My husband received a pin code in his email...when I called about other dates, the code was not for him, but for a different name and address.. I had to fax a copy of the email along with a phone number to contact me.....It's been a week and I have heard nothing!! :confused3

I don't understand how Disney can get such things mixed up so badly. It baffles me. I sure hope you hear something back and that it's in your favor.

I am so frustrated. I am not expecting a handout from Disney but feel like they need to give Mama the offer that she is entitled to.

Forget me being a Disney Lover or repeat visitor....what if I was someone who was thinking about booking a Disney vacation for the first time? I'm betting they would be very upset with the way they were being treated and say "forget it!"

I just got an email pin code today that you have to book by 12/31....so maybe Mamas has been released now and they can access it!

I know it is so frustrating when you get different answers from Disney! If they every give you a quote again...ask them to put the reservation on hold for you! Disney can put the reservation on hold for generally 7 days with no money down...if you decide you want it call back and pay the deposit if not just call back and cancel it!

Hope the Pin code shows up soon!!

I am going to call Disney again tomorrow and see if they can find Mama's pin. So far, just one person has been able to see it and then her figures were all screwed up. I should have put the reservation on hold but my Mama is really weird about things like that and I would have hated to explain to her that it was just a hold and not an actual reservation.

I do believe that's him. I just looked at the print Hunter bought and it looks like the guy's name was Bruce Spence and he played Tion something don. The little bio slip said that he was in every Star Wars movie and that he also acted in quite a few other movies including Mad Max.

John is super sweet sometimes especially while at Disney. He doesn't like to buy things for himself but he will always buy things for me.:lovestruc

Mr. Spence was really nice and talked to Hunter the whole time we were there. Okay so it was just a few minutes but he was nice and didn't like he was trying to rush us through to get to the next person.

I don't know what's up with Disney. Even if it's not intentional, they need to get their act together and tell me something. It's the not calling me back after promising to do so that's ticking me off.

It sounds like the cms you were talking to had no clue what was going on with the pin. Maybe she quoted you a wrong price and now doesn't want to own up to it. It seems that even if they really sent the pin to mama by mistake they would still honor it because THEY mailed it to her name and address and it was THIER mistake! Wouldn't they want to make things right?

That is so sweet that John came in the store and right away asked if you saw anything you liked and got it for you with a little help from the kids!

Hunter looked so happy to be meeting a movie star.
 
I totally agree about giving Disney a piece of your mind. They really haven't been good with you with all those phone calls and emails. Really hope you get a satisfactory result at the end of all this!
 
Haven't checked in much lately since I had to have my Gallbladder out earlier this week :sick: but I am getting myself caught up with the TR's I am following, luckily I didn't miss too much.

Glad to hear John's meds are doing their job for now and they aren't going to be making any changes.

When calling Disney you might have thought about this or not. When you first talk to a CM ask to immediately speak to a supervisor or even a manager. With all that has taken place with Mama's Pin Code there's no way a regular CM will be able to resolve your issues. Start with someone higher up and if you get no satisfaction try to get connected to THEIR supervisor! We all wish you the BEST of LUCK!!!

They have given me the run-around for three weeks now! Somebody is going to tell me something even if it's that they screwed up and can't do anything about it.

I always thought John was a good honest name myself. ;)

What's so bad is the fact that the person that I called me about John's email and said she found Disney's pin code IS a higher up. I have her direct extension but she is not calling me back any more.

I'm wondering if the castmember DID quote the wrong figure for Mama's package and doesn't know what to do about it. If that's the case, then just tell me so I won't keep calling back. I agree that they should honor what they sent to Mama because, like you said, they are the ones that mailed it to her.

John can be quite sweet sometimes and always buys me one or two surprises at Disney. This time, the ring wasn't a surprise but it was still sweet of him to buy it for me.

Hunter was happy to see a movie star. I am sure that River is going to be super excited to go to Star Wars Weekends.
 
I love reading about y'alls experiences with Star Wars weekend. We are thinking of doing it next year, but it seems overwhelming to me! Our kids are huge Star Wars fans so it will probably be worth it!

About your issues with Disney - they record all their phone calls so if you can get a supervisor on the line and provide the date, time and cast member you spoke with they should be able to find the call. From what I have heard, they will honor whatever you were told but...

I really hope it all works out for you! It's so frustrating to be disappointed with something that has brought you so much joy. I want all my interaction with Disney to be as magical as the Parks are!!!

Good morning to all my Disboard friends! I hope that you all had a great weekend! I am sure that everybody is gearing up for the Thanksgiving holidays and for the Black Friday sales.

I will be coming back soon to post replies but wanted to take a moment to ask that you all please say a special prayer (or positive thoughts) for a family that desperately needs all the prayers they can get. This family has been in our circle of friends for 24 years now.

A very precious mother of five children is in the hospital and is hanging on by a very tiny thread. Her kidneys and liver are failing, she is on dialysis and on a ventilator. I found out about her condition when her daughter posted that her mother needed prayers. Over the course of the last two days, I have heard conflicting reports of what happened to her and still do not know the entire story but, no matter how or what happened, she needs prayers.

For those of you who believe, I ask that you please please pray that God lays his hands upon this beautiful mother and that she recovers fully.

Not to dump gasoline on a fire but I just went out and got my mail and what did I find? Yet another PIN code from Uncle Walt good for the 1st Quarter of 2012. Since I just got back before Halloween there's no way I'll take them up on this offer. For the life of me I'll never understand the logic behind how WDW sends out PIN codes. Those like me who only visit occasionally seem to get the codes on a regular basis. Yet people like you who go year after year and spend your hard-earned dollars at WDW apparently aren't deemed worthy by WDW to be offered a PIN. IT MAKES NO SENSE!!!

I really hope you're able to contact someone at Disney who can make something happen and get you or Mama a PIN code. You might ask them how your Mama got a letter with her name and address AND a PIN code yet somehow it was sent in error! Just how much would it cost Disney to make things right in this one instance for a family so dedicated to spending their vacations at The World?
 
Thought and prayers are on the way! You know I thought I had it bad with losing my job and this just reminds me how lucky I still am. Please keep us updated.
