Starting to think of fish extender gifts. no extravagance from us...sorry!! but definitely participating!!! probably a lot of little things rather than one or two nice things. most likely geared towards any kiddos.

I'm very excited about our FE gifts! :o) I have several items for the adults and a bag of goodies for each child! I can hardly wait to pass them out! The adult surprises are fun and useful... and specific to this cruise! :) Have I mentioned that I can hardly wait to pass them out?!? ;) I hope we have lots of people participating - I have enough for 100 cabins! On my spring break 3-night cruise last month, we had 18 cabins participating and it was tons of fun! I figured that this cruise has way more DISers, so hopefully a lot of people will sign up. The more the merrier!!!

That's great Lisa. :thumbsup2

We are a family of 4 with a DD (15) and a DS (13). It will be nice to meet you before we cruise.:woohoo:

Kim

Saw the pic! Cool :cool1: I love it. How far out from the tower where the kids? They look like giants! Great shot....

I have a lot of catching up to do! We're taking the kids & another family with 2 kids to Star Wars Weekends next weekend for a surprise 4 night trip for all the kids. It's also the friend's kids first trip! So much pressure!!! But I love our DVC for being able to bring them :goodvibes

When do we find out about air if we booked through Disney? Is there a place to find it on disneycruise.com? I'd like to get our transportation to the airport done soon.

Anyone else starting to panic about this volcano ash still being an issue in July?? :scared:

Great picture of the kids. At least now I have an idea of who we are looking for! :cool1:
See you on the 4th!!!!

DH checks daily. I can't stress about it, so I leave that to him... if it comes to it, we fly somewhere else in Europe and try to make our way to Dover by the 6th!

Yes, this will probably be a huge problem for awhile. I figured we'll get there but with delays which would be a bummer in my book but I guess it could be worst. I'm so glad we have trip insurance because if we don't get to go we'll be going somewhere else.

Our Costco hasn't stocked Salmon in a few weeks because they get their Salmon from Sweden. Who knew?

Tina

When will the FE list come out? I need to get working on my gifts....:surfweb:

Last I heard from Joanne - she said this week, I think? I have enough for about 25 staterooms, so I cannot wait to start organizing my treats. :goodvibes

And yes, we're worrying about the impact of the volcano as well. I don't suppose Disney has said anything about any alternative plans... :confused3

And.. I'm thinking of hosting a prize for the best decorated door.

Was that already in the plans? I didn't see it, but missed a few posts. :rolleyes1

Yikes! I hadn't been planning to decorate our door other than a few fun magnets. Guess I'd better start thinking about that! :)

Thankfully this year I don't have to worry about flights and delays, just got to hope that all motorways (Interstates to all our US friends) are congestion and road work free and that the ferries don't go on strike as then they use the motorway as a car park for all the lorries. Oh the joys of travelling. I think I've finally got eveything I need for my FE bags, just hope I have enough to go round.

Yahoo!!! I bet that feels good....

Can I get your first name and the first names of those in your cabin? Need it for my FE idea...
thanks
denise

It does feel good! I can't believe it took so long!

I'm Linda. My husband is Scott. The kids are Daniel, Kaitlyn and Gwen.

I'm working on my FE idea tonight as well!

I found out of flight home when I went to do the on-line check in. It showed in the ground transportation. We are flying Virgin Atlantic home :cool1: The flight isn't until 5:15 that night, but I assume with customs, travel time etc it won't seem as long of a wait. Now I wish we could get our flight info there so I could set up our transportation to JFK.

My parents also got their stateroom. Our reservations are linked but they got one a floor away, otherside of the ship and completely other end of the ship. Unusual since we've done this several times before and we've either been right next door or just a few rooms away. But looking on the bright side, if there is more scenery on one side of the ship compared to the other, we can just go to the appropriate stateroom :upsidedow

Very productive weekend!

We hooked the computer up to the TV & I showed the boys all the excursions we have planned & didn't get much -ahhh why do we need to do that, just my youngest saying we're going to walk alot :happytv:

I got my Capital One card with no foriegn transaction fee, like my Disney card! So I booked our Dover hotel (post-cruise) & our Stonhenge trip. I think the only things I have left are the train trips Dover/London & Oyster cards. We all know that there's probably 50 other things I'll think of because I just said that! :lmao:

Ah, the last little bit of planning.

I still haven't decided between the oyster/travelcard, but you know, I'm just not going to sweat it. After spending probably over 30K on this trip, a few bucks isn't going to make a bit of difference. At the moment, we'll probably get 7 day travelcards for mom and dad, and then one day travelcards for the kids. I know its easy to get the oyster photo card ahead of time, but I guess I favour the convenience of the one day travelcard...don't fuss with the whole photo thing.

And my other dilemna, which is how to get back to London from Dover, well, we're in Dover for 3 days before the cruise so I'm going to assess the whole national express trip to London if the Leeds excursion doesn't work out. We are staying at the Parkwood Hotel which is about a 10 minute walk from the Grosvenor Hotel, so we'll just taxi from there:)

I have an idea of what we are doing in London, but not when. I sort of want to play it by ear and decide each day. That's what we did in Hawaii last year and it was just great.

I love hearing everyone's plans...now I just hope that the volcano won't interfere with the flights. I know for sure I'll breathe better once we've landed in Gatwick. If the volcano has the interfere with flights, let it be on the way back!

that's how we're doing London - we have a list of things we want to see & do - what we do is what we do - our only "have to" things are Ceremony of the Keys & the Stonhenge trip.

Everytime Tim sees anything about that volcano he freaks out. Hopefully it'll be mostly done by July 1st

& I'm glad about the post-cruise, hopefully you can do the Leeds tour, but I like your attitude

I can't wait to hear from the people on the first two baltic cruises! I hope they post daily! That gives us time to change our minds about excursions, etc! And I can't wait to hear about the shows and special evenings! :yay:
I'm excited about meeting everyone too. My last cruise we were late for the dismeets, so I'm glad that this time we meet for dinner and then have a dismeet planned on board. :flower3:

It has been pretty exhausting booking 20 months out...its hard to sustain the whole planning thing. My mind is already set for this December (Maui) and next summer (the Alaska cruise). Since it leaves from Vancouver, and I live close by, for once I don't have to worry about planes! :thumbsup2
DCL also ports at my city of Victoria for the repositioning cruises, so I'm planning on being there to see it. What a thrill![:cheer2::cheer2:

My kids love the smilies and want me to use them as much as I can:banana:
