July 28, 2007 - Romeancing the Mouse in the Med Cruise Reunion thread!

would love to go -however school does not breakup until 17th July - too late for us getting to the states and on the cruise

Hopefully we'll organise a meet in New york and you guys can help us plan our visit!

Oh, too bad you just missed it by a day or two:sad1: . But as for a meet in NY- ABSOLUTELY!

I'm always up for a trip to NYC!! Count us in!!:cool1:

Hey Helen.......you got our second honorary pirate:

Laura--thank you for the memories! I have seen so many travel ads lately for the Med and see sights that we have seen and it seems like a dream!:) I don't think anything could ever compare to that wonderful trip and all of the good friends!

Sandra--your new granddaughter is beautiful. I love all of the pictures. Keep us posted.

JoAnn--have a wonderful trip. How did Jack do at states? It is truly a gruling sport.

Helen--wish you were closer! It would be so nice to see you! How wonderful to be able to travel with you mother.

MaryAnn, sorry we won't be cruising with you. I just booked all of our flights yesterday for the November cruise. . It was so nice to spend a weekend with our daughter and son-in-law. Our oldest grandson will be at WDW with us before the cruise so we are all excited and ready for some family fun!:rotfl2:

Garry is over the flu, but the cough lingers on. Everyone I know who has had this seems to hold on to the nasty cough. I don't know what the answer is for his shoulder, but I know he won't consider surgery!:scared1:

Spring is just around the corner, so maybe after the big snow we just had we can "kiss" winter goodbye!

Everyone stay warm and happy!:surfweb:

Jack made it to the quarterfinals and then lost.......his third run at states, he'll be a Drexel in the fall...........thx for asking.......still haven't packed yet!:rolleyes1

Not packed yet??????? Well get a move-on, girl!!!!

I like to leave things go until the last minute!:laundy: Also, I always have to finish all my laundry before I pack!

Sorry to hear how long you suffered with the flu and lingering cough. I can well believe he will be coughing well into spring, but at least he feels better and he insists the cough is better! He has been resting. Men seem to be able to do that better than women!:confused3

Sounds like Jack did well. I am sure there was a lot of competition.

I hope by now your:laundy: is all done and ready for the suitcase. I always start lining up my clothes way ahead of time and then when it comes time to pack I always put way too much in the suitcase. Now that they are charging for the second checked bag, I may try to do better, but I will bet on paying for the extra piece. It won't be worth the frustration.:lmao:

I found a really good sale at Kohl's a few weeks ago and got 3 skirts and one top for $12. These are all things I can take on the cruise and will take up little room in the suitcase and won't wrinkle. That is my kind of bargain and the material I like too!:rotfl2:

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Harole Ann,

I was also thinking of clothes that I'll need on the cruise (as if I don't have enough - I did manage to get through 12 days in the Med with what I had :lmao: ). It does seem that I'm accumulating "cruise clothes". Can't wait to feel that smooth breeze and watch that beautiful sunset, ahhhhhhh..............

Sorry guys - didn't mean to disappear- I came down with food poisening that had me out of commission from even my other boards. I am not done by a heartbeat - just slowed wayyyyy down.

JoAnn - sorry about Jack but at least he made it again! What an accomplishment.

OK - got get going - have a DL meet on my May cruise later this morning. BUt I will be back later.

I wish I was closer too! Dave and I are getting wdw withdrawl shakes. I am busy counting down till my next visit - 16 months:rotfl:

I hope Garry feels better soon -I must have missed a post Re: his shoulder. If he wont consider surgery -have you thought about acupuncture - I have it for my back and it is very good -it might relieve some pain.

Take care
x:goodvibes

Andrew,
Sure we can't tempt you to join us on the 7/18/09 Carribbean Tortola cruise. A few of us are on it. Hope you and your family have been well.

Thank you for the invite, but school holidays stop that and I now have my flights and a villa booked in Orlando as well as the Suite on the ship, paid off 70% of that now, as the £/$ continued to be good.

That right, Andrew. I forgot that school is still in session "across the pond" in July. I think we chose that cruise because Tortola wasn't offered later and we wanted to try a new stop.

Has anyone heard from Julie???? I hope she's OK. If you talk to her on your other thread Andrew, tell her to stop by and say Hello!

Hi everyone!

I'm around, just in a busy mode right now . . . a week from tomorrow the girls and I will go for a week at WDW . . . we saw a new B'way show today, "In the Heights" -- set in Washington Heights and with a Latin beat . . . lots of fun.

Love to everyone!

Have a good day, everyone! I'll head over to the parade on Fifth Avenue later today and tonight I will go hear the Chieftains at Carnegie Hall.

So glad all is well. We've missed you. Happy St. Patty's Day. Hope you enjoyed the parade. By the way, was that crane accident near you?

Yes the kids will leave school far later than USA about the 20th of July so that cruise was out.

Well, close is a relative term -- it was on 50/51st and I'm on 88th, so not terribly close, but close enough . . . There are cranes everywhere and it always makes me nervous to go near/under them, and now I have an actual reason why . . .
