July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

I booked a Palo Brunch today and got Erica registered for the club. Her birthday is one day off on the club registration page. Did anyone else have that problem?

Went to the special event at DL yesterday with my sister. Even though the streets were very crowded with media, the lines for most of the rides were very short. So we had a fun, stress free, kidless day. Sara and Mike - it was good meeting you!

I'm getting more excited about this cruise every day! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

My kids' birthdays were off by a day also...called DCL and they told me not to worry because there are some glitches being worked out and that their birthdates on the main reservation are correct.

Kim -- Thanks for the information. Well that answers my questions as Dylan's was also off by a day!!! I was going to ask my TA about it.

I got Dylan registered for the Lab. I need to have my TA look into my dining rotation. I hope it is PLA. I will see if she can arrange it as I really like Lumineres for formal night!

Did anyone notice if we could book the Stem to Stern Wine Tasting online? I didn't see it and really wanted to get my ressies in for that one.

I was also interested in the Stem to Stem wine tasting and didn't see it. I sent an email to DCL asking about it. I'll let you all know what I find out.

I'd also be interested in a master list of all the DISers on our cruise if that is available.

Amy and Susan, I didn't see anything on there for that, so I don't know about the "Stem to Stern" wine tasting. However, don't forget about the "Afternoon Aft" wine tasting that you're already booked for....Monday afternoon, that is, aft in SR 8102 at the on-board party!!!

Kim, I went online for the Palo brunch ressies, but of course it wouldn't let me book a group that big, so I'm going to call the concierge service (today, I hope) the see about making special arrangements.

Susan, I'll e-mail you the spreadsheet that has all of us crazy DISers  listed.

No doubt we can! I'm sure we'll surpass 90 this weekend!

By the way...an informal poll...tuxes or suits/sportcoats for the guys on formal night? I know there is always a range, but I want to know what the guys in this group are doing this cruise. Trying to make a final decision for my two guys!

Suits for my two guys!

Kim, were you able to pick your dining rotation? If so, I'll email my TA. If not, I won't bother.

Karen

Karen...not officially....I was able to request it with REAS, but it is not guaranteed and I won't know for sure until sailing.

Kim :flower:

Mike's probably going to be in a suit for formal night (tried the tux this weekend & it seems to have shrunk and a new one's not in the budget).

Sara

As for Formal Night, we're skipping it. We'll probably eat at the buffet upstairs. I don't feel like lugging the clothes and leaving them packed for a week before they get unpacked again. We're eating in Palo on Semi-Formal night, so that takes care of that one. As for dining rotation, it is just that a request. We had the REAS on our Nov 04 cruise and didn't receive the rotation we asked for, nor did we receive ANY of our dining requests. We had asked for APL (the preferred Western rotation) and a table for 4, got neither. So, don't be suprised if you don't get any of your requests with the REAS, one of the reasons we didn't book it for this cruise. Also, because we are hoping for a suite to come through and were hoping concierge would be able to make the ressies for us. So far, nothing...... And with all my ressies made now, no need for concierge!!!!

As for me, today was day 2 of therapy. I don't hurt as much as day 1, but it still is hard not to be able to do 30 bicep curls on my left side with a 3 lb weight, kind of depressing...... I'm working hard, and hopefully will be slightly better by the cruise. If not, I joke to Darren I might need an ECV while walking around DL so I won't get too tired. It might happen, but hopefully not!!!!!!

Only 2 more pages towards our goal of 90 pages.... Lucikly for Chris and Cheri, we're making the goal WAY before sailing, so they have time to save for that round of cocktails (Non-alcholoic for me)!!!

And yes, that was a pitiful attempt of moving the post count up, as is this post!!!

Kim-

No tux for me. Bringing a dark suit for formal night and a jacket for the evening that we are going to Palo's.

Kim,
I know that my ds won't be in a tux. We will probably put him in the clubs on formal and semi-formal night. He will wear a shirt and a little clip on tie when we are in Luminere's. We can't decide for DH. I would love to see him in a tux. the final decision will rest on if he can get into his suit(s). If he can, then we will probably just buy a couple new shirts, if not then maybe the tux as it would be cheaper to rent than to buy a suit or two. But on the other hand I would love to see DH in a tux. So basically I don't know either! LOL!
Lori

DS will be in a suit for formal and semi-formal night. He will be in shorts 5 minutes after dinner, but at least he will wear it for dinner!! I did request PLA rotation from my TA and she said that she would take care of it! I guess I will see if it works.

I am sure that we will make 90 this weekend althought I am expecting company so from me the posts may be light!! :cool1:

Great News -- they finished the Bar yesterday!!!   It only took 5 months when they said 6 weeks!! Anyway it looks great and was almost --- I said almost worth the wait!!!!! :rotfl:

Happy Mothers day to you all!!

Sheryl

Has anyone gone to High Tea before? Do DH's like it? What kinds of things do they serve? I wish they had something like that for DD and I. We would have so much fun.

Absolutely a tux for Stu (DH). We got it on Ebay a few years ago and I got him a Mickey Mouse vest and tie for Christmas. Besides, he only wears it on the cruise and the formal theatre awards dinner we go to in the Fall, so it's worth it! And, he looks so GOOD in it

I made our Palo Brunch ressies for Monday, 7/11, which is our 24th anniversary! So nice to be able to do that ahead of time.

Happy Mother's Day!

Val,
