Way to Go Andrew - (Just Kidding of course - see the smile) as if we weren't already enough! Now the added pressure of a full cruise! I'm definitely going to be and by the time booking comes along. Had to do something to lighten up! Hey I'll just sick my secret lucky charm on them - DH is the luckiest man alive - he usually doesn't go w/o getting what he wants - don't you all hate those kinda people? My luck runs the other way - if there's anyway to mess it up, miss it, tear it, ruin it, etc - I can find that way.

HOWEVER, I intend to think positive and will see how things go! Then if things go wrong - plan B will take effect. Time to see if my connections in Rome might come in handy!

Hi yes need the DCL reference nos and names of the people who were orginally on the Palo brunch, DCL will only confirm about 30 days out, I have requested the first Sea day, hopfully that assists your plans.

Looking at all of the threads going around at the moment the BIG sightseeing must does appear to sell out fast, Rome, Pomepii, Piza, Monte Carlo.

Remember we are on a very full cruise, the earlier ones were not full.

Yep there is availabily, when I last checked, a few weeks back, ours and the next 10 night Med trip were the most booked and had least availabiliy, of all the Med cruises, poss as we are getting to pay up time they have had some cancellations.

With school holidays I just feel our shore trips will book up quicker.

Since we are the last 11 day, I would think that more people could book at the last minute, too? I guess the good side of being last is that we can benefit from everyone's trip reports and highlights! I am going to need all summer to make sure I am ready for this trip....some things I am learning already.......

-it's going to be hot
-we have to dress appropriately for the Vatican, etc (no open toe shoes, no knees or shoulders bare)
-be prepared for pickpockets and secure your belongings

Agree, looking at availability are cruise is booked up well with only 14 named rooms available, considerable more,availability before in June.

My point is bookings for Shore trips etc, will go faster.

No open toe shoes? did I miss this somewhere? I know about the knees and shoulders. So a nice walking sandal (which is probably not a good idea anyway) is out of the question. I need to take more time and be more thorough when readin.

Andrew - you are great - wow June definitely has a lot more availability. Will prices go up or down as we get closer? I know they are a lot more right now than when we booked.

With 14 rooms available on our cruise, unless lots of people cancel just before payment day I cannot see prices changing. To fill up these few rooms if DCL reduced price the open up to all of the other 'booked' cruisers asking for a refund of the difference, and so it just isnt worth it.

If Disney wants to sell any unbooked staterooms...the only CAT they will discount will be CAT 12. That way they do not need to discount people who have already booked. I think there are only 6 CAT 12 staterooms, but they will let as many book as open staterooms and just give upgrades for no charge. They want to fill these ships. I have read that DCL release a percentage of shore trips/palos at each stage,
1/ 105 days 2/ 90 days 3/ 75, and 4/ on arrival for non internet users.

What percentage for each one its anyones guess, but if bookings for Pisa are fully used at stage 1/ and 2/ it is possible that at stage 3/ some come available.

Also some people might play the game of going for shore trips at stage 2/ and Palos stage 3/ or vis versa, to secure all they want.
