July 30, 2010 Mickey's Adventures England to Espana Cruise

I don't know, maybe the excitement will begin...

I just got in the mail some books (used) from Amazon for our cruise - one on the history of Spain, one on the sieges of Malta and one about women's lives in ancient Rome.

I thought on the PC cruise I had researched, but I never felt educated enough about Cartagena. That whole city took me by surprise! I read a lot about the Pc tho...

I think, by the beginning of this trip, I will once again be able to bore my family to DEATH with my thrilling historical tales...

Remember how George Bailey dreamed of travel? That's me too -ever since I was 7 or 8. Only very recently have I been able to go places. Of course, I dream of passing it onto my kids...but I have found the most important travel accessory for them is an IPOD so they don;t get BORED!!! My kids spent most of the PC transit day in the clubs or hanging with their friends. :sad1:

At least I was able to fully enjoy the day...

Sorry, Kathleen, but I think you got your threads switched -- this isn't the Malta, Rome, thread . . .:goodvibes

Julie-

I LOVE the Baltic Ballyhoo design! It's great. Did you make it? Hope everyone is having a great week. I'm just glad that I won't have to see anymore election related television ads....they were getting a bit old. Take care!

Jenn

Cadiz Spain does anyone know what trips they ususally offer, it seems pretty close to Morroco?

Ha! I did switch my threads! Teach me to post at 5 am or so before coffee!! I will try to unswitch myself today...

You know, I thought the brain drain I first experienced years when pregnant would get better after I gave birth.

HAHA! Jokes on me!

I wish I could take credit, but a guy named Mike on our July 18, 2010 Baltic cruise meet designed it . . . I think it's terrific, too!

I was there last summer -- no, you couldn't get to Morocco, but you could get an excursion to Jerez for equestrian things, or to Seville. Cadiz itself is a nice walkable old city with great beaches, so we did it on our own last year and plan to again in 2010.

No problem -- on the other thread, I had written and posted an entire paragraph about Vigo before noticing!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I just didn't want someone to get really confused who is only on one of the cruises and wonder about Malta on this one or Lisbon on the Med . . .:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Julie!!

Really cool design!! Hey should I add that name to the thread!!??

Do you mean the Baltic Ballyhooers? It is the name given to our Baltic cruise by general consensus . . . we will need to figure out a more elaborate name for this one if we want one . . .

didn't everyone decide on one...or is everyone to tired of voting!! HAHA.

There were several votes for the From England to Espana title . . . but my guess is that most people are fine with whatever we call ourselves, as long as we get to go on the trip! i know I'm in that category . . .

the signature..is too cool, :hippie:

...how do you get it?

...well the election..is over??? while "we" didn't win...[ it figures,

we haven't won...in the last 3 elections, :rolleyes1 ]. really?
does it makes..a diference?....personally, it's bothersome..his name.
..however, i believe in giving any person..a chance.

...it's seem soo strange...many from the pc cruise...are here, but
we never met. our table mates..were "gerffic"..& we got along....
in grand~style. so much that there was another young family
with lil'kids...& they "joined us". :grouphug:

* i believe...the best way to enrich...one cruise....is to share &
assist whenever/whoever....needing it.

help?...i am getting soooo frustrated....we took alot beautiful pictures
but..whenever..i try to get actual photo...wallgreens..are cutting way
to much off [ like chopping mickey's ears...]. how can this be prevented?

...speaking of pictures...my wife...took alot..that has alot of strangers?

in them....could be some of you here? ;)

..well, rjayl? ....if i was a betting man.....odds on favorite..that
morrco..would..welcome..you, :thumbsup2 , dancing girls & all..
the trimmings....

like..i said..before..i'm real xcited..with this cruise! :yay: , i love
to show......my wife...her hometown.

..ha! a girl from...pactenkirchen..would never "date"..a boy from

..garmisch. ahhhhhhh, traditions. [ the thing that separted the
2lil'towns?...used to be the train station.] fyi.

however, on this cruise..we know nothing, sooo there's going
to be alot firsts.

us~~we're older, and very family-oriented. however, that dosne't
mean..we don't kno how to have fun. :dance3: ( true, i 've
"cleared....dance floors before...soooo rjayl? whats your talent?
..throwing cast members..for half gainers? )

..on out first..date..i brought...my future..sweetie...one of
those.....giantic..hersley's kiss. i whisper..."hint~hint.' dog-
gone it...she was hard..hearing, :snooty:

Ok so which name do you all want?:confused3

1) England to Espana
or
2) Baltic Ballyhooers

I will keep track the next couple of days and which ever has the most votes will be our name.:cool1:

I would just like to note that this cruise won't go to the Baltic ;) so perhaps it's not the best name . . . but I will go with whatever people want. The Baltic cruises start in Dover but go up through the Baltic sea and visit Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, St.Petersburg, etc. . . This cruise starts in Dover but then heads south through the Atlantic and through the strait of Gilbraltar into the Med . . . I have the Baltic logo because I am also doing the July 18 Baltic cruise before this one.

Well you could always be the Barcelona Ballyhoo'ers!:lmao: :rotfl:

Now Ilike both - Barcelona ballyhooers or England to Espana.
Maybe someone could just pick. ?

As I tell my family, I am glad to be the "planner" but not the "decider." Of course, I did post on the wrongboards...

Lil Grumpy - we do our photo editing at Costco...always been very happy with them. Do you have one in yr town? Cheaper than Walgreens...

Amazing all of you were on the PC cruise. While we are always very friendly - my kids esp. - we do like our quiet family time. Its not often we get 2 uninterrupted weeks(no Scouts, football, softball, baseball, basketball etc.) together. So, sometimes, we just hung out together - altho we love talking to the CMs.

Having said that, we were amazed at all the groups that bonded on the PC. Looked like everyone was having a blast.

Forgot to add:

1) Lil Grumpy. Yr posts are very interesting, but I can't always follow them all!
I won't comment on political views (don't want thread closed) but its good we all get to vote. People can argue politics as much as they argue which DVC resort is best. That issue gets so heated its ridiculous!

2) Tablemates - we linked with a great family on the PC cruise. Mom, aunt and 12 yr old son. But, this time we might not link w/anyone. One thing we noticed - we weren't able to bond as a family over dinner. It seemed we spent so much time going separate ways on the boat that dinner was the only time we connected - having another family there meant we counldn't "talk among ourselves..."

morrco..would..welcome..you, :thumbsup2 , dancing girls & all..
the trimmings....
No I can do that at Epcot, but I have never been to Moroco so would have been interested if a trip was offered.
