July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

Nah, you're not alone! I'm the same way. The cruise is going to be a blast no matter what and you'll get things done! No need to worry.

:cool1:  :dancer: :cool1:  :dancer: :cool1:  :dancer: LITTLE BOX ON MY FRONT PORCH!!!!!!! Amy, we don't have to hide! Good, 'cuz, right now I don't think I'd fit in any of our suitcases and I can't see myself scaling up the side of the Magic on ropes.

now what's this about boarding in groups, Kim? :hyper2: talk to me. This is something new.

Green shirts for pirate night it is! Already have black, baggy capris.I think I'll have Cassie's hair braided before we board, if not I'd like to make an appointment with our resident hairdresser.

Still no docs but did speak with TA and they are on their way -- She said I should get them Tuesday or Wednesday -- what happened to overnight???? Is there a "****y" prize for being last!??!?! :rotfl2:

I too am panicing about getting everything done! I am in charge of my Division's picnic on Thursday -- and I have the most important roll -- make sure the Beer and margarita's get there! Anyway I hate being a party planner and am really not very good at it but I do earn brownie points with my boss! :cool1:

Cheri...I hear that they are boarding differently in LA than in Florida. When you arrive to check in, they give you a boarding group number (sounds kind of like Southwest Airlines :sad2: ). Then, rather than lining up, you sit around anywhere in the terminal until they call your boarding group number...then everyone with that boarding number boards. You won't have to worry about that, though, since you are concierge. Concierge still boards first, I believe! :bounce:

Hey...talk about a small world! We took Alexis to her first day of day camp today, and my son told one of the teachers (he tells random strangers all day long!) that he is going on a Disney cruise. Turns out that Alexis' afternoon enrichment teacher is going on a Disney cruise too...on July 9th! :earboy2: What are the odds that at a little known day camp in a little town (Claremont) we'd find someone going on OUR cruise??!!???

Did you warn her about us!

WOW!!! Spa appointments are becoming pretty scarce!! We already booked the Couples Massage back when on-line booking became available but I was trying for a pedicure or facial. I couldn't get a decent time for the pedicure, without having to be at the spa at 8AM (not happening on vacation) and luckily I got a facial at 10:30AM on Friday. A pretty good time for a sea day, but times were really scarce. Luckily we all knew about and booked a long time ago. Hopefully they've saved some spots for those who didn't know, if not, they're going to be disappointed after getting on board.

Wouldn't that be a sight!! The two of us dangling by threads, matrix-like, with our lime green shirts highlighting every attempt to climb. Of course, we'd kill ourselves from laughter. :rotfl:

Ya know, it would be great excercise for our Mickey Slide Excursion. :teeth:

Guess what was on my front porch!!??!! I was shocked that Tigger let the man/woman in. UPS has never done that before. I was so excited. The stoway list is getting smaller!

Not small enough. Where are my docs??? No one in our party of 4 families has gotten them yet.

:rotfl2: Amy, you are right on! We would be laughing too hard to make it off the dock! :rotfl2: Thank goodness Brown came through, eh?

Now about that practice for the midnight slide ... (Mike did our matching thongs come in yet ?:rolleyes1 )

I'm about ready to burst, I'm so excited. I had to send off Neighbors #2 to tonight to San Pedro. I had to fight the urge to beg, "take me with you, please!!" You know of course, these next two weeks are going to go by so sloooooowly...

Oh, almost forgot: Timmy turned 12 today! Remember what you were doing 12 years ago? Mike/Sara, don't blink. It goes by THAT fast.

Sheila...I didn't...she seemed so innocent and unaware! Plus she's moving to a new house next weekend and THEN will need to pack for her, DH, and kids age 3 an 1!!! I just didn't think she'd be able to handle it! :rotfl2: She doesn't even know what deck she's on! Obviously some sort of non-planner disorder!!!!

Fresh news, straight from San Pedro!

I just now got off of the phone with Neighbors #2 boarding the Magic this morning. They got to San Pedro at 9:30 and were the 3rd family there. Now, 10:20, they were just starting to "check" people in - guess that means they are opening for business.(No word on when passengers would actually be allowed onboard though.) It's like Cattle Air, I mean, :rolleyes1 Southwest Airlines in that you are given a group number according to when you arrive. Group #1 gets on first, then #2, etc. There is a separate line for concierge stuff, Craig ... and Amy -whose upgrade is coming any day now :wizard: There is also a VIP room :confused3 (for the DIS'ers, of course! :rotfl: )

So, if you care about getting on before the masses, plan on getting there early. Soccer-family will most likely be there very early. We just have to find the nearest Starbuck's. I hear they open at 5:30. :rotfl2:

DEAR ALL,
TO CONTINUE...I AM THE QUEEN OF LISTS AND NO PACKING AND I WILL HAVE 3X MORE STUFF THAN MY SIS....INCLUDING MY XXL SCRAPBOOKING STUFF AND LOTS OF BOOKS TO READ.
DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT THE SHOWS...WHAT NIGHT FOR WHAT SHOW OR WHERE TO LOOK FOR THIS INFO???? :rotfl:
THANX FOR THE PHONE # FOR THE DOCS...I WILL BE CALLING ON MONDAY
JOAN :earsgirl: :rotfl: :earsgirl:

Joan,

Where are you planning on scrapping? I have so much to do and never thought about bringing it along on the cruise.

Thanks for the info, Cheri. I was planning on getting there early but I think you will beat us! Since there is a Starbucks on every corner I am sure you will have no trouble finding one. I guess we can bounce off the walls at the terminal just as easy as we can at home. LOL. I am already bouncing off the walls and I have started packing. Just couldn't stand it any more. I am just figuring how to get through the next two weeks!
Lori

I wish we could get there early, but I think we'll be later :guilty:

It's looking like we're going to have to leave here around 3:00AM, (catalytic converter just died & it's $1000 just for the part :scared1: ) so no hotel room for us the night before. I'll scrimp where I can - every little bit helps. I just hope Lexi can stand waiting around in the terminal. On the plus side, it means that we should ALL be ready for a nap by the time the let us into our cabin. And that means that we should be fresh and ready to tackle the lifeboat drill and the sailaway party. :bounce:

Thanks for the wishes Cheri! My docs confirmed I'm still on Deck 2. Go figure! But with all the green shirts invading the terminal on 7/9, I'm hoping we'd have our own VIP room. :cloud9:

I've been curious too as to whether DU funded our thong venture. :confused3
