..sorry..for being so neglectful....[ ben 'havin....

..a sourful week....including multiple..trips to the dentist,

& oral surgeon- talk 'bot..fun stuff, ].

...& there's another..site on the community boards , where
lots of friends..& folks...hang out. [ everyone-

....we skipped most of the shows...however, we took alot
videos..., & may....have recorded..do you know....what event
and if they played it more than once? ps, we haven't even
begun..to work...on the videos, as our pictures...


.....so...i had to track down..where i read..about the "property -
incident", ....ironic enough, it was presented as a question,
about reserving lounge chairs, by jaynep, currently on pg. 7.

....andrew & lisa...from our cruise....offered their "experiences".

pretty... to me..,we spent alot deck time..but never had
the same kind of problem/s. ..

...i could be wrong..but i think, the disney co., are expecting
a higher level from their guests. the problems are occuring
on an individual basic..& when the cm..realized...the crap
wasn't going to fly..he tried to apologize..by, stating they
are instructed by disney.."try to plez..everyone".

ok?...that makes..excellent commercial sense *if everyone is
operating @ the expected levels.."good manners~101".

in our 6 cruises, we have had several encounters, with
those..willing to demonstrate..intrusive behaviors. our
responses, have been ...simple redirecting & limit setting,
and movin on....,

& with that..spirit..i hope those on the pc cruise...had a

..experience~ wow, i'm still..glowing"...& couldn't been

more... ..from the once in a lifetime experince. now if
i could jus get...our pictures processed,

..as for this cruise?.....can one say.."great expecations?!!!'

..[ we reveiwed..all the cruises, and this one..jumped....@ us,
mostly..for all the dreams..we had.....ever since we've been
together...including..my hosteling & backpackin...days, ]


...my father..was pur' irish while..my mother..was all
french...needless to say, we were a family of 12,

..then my wife~~being everything german......set the table,


for....an interesting life together, oy!..that we have had!

. * personal note....in the late 80's....my wife..

was pushing..toward doing cruises. well dear, if disney..ever
go into the cruise business..then we're go. dwats~, i never
thought...they would. & when they did...all my reversing,
rationizing..didn't stopped..her getting us on..one of the
first..wonder's cruises...& the rest..is history. ps, she took
her whole family. ~

on our pc cruise..we're hoping..our college..sons..were not
be....tooo " "...for participating in the disney 's
presentations"~~~hooray, they did much better..then we
expected..in large part....disney made a few adjustments too!
..* an adult man..came up to my son..in the airport, to
say good bye & cheerish..the good times..they had.....
[ i guest..he was one of the enterainers...

as for this cruise.., we have more of a "commemorative objective",
especially with the historical values & our family roots. and
if there's one thing..mental heath has taught me, the disney
magic..is all about sharing & helping others. [ personnaly, i
do not expect the disney co., to be prefect on all fronts. *
i do think..they could improve..their communications..toward
dealin with "people problem"..but i give them a+ for efforts &
encouraging their guests....to make their own magic] & that's
where you can find...me.

one example..was having the maw lil'girl ..in front of all the
princesses..during belle's party?...it made me feel proud..
that disney personnel ..are so dedicated. when things,
go wrong...maybe we can help..them?...when darren told
that lil'new york..girl....no more dvd's-allie/pj singers,
jus about broke her lil' heart....iam glad..i had one of my
kids'...special..pins for her tears. nor will i ever forget
what her mother..did for me. it's these lil'things...i feel,
make the ..real for me. psst, i love hearing
about others..."storys to tell".

oh..sometimes..."people....problems", ...would be improved..by
rallying the person...in distress...., esp., like the situation..where
....the lisa..talked ..about...the guest...losing his cool, &
dubking..one of his son...@ cc. * that's dangerous behavior,
& could resulted..in an accidentally death.., like if his son
had..a heart defect..that..the stress activated? ...have your
kids..ever caused...you to lose..your cool? many times,
others..instead of looking judgmental...would do better if
they offered support & assistance.

...even in the medical field..alot people..have diffculties..with
the concepts..of death & dying..that is, the difference. death?
can/does happened...as fast..as you can "blink"..your eyes.
while dying.is a process...."dangerous behaviors= to us,
are life threatening ~potential. requiring interventions, most
often..awarness..to prevent.

wow..we saw..alot..of people "flying"..on deck 10. do not wear
no -tread shoes...seem to be the culprit. fyi,

..have we decided..on a name?? * i think..the crusie's ensign is

...sooooooooo !......well, the cptain....from our last
cruise..is on another transaltlantic...i don't mean to be intrusive,
but that leaves...a vacant "spot"..& ...by observations,

..we do have ...a fun ~loving , genial person.....with loads of
character ...to spare......would make...i think, a great
commodore among us? sir~ ~ryjal??? salutation,
out~

+++, he's a great game~maker & out to cheer others...
with a good time! jus.. a lil'shy.

...sorry, if i'm over the top. one thing..i did on the pc cruise,
was to interact..with...some california educators..whats wrong
with our gov't..denying our primary educators..to
our youth..on their "developmental needs". * one concept,
( that got me where iam today)..was the great skills passed
on by my elders..& family. why are we determined to remove
this from our schools..will have alot youth failing...their social
needs..resulting..in high-risk behaviors. psst, wanta kno
a trade secret..whenever..we see a major change in
behavior...the very first thing..we evulate for? medical conditions.

oh, speaking..of por manners, soo sorry....for overlooking those
offering their outstanding suggestions..i truly appricated the
offers & valuable input..,

for what it's worth..."the dozers do the european cruise, by

& the "earsgirls- "~~~ sailing for the fun of it!

you know, about bad cruisers, maybe we have been lucky, we have had almost no problems ever. We have always gotten a hammock - they are deserted on CC by 2 or so. We have had a few weird incidents, but by and large I think most of my fellow cruisers have been delightful. Saw a huge difference on the only RCI cruise I was ever on.

Of course, like I said, we tend to float along (no pun intended) on cruises. it takes a lot to get our goat, we all usually just burst out laughing at the antics.

PS - speaking of laughing - were any of you posters part of the hilarious speedo parade past Palo? The pix of that were priceless.

Lil grumpy - thanks so much about the song. i didn't get one response. I have tapes too - maybe it is on one.

I really wish Disney would make cds of the music played onboard and at the resorts!!!

We spent Thanksgiving 2006 on the Wonder and are going on the 7-day double-dip cruise on the Magic this Thanksgiving.

Ok, Since we never got a clear winner on name and alot of you liked the :England to Espana. ( I think that one had the most I likes stated, so I guess in a way that is the winner.) I went ahead and changed and gave our group the name: Mickey's Adventures England to Espana Cruise!

WOW-Thanksgiving is almost here and Christmas is next. I have got most of the Christmas shopping done!!

I like the name and it is fine by me! As for Christmas shopping -- I haven't begun but since it will consist of gift cards and video games, it won't take me long! Creatively wrapping them so as to disguise the identity of the gift inside will take longer !

christmas shopping?~ ..i still haven't recovered from the
pc..cruise.


...been busy still working on our pictures..... , i believe we
took ..more pictures...than...the 5 cruises before.

....not even begining the task of trying to do the direct drive
cameras [we had 2]. so maybe...we got the song. [ i was surprised
that others didn't answered...as there were alot of savory cruisers...
taking pictures..of everything. ]

....did anyone..see that croc?..he was a 20'footer plus! [@ the
begining of the canal ]. . we were loking for sloths...
all thru the canal trees..but never saw any. did meet and did some
talking to the bike kid..ha!..i told him we used to take our old
banana bikes up& down, loggin roads...long before doing this
type of stunts. i liked his lil'spiel about growing up & dealin
with bullys. * this was our second cruise with cpt. xrash..& while
we didn't get to do alot together, it was cool..meeting his extended
family... i was so excited...that my gorwn-up kids...participated &
took character pictures..with their lil'sister.

i've been looking @ my old pictures album, from my jaunts..thru
europe. wow, all the pictures..were faded, ..but it shows
the values..of doing an album. even after all these years..they
were able to remember...so much.

i can see us..taking even mor pictures..on this cruise...french 's
mickey & minnie,

one of my favorite things..of doing, is meeting & leaning others
...sharing the good times, a disney cruise can be.

we're on deck 5. we....only had gty. cat. rooms, buttie, we
were not disappointed. we've been in cat. 11 thru 6, &
i think..[for what it's worth, ], location..is more of
a factor...we...really loved..the location!!!

lil grumpy - I was surprised no one responded to my song question either. Only time Dis has ever let me down! But, it was a WEIRD question.

Why doesn't disney make CDs of their tracks at resorts and on the ships. It would sell out in a heartbeat. (I think)

I did post another question on another board, and no one answered. I love scrapbooking - do a lot digitally. But, I am pretty artistically challenged. So, I look at others examples for guidance (alright - I might even copy - called scraplifting?) Anyway, I posted a question under the creative board for examples of people's PC scrapbook pages. Didn't get a response. Does anyone know anywhere else I might look?

As for Christmas - mostly video games, ipod cards too. Kids are older now. They finally opened the American Girl down store at the Mega Mall here - DD 9 went this weekend to the grand opening. No sign of a recession there. I couldn't go due to sick other kids, but my DH reported it was as jammed as you would think. A new doll for DD is her biggest request.

My gift is, of course, 2 back to back cruises with all of you!! Can't beat that - but hard to wrap under the tree!

Just popping by to say hello to everyone.

Today in Dallas area it is chilly but sunner weather.

Today was my 1st graders Thanksgiving meal at school. It was so cute!!
They had really cute place mats made with there hands as part of the Turkey photo and then laminated. So so cute! I look keepsakes like that!

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is next week!!! Wow does time go by quicker as you get older.
Remember when you were little and everything seemed to take forever.

goodness me..maybe..i'm weird as i dis-n't think..it was a
weird question. however, ..i think ...disney often will do "one" of a kind

...extra things , pending on the cruise. [ based on our previous cruises].

....like on the 11~nighter, they gave our "designer~ mouskteer pins".


...then on our old site..., i have to admitt..i was ..when

they did a "dis-aproving" dis-cuss-ing..over the "fun" @ the adult
pool, ...i didn't see any of thing..i thought was in
bad taste. [ ..on the 11 nighter, you couldn't keep.."ian"
from jumping in the pools, + he once came up while i was video-
taping..& "put on a show- ]. later, he was on one of
our excursion....with his "girl"..oh, my...he was very low key...
,..compared to his antics..on the ship,
sooo i'm taking....he was "serious"...toward his "date". ~

( you know, the one you take home..to meet your parents? )

on an off note, it reminded me..of the first time..i did this. before,
my father dispproved..of every..girl my older brothers brought
home. so i figured, it was just "habit". sooo i was more than shocked,
when my dad met my soon-to-be fiance'. [ he just about fell outta
his chair...]. totally smitten. & my dad...was a very good judge
of character. psst, he was right,too! .

i hope you all take some time to meet her. it's true...that's all it takes
...for others wanting her for a friend. [ she is very busy lady. ]


funny though...we're re~writing..new chapters.....over mental-
health < versus> developmental needs.. but to be truthful..i didn't
understand...some of the "acting outs"..until reading lisa's &
andrew's negative encounters. then it made sense....,[ i really had
to bite..my tongue..not to addressed..some of the most intrusive
behaviors...that we ever experienced.] , ..what kind
of adults...would used..the party noises..to "mouth obscenties"?
on a disney cruise?


all i 'm saying..if i knew then...what i know now,..i wouldn't have been
so generous..& file assault charges. the nerve..of that person..to
even suggest...all was needed "to have ask permission"...neither
arrogant or ignorance -are good "defenses"- because,..in any
situation/s...no person/s ..(male or female)...has the right....to hit another
person. and there isn't a requirment ..for permission...in a common-
grounds area.


* also, this type of person..are most likely attention seeking, &
therefore,...trying...to riled...those they're encountering ..as a way
to "showboat"...their delusional thinkinh. that's why..i never corrected
the story-telling, or the name-calling..., as they'll never accept their
responsiblities and will "rationalizes" until the end of the world. one day,
they will wake up..and realize..not a single..person...on earth..has any
kindness for their well being.

what i 've learn..in my field...the 2 most common causes,for severe
emotional pain..are "losses"- [ parents, job, loved ones, status] &
..loneliness. while..the most common cause for ineffective coping..
..is feeling sorry for oneself -often displayed..in rationizations, delusions,
& projecting blame. *then one of the fascinating element..of
sucessful coping..{that @ first seem liked a contradiction}, is..." nobody
gives 2 cents for those feeling sorry for themselves...". the reason it acts
as a positive affect? "motivation", for others to care for your well being,
~~~one must first demonstrate..all the "good things" you can be!

overall, we have experienced..the majority doing dcl cruises are in
this group...working & helping others..& using good manners. &
most of all...out to have some fun!!! [ one time, when ally & pj..shoed up
@ the adult pool....one fellow cruiser..gave them a big greeting....
..& while they're tryiong to "play" it , they also had great
big smiles.


iam no saint..& i like..the fun..by doing dcl.*no saint, in that i
was accidently..."rude"..to a guest & her daughter..& didn't realized
until she moved. . it was @ the princess brunch... i arrived
there late...& sit down....in the chair..that they were "saving"
..for another person in their group. basically..i was cutting them off,
& instead of telling me, she & her daughter moved to another
table..., then it dawn on me...oops. i kno..alot of people..get awful
defensive..over saving seats..., but if she had told..me they had
another "party" coming..i would have gladly moved..over. so, if by
happenstance..if it was anyone here, i'm sorry ~ , * it
wasn't til seeing the other party..came.., did i realized ..what i was
doing. i felt bad & wanted to tell them so..but my wife..was afraid
they take it the wrong way.

& thanks for listening....& making me feel welcome!....i think the pre-meet
board..is a good way..to make all the cruises special!...

as for above..that is my job..but right now...we're in the local courts...
dealing with a very sick neighbor.., worst substance/s abuser....terrorizing
...us, @ our 20 acreas...in the country [recreational property.]

..and i can't strssed enough..how effective mental health....101
principles..are! they work!

scape-bookers? here?....well..i got started when i backpacked thru..
europe...* i don't do the typical, fancy style..more like the crammin'
everything under the moon...style, ,. for ex.,..i took our lil'
girl's princess autograph....book, .......& transformed ..into..
a 500 pages..."this is your disney life~trips" . ok?..if you get the
idea..she's spoilt..is an accurate..conclusion, * kno
those..stickers..they give...on the tours?..they make neat additions.

...we have tons..of disney..stuff...from all the years....since the
early 80's. you kno the disney's catalogs?...their graphics..also are
cheap, neat..things to do.....

to me?..scape~booking..helps with memory & remnders of things
we would have forgotten..so i think..they are neat things to
do, especially..after.....all the $$$ we spent.

yes..i'm basically..a miser [ though happy]...a regular scrooge!

..& donald..my favorite character..because..he tries..so hard.

We had a "Book Feast" today at our school; on Monday, we're having a PJ party with hot chocolate and PJs at school and then on Tuesday, we're having a "Buddy Feast" with our second grade buddies............since we have conferences next week, this is how we do our half-days!
