believe that? She went from near death to where she is now. Praise be to God! I have been anxiously watching and waiting for another update on her condition but am thrilled with what I have heard so far.

I still do not know what happened to her but I am thankful that she is still with her family. As all of you know, rumors run rampant during times like these and I do not believe 99% of what I am hearing with the exception of the updates given to everyone by their immediate family. It makes me sick that the rumor mills are actively whirling during this already trying time for their family.

Okay, moving on.....let's talk about Mama's pin code. As I put into great detail a few days back, I've been trying to contact the "higher up" castmember about Mama's pin code. I finally reached her yesterday and I think I caught her off guard. She sounded a bit flustered when I told her who I was. She said that she had found the pin code again and that she had figures for me.

As she was searching for her notes, I was making small talk and said that Mama and I had run the numbers several times and that we never figured out how she came up with Mama's figure. She said that she didn't know how she came up with it either and that she had gone over her numbers over and over again.

Once she found her notes, she gave me the correct figures and, just as I suspected, Mama's number was off by about $500.00.....the approximate cost of the dining plan. I made her run the numbers for our package using Mama's pin code and it was the same as she gave me before. I told her that I would pass the information along to Mama and get back with her. Right now, the price of the vacation is still a bit steep for Mama to handle on a limited budget so she's unsure if she's going to book or not. And, since she has been told she had arthritis in her foot, she's not sure she could handle such a long, lots-of-walking vacation.

Honestly, at this point in time, I am still not happy with the service that we have gotten from Disney. What started out as a letter from John to Disney turned into a phone call that virtually ignored the letter and then turned into a conversation about Mama receiving a pin code which belonged to another person. Nothing that this "higher up" has done (or not done) is satisfactory to me.

Now I know that most of us do not have a job where were are completely happy and chomping at the bit to get to every day. But, still, when we get to work, we do our job and we keep our customer/clients happy because that's what we are paid to do. If I had a client who I promised to call back, then I'd call them back. If I had a client who placed several telephone calls to me, I'd return their call. If I were to virtually ignore them, I'd be fired in a New York minute (or in my case a Louisiana minute ;)).

John and I are of the opinion that I should write a very lengthy letter to Walt Disney World setting forth, in detail, everything that has happened up to this point in time. I want them to know everything including how many times I have called, how many times I have been told I'll get a call back and even how long the telephone calls were (I have my cell phone records.).

I'm not asking Disney to hand me a vacation on a silver platter. I'm not asking them for a "free" discount. I'm not asking them to put me up in a deluxe resort for the price of a value resort. I'm not asking them to do anything other than respond to a unsatisfied and extremely frustrated guest. To me, that's not too much to ask.

I agree that you should send them that letter. It is easy for a corporation that large to let one customer fall through the cracks, but that doesn't mean it is right. And they need to know what all happened so it doesn't happen to more people.

Lisa, sending prayers and good thoughts to your friend.

The prayers are appreciated Kathy. Are you feeling better?

I agree. If I were a first-timer to Disney, I'd be ticked off so badly that I probably wouldn't book a vacation.

I'm so glad your friend is doing better. When I read she was off the ventilator I got goose bumps!

I think you should write the letter too. I know you are not looking for a hand out but I really think they should do something for all the runaround you got.

I totally agree, Lisa! You should most definitely write a letter to Disney!!! Hopefully something will come of it!!! It's not like you are asking for handouts, you just want some service!!! Good Luck!!!

So glad to hear about your friend!!! God most definitely performs miracles!!!!

I was so happy that I cried. The prayers for my friend are definitely helping.

I'm going to write the letter to Disney and we'll see what they say.

God does perform miracles!

Hopefully, my letter to Disney will produce better results that the one that John wrote.

Here's the update posted on my friend's Facebook page about 12 hours ago. All I can say is Wow God is good!:

Update on *** fm her momma, ***, "I feel like we are living out a Miracle and WE ARE!!!!! CCU moved * out today around noon and she is in a private room now! NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS EXPECTED THIS FOUR DAYS AGO!!!!! To see what God has done and all the things He is still doing is amazing and very surreal!!! And yet it is all very REAL!
Migraines are back with a vengeance and they really cannot give her anything right now, so we would ask for prayer for this specific thing.............relief from migraines and hemoplegic headaches in the Name of Jesus and continued healing and restoration of the kidneys and liver. "

We are overwhelmed by the love and prayers of God's people, literally all over the world! Thank you for continuing to pray for * as she moves from one phase to another in her recovery.

We have had three nurses who have worked in CCU many, many years say to us that they have seen many cases like *'s and this is the first time they have ever witnessed anyone coming around this quickly. ONLY GOD!!! ONLY GOD!!!

Whoa!!! I was so far behind on your TR. I'm going to give you the short & sweet version of my responses:
1. I'm happy John is doing well. :thumbsup2
2. I'm glad Mama is ok & wish her good luck at her appointment today. :goodvibes
3. I'm with you on the Disney prices. Now that I have a car payment again, it looks like I will be skipping a trip there next year. How infuriating that they are basically ignoring you, though. :furious: It looks like you are going to have to get a little pushy with them.
4. Thank goodness that your friend is doing better. That must have been awfully scary for her friends and family!!
5. Have an awesome Thanksgiving!!!

You had a very good reason for being behind....you were in Walt Disney World!

John is doing lots better and we think the doctor has a good plan in the works.

Mama's appointment went well today. She is going to have her esophagus dilated Monday and the doctor will also look around and see if there's anything else going on.

Disney prices are outrageous for 2012! I'm going to write the letter to Disney once we get bak from Tennessee.

My friend's prognosis was very dim in the beginning and it looks like she is well on her way to a recovery.

I hope you have a good Thanksgiving too!

Ya'll I'm trying to find time to post a Disney installment but every time I think about it, the boss starts yelling something down the hall or the phone rings. We are set to leave for Tennessee as soon as John gets off work this afternoon which I hope is the normal time of 2:30 p.m. I'm not too hopeful though because he has been working late every day and even on the weekends. My boss has said we will probably close at lunch today and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it happens.

If I don't get a chance to post before we leave, I hope that everybody has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

So happy to hear that your friend's critical condition is improving. I really help she continues to improve and that her medical team is about to get to the root of her problem.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful thanksgiving!

As we were walking out of the store, we saw some of the streetmosphere performers and stopped to watch. They were absolutely hilarious even though they barely spoke a word.

Once the performers had moved on, we turned to our right and proceeded toward the one attraction that Hunter had said he was going to conquer on this trip. What attraction? This one!

As some of you may recall from my previous trip reports and my mentioning it constantly , I am super de duper scared of heights and did not ride Tower of Terror until two years ago. John talked me into going on it and I swore I would pee my pants and hate every second of it. Boy was I wrong. I was scared and I did hold onto John's arm so tight it had a bruise on it afterward but I loved it. I had Hunter convinced that he would like it too and he had agreed to ride it this trip.

A few pictures I took while going in:

Hunter was as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. He wasn't sure if he wanted to ride any more but we kept telling him that it would be fun. Thank goodness the line was short or I am afraid he would have chickened out.

Soon we were boarding our elevator and we were seated on the second row if I am remembering correctly. John told Hunter to wrap his arm around his and hold on tight. Of course, Hunter said he wasn't wrapping his arm around his dad's but he did say he was going to hold on tight. John promised Hunter that he would tell him when we got to the part before the drop. He did and we did....drop that is! Over and over and over again! I think that was the most drops I had ever seen on the Tower of Terror.:eek::eek:

When the ride stopped, we asked Hunter how he liked it and he loved it! :yay: I asked him if he screamed and he admitted that he did and that he also said "the S word" which in most circumstances we would have gotten on to him for but I couldn't fault him this time. ;) He said that he said a prayer afterwards and told God he was sorry for cursing. :littleangel:

I told Hunter and Lacey to pose in front of the Tower of Terror sign before we moved on:

I think our next stop was The Great Movie Ride and the Animation Building but I don't have picture proof of it but I really think that's what we did next. Mama called and said that she was was on her way to the park and we told her that we'd meet her near the front of the park. We told her that the parade was about to start but to call us when she got there and we'd look for her.

***Okay, so my boss' friend just left and I need to give him a message or two before we shut down.....hopefully. I know that this installment was short but at least it was something before we leave to see Lacey & Jesse.

Again, I hope that you all have a great Thanksgiving!

Yay for Hunter trying and loving TOT! I got Heather to try it when we were there 3 years ago and she is TERRIFIED of heights. She loved it too. And I know I shouldn't be, but I am laughing so hard at him admitting that he said the "S Word". It's good he apologized and admitted it, and I can't say I blame him. I love the ride too, and have ridden it several times, but I still want to curse when the first drop happens. :rotfl2:

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Have a fun, safe trip to see Lacey and Jesse.

Hi Lisa! Yay for Hunter going on TOT!!!! That is my most favorite ride in the world!!!! Glad he enjoyed it!

So great about your friend!!! I will still keep her in my prayers!!!

Happy Thanksgiving! Have a wonderful time with Lacey and Jesse!!!!
