July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

I called DCL and they said you have sign up on board for Stem to Stem.
But I'll definitely be at the Afternoon Aft wine tasting on Monday - it sounds great! And thanks for the offering to send the list. It will be great to see who all will be on board.
On another note, I got my T shirts today - they're great! I'm getting so excited! Can't wait to meet you all there!

Amy and Susan, I didn't see anything on there for that, so I don't know about the "Stem to Stern" wine tasting. However, don't forget about the "Afternoon Aft" wine tasting that you're already booked for....Monday afternoon, that is, aft in SR 8102 at the on-board party!!!

Kim, I went online for the Palo brunch ressies, but of course it wouldn't let me book a group that big, so I'm going to call the concierge service (today, I hope) the see about making special arrangements.

Susan, I'll e-mail you the spreadsheet that has all of us crazy DISers  listed.

Chris

Happy Mother's Day! :daisy: The sun is out and it's look like it will be a great day.

Do we have official plans for the DIS meet/sailaway party yet? Like when and where. Just wondering. I think I'm going to need a mini itinerary for myself to remember what I've planned with everyone.

It looks like tomorrow may be 90 page day! :cool1:

Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms out there.

We are closing in on the 90-page date, so I guess I have to go back and read the posts to see whose guess was the closest. In hindsight, I should have just updated the spreadsheet as the guesses came in. Oh, well.

Also, if we hit the mark tomorrow, that will be exactly 2 months to the day before sailing time!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

:wave2: :cloud9: :rotfl: Dear all,
We are booked for everything...that was a relief because otherwise i would be booking for 2 families , because we get onboard before my sister.....

i filled out a survey on the dcl web site praising the ability to book online...but i also see that there does not seem to be much available for the people who don't know to book early .....hopefully they have put some aside...

i hope everyone has a great Moms day.....Lori,feel better every day .........
this is my effort to 90 pages!!!
 Joan

According to my calculations :teacher: the 11th post after this one will trigger the 90th page

I wonder who's gonna submit the "magic" post??!!?? Oh, and no fair submitting 11 straight "puff posts"!!!

Chris

I hope all the moms enjoyed their mothers day!!! I had a relaxing day!!! So. only 10 more posts after this one for the magic 90 pages!!!

Chris...any news on the DIS Sunday brunch? Also...is the wine/cheese party in your suite at 2:00 or 2:30 on Monday?

Kim :flower:

Wishing all the moms a Happy Mother's Day! I've been at National Scrapbook Day weekend since Friday afternoon...I scrapped 40 pages!!! Got home this morning to go to church and spend the day with my babies. It's been a beautiful, sunny day here.

Kim :flower:

40 PAGES!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could get 40 pages done that fast! Hay Caramaba! Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers on the board, including my own!

Happy Mom's Day to all those Mother's out there. :grouphug: As Junibell said we have got all our Palo ressie's and the kids are all registered for the club and lab. The last time my ds wore a suit I had to bribe him, don't know what we'll do this time-maybe a little pixie dust would do the trick? :wizard: Is anybody from these boards going to be at DL before the cruise? We're going July 5-9. Patty

We were going to go to DL for a few days before the cruise, but now DD has daycamp until the 8th. We currently have a room reserved for a few days after as well, but I think the crowds will probably be insane, and as AP holders we can pretty much go anytime...so I'm leaning toward cancelling right now. Still contemplating....

Kim :flower:

I think we're leaning toward sportcoats and ties for the guys right now...though I still would love to see them in tuxes!!! I think it would make for a great picture, but since we already bought navy blazers to wear for semi-formal night and Palo, it seems like a better idea to use them again for formal night and not have to spend the money to rent tuxes. I could use that money in the spa! ;) And it really seems, the more I read, that we'd be in the minority with tuxes...and DH would not be happy about that! But I'm still leaving my options open!

Kim :flower:

Marching our way towards 90!!! Happy Monday everyone!!! Today is day 3 of my torture, so I'll be there today.. YIPPEE!!!!

I got the excursion packet from my TA, finally. Not that I need it now. The picture for the excursion we are going on looks beautiful. I can't wait.

What a wonderful Mother's Day! My DD wrote me the most beautiful card. I cried so hard. They made and bought me some very thoughtful gifts. Then DH surprised me with not 1, but 2 complete spa packages at a very nice spa here. He said he felt so bad about taking me away from my friends, he wanted me to pick one of them and spend a relaxing day with her. We went over for a BBQ to my best friend's house yesterday and surprised her with it. We have another good friend who also has a gift certificate for the same place, so the three of us will go there for the day. Can't wait!

As for DL, I am running out of weekends to go. We are probably going to SeaWorld and Legoland with a couple familiies the only weekend we had left before the cruise. I would love to stay and the Disneyland Hotel before we move, I wonder if they are totally booked after the cruise.

Okay, I'm rambling because I wanted this to be long so maybe we would reach 90 pages this morning. We'll see if it worked. :cool1:

Have a great Monday. And hang in there Lori.

Karen

So, now that we're at the 90 page mark, we should all let Chris know again what our sailaway drink is... I'll have a Virgin Pina Colada or a Virgin Sailaway drink if it's the Strawberry Daquari and Pina Colada mix.

As to the question of who called the date correctly for when we would hit 90 pages, I refer all to post #997 on page 67 of this thread. :rolleyes1

Well folks, congratulations on hitting the 90-page mark, and especially for doing so with a ton of time to spare. I am pleased to "officially" announce that you are now each entitled to a beverage of your choice at the sail-away party, compliments of Soccermom and me!!!

The only downside of this is, with the 90 page goal now achieved, and with everyone having already taken care of their on-board and off-board bookings, we're going to have to come up with some ideas on how to continue to motivate postings. We've been talking about the 90 page thing for so long, I'm feeling a little melancholy now that it's over with!!!

Kim, the last word I heard was that to do brunch like that as a group, there is a way to "logically" group our itineraries together (i.e. individual families travelling as a group), and then they book the ressie that way, with us all being seated together. However, I'm not 100% convinced this is the only way, so I'm waiting to hear back from the concierge on that. If it is the only way, then that answers the question asked earlier about whether this group brunch would count towards each family's "one brunch at Palo's" limit: it would. The question I would pose, then, is whether those of you planning on this are willing to to foresake the individual brunches you've booked in order to attend the group brunch?

The party is at 2PM, but it's hardly necessary to be punctual (though I can't guarantee that there will still be chocolate-covered strawberries left over for those that wait too long). Also, just so you know, we plan on serving appetizers a little more substantive than just cheese!!

Congratulations, Sheila, for being the "golden poster" that triggered the 90th page. You have secured yourself 100 points and a shot at the bonus round!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I had already put you down for a Bahama Mama, based upon an earlier post. Are you officially changing your mind??

No question, Craig is the winner on this one!! Another 100 points. Perhaps you should talk to Sheila about pooling your points together so that you guys can get something really nice!! :teeth: :teeth:

My suggestion, based upon prior cruises, is on Deck 10 overlooking the pool area where they have the big party while the ship pulls away from the dock. With a 5PM sailing, that usually means 4:30 or so.
