Hey, did everyone hear that there is a tropical storm/hurricane off of mexico south of Cabo? :scared1: how scarry i hope everyone isnt too green  this really makes you want to grab those sea sick wrist bands or patches.Has anyone been through something like this ? if so what do they usually do ? skip ports? :teleport: Christine
Hi Christine,

I saw the information about this tropical storm yesterday. It looks like it's moving away from land. I don't know if it's close enough to affect the Magic. The forecast for Cabo for tomorrow is sunny and 94. The forecast for next week for Cabo is low 100's. Yuck!

Let's just hope there isn't one of these storms when we're cruising.

Still no docs today, but I did get my t-shirts and buttons. They look wonderful!
Too much fun!

I just got a prescription for myself for those patches. I also plan on bringing the seabands...they worked when I was pregnant, but I've never used them on a cruise. I figure I'll try them first (no side effects!) and if I need more, I'll progress to the patch. I ordered child-sized seabands for the kids online and will probably have them wear those, bringing medication (I have to look back at my notes to see what the ped recommended!) as a back-up.

I went on a Mexican cruise 15 years ago, and if I remember correctly, the only day I felt a little off was the last sea day...when they are racing against the current to get home!

Cheri...we're parasailing and possibly renting waverunners with JT Watersports in the morning, then probably heading over to the Office to meet up with the rest of the group. You get a discount if you book online. I think it's 10%...and you get a free water taxi there and back.

Any other input on pirate night attire? I know Karen is going DIS shirts, Val is going tropical, and Sheila is as undecided as I am! What about everyone else?

Wow, packing weeks in advance...that's foreign to me. I guess it must be because I'm a very frequent traveller, but the idea of taking more than 10 minutes to pack for a week-long trip is hard for me to comprehend :confused3 :confused3 I'm going to Amsterdam next week (Sat to Sat, just like the cruise), and I'll pack for that in 10 minutes. Since it's a cruise, I'll budget an extra 5 minutes, but that's it.

Must be a guy thing.

We are not going to any great expense (I don't think) for pirate stuff. Cameron has a hat and a parrot from his costume a couple of years ago. I bought some eye patches, earrings (DH is just thrilled about that)and some tatoos. We probably will just wear our shirts. If I find any time to investigate or think about anything else I will throw something else in. Party City is supposed to have small inflatable swords but they are always out. I like that idea better than packing fake plastic ones. I am too afraid of the screenings. I would be singled out as a pirate terrorist!!!!LOL.

Folks-

Work is insane, I am working with psychotic people. We have worked 14 hour days for the past two weeks. We are working on compliance issues for an upcoming audit (should occur while we are out to sea in the Pacific, thank goodness). Hopefully I have nothing to defend when I return.

I am so haapy that I had this vacation planned or I'd be here to let the auditors in.

Can not wait to go. It is the only thing getting me through this.

QUESTION: What is our schedule for "meets" on the ship and our shirt-wearing schedule? Please let me know, I don't want to be the only one wonderling around with our lime shirts on!

ANOTHER QUESTION: Is there a consolidated list of web cams for our ports of call? I want these poor folks at work to see how much fun I am having!

THIRD AND FINAL QUESTION: Is anyone considering booking another cruise while on-board this cruise? Just curious.....

Hope everyones docs came (not that I have enough to worry about, now I worry about your docs :rotfl: ).

Welcome Aboard The July 9 Cruise -- psychotic pirates in desperate need of a vaction. Beware of those wearing thongs, clandestine trips to the Mickey Slide, chocolate covered strawberries, and wine wenches smuggling favorite bottles of drink on board. Arrrr! pirate:

Tom--welcome. I have a 12 year old son, so he'll be in the same club as you. He's not much into emailing, though. If you show up when we meet as a group, you can meet him then. His name is Ryan.

For those of you who haven't received their docs yet, did you all go through travel agents? I did and I think she is holding them hostage. She probably wants to go and is jealous. Happens to the best of us.

Off to Legoland and Sea World in the morning! Have a great weekend everyone.

We went through All Seasons Travel and they got the docs first, then they sent to us via Priority Mail -- we received them last Saturday, 6/18.

Here's hoping you get them soon -- I mean we leave in 15 days! :confused3

We also booked through All Seasons, but we didn't get ours until Wednesday. Shows that DCL doesn't mail them all out at the same time.

RaeAnn...

Thanks for posting! We're sailing July 9th, and it is so nice to get information from those before us! Just a few questions:

I know you said you were in group 3...when did boarding begin for group 1? Does everyone in your party have to be present to check-in? Also...once you check-in and get a boarding number, do you have to stay in the terminal or can you leave and return when it's closer to boarding time?

How was formal night? Did they do anything special for Father's Day?

According to your navigators, is Twice Charmed on Monday night or Wednesday night? And is Who Wants To Be A Mousketeer a nighttime show?

Kim :flower:

You asked all of the questions that I had! THANKS !

We didn't book through an agent so I have no idea why we don't have ours. We live in a townhome and have a gate in our front yard. Typically UPS/FED Ex won't leave anything because they can't leave it on our front door step. We have a dog and she would kiss you to death but she looks like a wolf! Usually we get a yellow stickie thing. We have nothing!!!! I am even coming home at lunch on the way to see my clients, etc. I hope the yellow stickie didn't blow away since it does get windy here. If we don't have anything by the middle of next week I will call Disney and find out. Of course I will be a mental case by then but ...LOL

Here is a suggestion to those of you who don’t have your Docs yet Call DCL @ 1888 325 2500 between 8:00 am and 10: pm EST and ask for the tracking number on your docs make sure that you have your confirmation number when you do this.

The CM you speak to should give you all the info you need to find your Docs.

My TA said not to panic. Disney mails them out at different times. She said that she called about mine and they are on their way to her and I should have them early next week. I booked through Mouseears! :earsboy:

I was more concerned about my Disney vacation before hand as I had heard nothing but she said they will be coming this weekend. I can't believe it is less than two weeks away until I leave and two weeks for the cruise!!! :Pinkbounc

I guess that's one (or two, depending on how you count) less stowaway. :cloud9: I'm glad you finally got your docs, Amy.

Am I the only one who's worried about getting everything done that needs to be done before we go? I've got 3 sewing projects for the trip, a house to get in order, two birthday parties (and presents for each), packing for 3, and the normal day-to-day chores. Mike keeps assuring me that everything is going to be fine, but I'm really starting to worry that it won't all get done. :scared:
